[After a lot of preparation, opening night for Luceti's newest club is finally here. The music is loud and insistent, the kind where you have to shout a bit to be heard above the noise. Flashing, moving lights above reveal the purple decor, mostly devoid of chairs, and plenty of room to dance. A well stocked bar should be able to provide liquid courage to anyone too nervous to shake there groove-thang sober, while a patio out back affords a space for anyone wanting to have more intimate (or just quieter) interactions. There's also a coat room, for anyone looking for a warmer spot for intimate interactions.

The doors open at seven, and will stay open until two am-- plenty of time to drink, dance, talk and generally have a good time. When the DJs aren't spinning, a house mix is put on, so there's never a quiet moment.]

[Levi gives another look around, considering. There's a lot to be seen here, a lot of inferences to be made, depending on the interpretation of her question. But he likes to keep it simple, so he sums up and deliberately over-generalizes:]

[Ginia raises a brow. Really? That's all? Try harder, Levi.]

[he just looks at her. What? He doesn't feel like being all introspective right now.]

[Okay, fine. Give her a bit as she types out a message, much longer than usual. When she finishes, she sets it down so Levi can read at his own pace. Don't mind the smudgy screen. Or do since it's Levi. While he reads, Ginia will clean up her area and check on other customers.]

I see potential. This building is new, built by the people here. That means there are people with knowledge on not only how to build a structurally sound building, but also wiring and setting up a water system.

It's also packed tonight, which can be divided between people who enjoy this kind of environment, people curious about this place, or people looking for a distraction. I see a lot of teenagers and people in their twenties, which seems to be an accurate spread of the village population. It's a good time to meet people and get information. Because alcohol is served here, people will drink, people will drink too much, and people will talk too much.

[really, how is that much different from what he wrote?

But she has a good point, of course. If he wanted to gather information, this was one way to get it. Although communication itself wasn't exactly easy in this type of environment in the first place. He's more interested in her first statement, though.]

Residents built this place from scratch? Do the Malnosso ever create new buildings?

[Geeze Levi not everyone is a creep.

Ginia comes back and reads Levi's message as she reclaims her phone.]

I've been told the Malnosso adjust the buildings in the village according to population and only recently one of the community buildings was removed and all the current ones remodeled.

[A lot of people here are creeps. Law of averages says he's most likely to meet a creep.

And badass military women types, apparently.]

Who built this building?

Unknown, haven't had a chance to find out, though previous buildings were built by Brave Vesperia.

If you get a chance, ask Kate, she's one of the managers of the club and oversaw the construction.

[Ginia pans the club before spotting Kate at the far end of the bar. She'll have to drop by later to chat with her once things have quieted down, but for now, she'll simply point her out to Levi.]

[Levi simply signs 'thank you' and sips more of the drink she'd made him, casting another look around the club.]

[Ginia signs back 'you're welcome' before heading off to check off on some customers, clear some glasses, mix a few drinks. It's a busy, near tiring night, but she's loving it.

When she wanders back to Levi, she quickly pours a glass of water for herself and downs it before typing a message.]

Surprised Erwin isn't here. Not his kind of place?

[reviling]

[he reads her message, shrugs.]

He might come around, not sure. He was out when I left.

[there's a pause, and then he adds.]

I'm sure he'll be happy to come flirt with you whenever you like.

[he just kind of tosses the pen down.]

[Ginia holds back a smile and a soft huff at Levi's words. She picks up his pen and writes neatly below his words:]

Don't be like that, Levi. I'll flirt with you too if you want.

[He flicks her a look, which to anyone used to his looks, could be interpreted as amusement. Otherwise there's not much to differentiate it from his look a moment ago.]

Don't waste your time. I won't enjoy it as much as he will.

[She's learning to read his expressions and also learning how much she can poke at him.]

Nice to know my charms have some affect on him.

[reviling]

I'm sure he'd say the same about you.

[Ginia's smile flickers for a second. Maybe, maybe not. She couldn't deny her attraction to him, both for his intelligence and his physical appearance. He was charismatic too. And that she was losing her edge due to a sharp mind and a handsome face was worrisome.]

If you see him late, tell him I said hi.

How's your drink? Want another?

[Oh, that was an interesting reaction, Ginia. He's not going to say anything about it, though. It's pretty obvious there's a mutual attraction between them.]

I will.

Good. Sure.

[Ginia grabs a clean glass and the tea and lemonade and swiftly layers up another Arnold Palmer. She sets it on a napkin in front of him and takes her time cleaning up.]

/Your signing is getting better./

/Thanks./

[he sips at the new drink. He could actually have it with alcohol if he wanted, but there's still a lot about this place he doesn't know, and he's not going to risk impaired judgment.]

/Learning from the book isn't easy. Better to practice with you./

[he takes his time working that one out, carefully forming each sign as he does every letter when he writes.]

[She keeps her signs slow, sticking to words she's taught him, always glad to repeat or spell out words as needed. It's nice being able to use sign language, even if she knows Levi is learning mostly out of tactical purposes.]

[it is mostly for tactical purposes, but it's also a lot more convenient to communicate with her - especially like this. He doesn't have to shout. Everyone wins.]

/Tell me about yourself. How long have you been in the military? Ask if you don't know the signs./

[The purpose is two-fold; it's good practice for Levi, but she's curious about him too. Getting to know the people she's working with all since the arrangement is beginning to feel more long-term than all of her other alliances.]

[he knows she's looking for information, but he doesn't mind telling her a few things, given that she's by far been the most helpful person they've met here. Still, Levi doesn't really like to talk about himself. Ever. At all.]
