[After a lot of preparation, opening night for Luceti's newest club is finally here. The music is loud and insistent, the kind where you have to shout a bit to be heard above the noise. Flashing, moving lights above reveal the purple decor, mostly devoid of chairs, and plenty of room to dance. A well stocked bar should be able to provide liquid courage to anyone too nervous to shake there groove-thang sober, while a patio out back affords a space for anyone wanting to have more intimate (or just quieter) interactions. There's also a coat room, for anyone looking for a warmer spot for intimate interactions.

The doors open at seven, and will stay open until two am-- plenty of time to drink, dance, talk and generally have a good time. When the DJs aren't spinning, a house mix is put on, so there's never a quiet moment.]

[Billy idly swishes around his drink and glances back at the DJ area, shrugging his shoulders and leaning back against Teddy.]

Eugene and I did a music swap forever ago, so they probably have most of the good ones already.

[He's actually kind of hoping that it'll play their song at some point, though he isn't holding his breath for it.]

Yeah, and the rest of the good ones are on mine. I should do a music swap with them sometime.

[Billy has some good ones, but Teddy has a lot of top hits on his, as well as several songs from the electronic craze that America's going through. Still, he kind of hopes their song comes on too, but considering it's kind of a slow song...]

You should. But I wouldn't worry about tonight, at least. While our computers were connected I got a look at their tunes. They've got a lot that you'll like.

[They're the local DJs, after all. It's expected that they'd have all the popular stuff. At least until the zombie apocalypse hit.]

That's a relief. You know how many clubs I went to that played the worst kinds of songs?

[... Not a lot, admittedly, since he's still young and he didn't like the methods he had to use to get into said clubs for his friends.]

Ah, right. You party animal.

[Not that he knows a lot about that stuff, but he does know that Teddy was Greg the Asshole's tag-along celebrity to all kinds of places.]

Maybe we can make a request or two to the DJs. We're friends with the owners, after all.

[Teddy snorts and rolls his eyes at that name because lol, him, a party animal. Even when he was friends with Greg, he was never a party sort of guy unless the company was good.]

Yeah... I've got a certain song in mind I'd like to hear. [He squeezes Billy's shoulder gently; he knows what he's talking about, right?]

Heh. Me too.

[He leans in and bumps his head against Teddy's, smiling meaningfully. He gets it. He may or may not have already put in a request, actually.]

[He returns that smile, then takes it a step further by tilting his head to give Billy a light kiss on the lips. But as he pulls back, the song changes into something that's peaked his interest, and his body starts to move to the beat.]

So. Speaking of party animal... [He raises his eyebrows meaningfully and gestures to the dance floor. Wanna dance like a couple of wild teenagers?]

...Shall we dance, Mr. Altman?

[Message is definitely received, and Billy downs his remaining drink and grabs Teddy by the hand, tugging him towards the floor. Hell yes he wants to dance, and as wildly as a PG-13 rating will allow.]

If you insist, Mr. Kaplan.

[Teddy does the same, though he's not quite through with his drink when Billy starts to drag him out to the floor. He smiles around the glass, downing the rest of it before he bends to set it down on the floor, then follows Billy in earnest.

Once they're out on the floor, well... do you know what PG-13 movies can get away with these days? Teddy moves in close, enough that their foreheads almost touch, and sets his hands on Billy's hips while he sways to the music. This right here, dancing with the people he really enjoys being around, as him? That's what he always wanted out of clubbing.]

[Billy quietly hums his approval, his voice half-lost in the thrum of the bass. His arms slide up to wind loosely around Teddy's neck, his body relaxing and letting loose to move smoothly in time with his boyfriend. He's already pressed in close, but with room to get closer if the music takes him there.

He's got a lot less clubbing experience than Teddy; the downside of being unable to shift himself older and being unwilling to go for fake IDs, not that he could ever pass for 21 back home anyway. It might have been easier now, if he'd been so inclined- with his 18th birthday looming the "baby curves" (as his mother liked to call them) and he'd begun to fill out into adulthood nicely. The developing teenage awkwardness making way for the lanky body of a young adult.

