[After a lot of preparation, opening night for Luceti's newest club is finally here. The music is loud and insistent, the kind where you have to shout a bit to be heard above the noise. Flashing, moving lights above reveal the purple decor, mostly devoid of chairs, and plenty of room to dance. A well stocked bar should be able to provide liquid courage to anyone too nervous to shake there groove-thang sober, while a patio out back affords a space for anyone wanting to have more intimate (or just quieter) interactions. There's also a coat room, for anyone looking for a warmer spot for intimate interactions.

The doors open at seven, and will stay open until two am-- plenty of time to drink, dance, talk and generally have a good time. When the DJs aren't spinning, a house mix is put on, so there's never a quiet moment.]

You made a mistake, yes. Bringing a robot that eats metal to a place with lots of metal was a dumb move.

But what's even dumber is if you give up because of a mistake and don't learn anything from it. You made a mistake with your programming, you fix it and make sure it doesn't happen again.

Do you think other scientists and engineers haven't made mistakes? Think about how many things would have never been discovered or invented if someone gave up after the first failure.

[He reads every last word and lets out a soft sigh. She was right, he should learn from this mistake as he has in the past. He bets his grandpa made a ton of mistakes with his capsule technology before he got it right.]

You're right. I honestly need better programming software too or something because I've been thinking of alternatives he could eat instead of metal for days even before reactivating him. I thought of paper, plastic, gas, but nothing organic or it'll ruin his circuits.

[Better programming... food alternatives... paper would put the journals and library at risk. Plastic was a possibility, gas could be difficult.]

Glass as a food source? Also could you use the Battle Dome as a test bed for programming?

[The only concern he has is a shortage which he begins to ponder about.]

The only thing is I'd rather not have the town end up with a glass shortage. Giru tends to eat a lot for a tiny robot.

Perhaps there's someone around here who knows glass making? [There's a beach, there's lots of sand!] Also because the buildings repair themselves, you could remove windows from an unused building.

Those are two great ideas, especially since there's beach near here. But I'm going to get working on this when I get back home then start working at the Dome first thing in the morning.

[Ginia can probably see the cogs in his head turning and he's working on various ideas he can do.]

A more technologically advanced Luceti, taking down the barrier to expand and explore the area beyond. They're nice thoughts, and she won't discourage them, but she can't think about them as anything more than wishful thinking. Maybe it's a matter of the right people in the village, the right minds, but it's also been seven years and there doesn't seem to be any progress.]

I don't see a reason to sit around and do nothing. Why not put your mind to better use for ideas that could one day come true?

It's a good way of thinking. I'm sure there are other people that would be willing to pitch in and help out. I've heard of a few other scientists around.

Journals seem to be good for finding people with similar interests, but for something a little more covert, signs around the smithy, Battle Dome, and Welcome Center would work too.

Really? You sounded like you were interested in it. What type of interests do you have then?

I find it interesting, but I don't have a head for science. I'm more of an arts/visual kind of person.

I had a friend in high school who was like you. I bet you'd like her since she really loved drawing, but it's been ages since we last talked.

I admit I'm horrible when it comes to drawing. More of a music/dance/theatre kind of a person. Ran in the family.