It's a very strange sensation, and he suspects he'll feel it more when the day comes, but for now, he'll focus on (and enjoy) the way his body feels and moves against Teddy's. That's what really matters. Lack of experience with the environment doesn't slow him down because the music and the dance comes so naturally to him, and it's here that he knows he can thrive and be truly free.]

[It's this type of dancing that Teddy's more comfortable with; Billy's type is great too, but Teddy always feels like there's a set of rules that comes with that, a certain way to dance and look and everything. But with this kind, all you have to do is move. No one cares how you look here, and you just let your body do whatever the beat makes it do.

Here is where he feels freer, and it helps that Billy feels the same way. Speaking of Billy - Teddy slowly slides his hands up Billy's sides, briefly touches foreheads with him, then pulls his hands back in favor of lifting them up, shutting his eyes, and just letting his body do the rest.

This is why he prefers this over a dance with steps he has to follow. As a shape-shifter, he loves it when his body is free to do whatever it wants - no constraints, no rules, just flow, because what the human body does when it's free to dance is beautiful.]

[Who can say no to the good old bump-and-grind? And speaking of which, Billy's expression shifts to a slightly more deviant one and twists his body while Teddy isn't looking, turning in his arms and pressing up against him. His movements don't change that much, but it might just be a bit more... intense. Or maybe that's just the music talking.]

[Well.

That was fast.

Teddy notices the change as soon as Billy presses up against him, and he opens his eyes to give a similar deviant expression. That's the way we're going to play, huh?

He hardly misses a beat; his own movements don't change much except for his hands lowering to Billy's hips again, fingers splayed on his upper thighs, and letting him take the lead while he keeps their hips together, occasionally pressing his own forward to offer a bump and a grind. Yep - Definitely more intense, especially when Teddy slides one hand up and under Billy's shirt. He's never danced like this before at a club, but it feels natural with Billy, for... well, obvious reasons.]

[Well that escalated quickly.

Billy moves one hand down to press against Teddy's beneath his shirt, in part to add to the pressure, and in part to keep it from going any further, just in case. He trusts Teddy not to lose his head in the middle of the dance floor, and it's thrilling to just think about what they're up to in the middle of the crowd, but... well, he's never done this before. Certainly not in public. And he'd be mortified if Kate caught them doing anything... rated. On the dance floor.

This? This is okay. This is great, actually.]

[As if Teddy would go any further than that - In fact, he was about to smear his hand back down when Billy keeps it there, and - well. He can definitely get behind that. Maybe he'd take it up a notch if they were any place else, especially in private. But in public, and also in Kate's club? Nooo way.

He can't help letting out a laugh, just barely audible over the loud music playing, and give the back of Billy's head a quick nuzzle with his nose while he moves his body to the music, following Billy's lead, yet adding a bit of a sway of his own here and there. Billy's better at the whole dancing thing than he is, after all.]

[Billy may be better at it, but Teddy's no chump at it, either. The way they're moving together feels amazing, so in sync, and it makes him feel grateful for the millionth-or-so time that they get to be like this. Not just after everything that's happened, but at all, when the chances of finding one's soulmate in this world (or any, apparently) are so slim to begin with.

He lifts his free hand back up to slide it through Teddy's hair, down to the back of his neck and holding him there from behind. He wants as many connections to between his body and Teddy's without getting too... rated, so to speak, and this is good enough for him.]

[Teddy's quite all right with this, too. It's the first time he ever got to dance like this in a club, and it's exhilarating. It just adds on to the energy of the party, the thrill of it, and he's well aware of the fact that he and Billy have never pushed it this much when it came to doing anything this rated in a crowded place.

His hands find their way back to Billy's hips, even as the song winds down. So maybe he's still feeling a little energetic; he'll climb down from the high soon enough... if the next song is slower, anyway.]

[The song does ebb into a slower track, and Billy's torn between delight and disappointment as the beat shifts from one to the other. Still, he twists back around in Teddy's arms, resting his hands on the blond's shoulders and leaning in close, facing him this time.]

Kind of feels like home, doesn't it?
