Summary: Kate and Wanda finally unveil their Nightclub.

[After a lot of preparation, opening night for Luceti's newest club is finally here. The music is loud and insistent, the kind where you have to shout a bit to be heard above the noise. Flashing, moving lights above reveal the purple decor, mostly devoid of chairs, and plenty of room to dance. A well stocked bar should be able to provide liquid courage to anyone too nervous to shake there groove-thang sober, while a patio out back affords a space for anyone wanting to have more intimate (or just quieter) interactions. There's also a coat room, for anyone looking for a warmer spot for intimate interactions.

The doors open at seven, and will stay open until two am-- plenty of time to drink, dance, talk and generally have a good time. When the DJs aren't spinning, a house mix is put on, so there's never a quiet moment.]

[She laughs.] ... Yes! ... Exactly!

[Keeping her eyes on him, as she is, she can't help but notice, ]
... Hmm, I-- don't know if you care or not, but-- your tail is showing.

[She hopes he doesn't mind. She'd rather he wasn't wearing the holowatch at all, but that's hardly her call to make.]

My... [He blinks.] My tail? [And he reaches for it and...] Oh no! Mayday, mayday!

[He grabs his tail nervously, looking around in a panic. And then he quickly tries stuffing it down the back of his pants.] No one saw, right?!

[maximoff_girl]

I think I'm the only one. [Now that looks stupid. She cocks her head at him sympathetically.] but... look. Even if they did... one cares. ... It's ok. [She pauses in her dancing, to put a comforting hand on his shoulder.]

[wildbluevagner]

[He halts, feeling softened by her touch. But also nervous.] You don't know that, Wanda. Not everyone... could be cool with this.

[maximoff_girl]

... Then they can leave. This is my club... and I'm not going to let anyone who has a problem with mutants hang out here. [She means that to be comforting, really.]

[wildbluevagner]

[Comforting and mildly terrifying. He looks on blankly for a moment.]

Man... Wanda...

[And then he gives a thumbs up.]

You're too cool!

[maximoff_girl]

[She brushes it off, with a smile.]... I just want you to be happy. [And. Y'know. Mutant superiority to be accepted, but one step at a time!]

... Let's keep dancing.

[wildbluevagner]

[He pauses for a moment, taken aback by that warm sincerity. It reminds him of that other life he had and that girl whom he pined for.

Then he smiles back at her.]

Now there's one way to be happy! [He says as he gleefully resumes grooving.]

[The grooving recommences, then, Wanda starting to feel better about their previous run in. She shouldn't have gone so long without talking to him, after it happened. Everything was fine. Right? ... Right. ... Right?

As she groves, she continues to keep an eye on Kurt, though the amount she's been drinking is starting to catch up with her, and she starts to close her eyes again. Not wanting to make Kurt feel as if he's dancing alone (because, clearly, eye contact is how that sort of thing is signaled. Cleeearly.) She reaches out to put a hand on him. His shoulder, his arm, the middle of his chest-- whatever's most convenient. She intends to keep one hand on him at all times, regardless of what the rest of her body is doing, not unlike a chair at a burlesque show.

She tries not to notice how thrilling she finds it, but it may come out in her dance anyway, her hex aura flaring up here and there, her moves becoming more energetic.]

[He's grooving, and jamming, and he's having a good time. Sometime he does close his eyes while he dances, but it's hard for him to keep his eyes off of Wanda. Everything's so exciting and dynamic.

And suddenly, her hand is on his chest. His pace slows to reflect his surprise and redoubled bashfulness. The sense only increases as he sees he really cut loose. It's kind of overwhelming, and he lowly murmurs at the display.]

Whoa.

[maximoff_girl]

[Given the volume of the music, Wanda doesn't actually hear his comment, and continues dancing, like the flame of a flickering candle. Being in contact with him makes her heart beat hard and fast-- just touching him, never mind remembering what happened on that boat ride.

She's so lost to her own thoughts and sensations, it takes her a bit longer to actually input that he's no longer moving as much as he was when she first touched him. Opening her eyes and pausing in her own dancing, she tilts her head at him, curiously, nervously.]

... are you ok?

[wildbluevagner]

[And then he makes some jittering arm motions to assure here.]

Me? Fine! I'm fine! You're fine! I mean - I am!

[maximoff_girl]

[She's a little startled by the sudden dance!arms, withdrawing her hand from his body for the first time (in what seems like far too short a time) since she first connected with him. Her hand does remain up and hovering though.]

We... both are. Right?

[wildbluevagner]

[He lowers his arms, flustered. Briefly glancing at where her hand just was. He'd gotten oddly used to it.]

We are? I mean um- right! We... We're the finest people around!

[maximoff_girl]

[She also lowers her hand now. How can she go from feeling so brave to shy in such a quick moment?]

... I'll agree with that! [Stupid, goofy, smile. She feels like an idiot around him, but... She doesn't feel bad about it. And usually she does.] ... Um. Did you want to get something to drink?

[wildbluevagner]

[He looks around uncertainly. He's felt perpetually shy, smiling weakly as he points to himself.]

Me? I don't know, should I? [He still feels a buzz from the previous drink.] I'm - I'm messing up, aren't I.

[maximoff_girl]

... If you are, I can't tell. ... I don't-- even know what you could be messing up. ... You-- always seem to land on your feet, no matter what. [Ok, Wanda knows for a fact that's not true, but she means it in a good way, honestly!] And-- you move well. Dance. Good! I mean.

[wildbluevagner]

Thanks! Really, that means a lot from you. [He rubs at the back of his neck.] I guess it helps that my feet are below me, huh?

[maximoff_girl]

Not always.... Sometimes they're over your head. ... When you're hanging from your tail. But you still move just as nicely. [She's trying to be complementary. Really!]

[wildbluevagner]

I- I try to! [He says with a nervous laugh.] If you had a tail, I bet I wouldn't be half as charming! [And he's not even sure where he's going with this.]

[maximoff_girl]

[That's ok, Wanda is just happy to be talking with him. She figures he's making perfect sense, and she's just not understanding.]

If I had a tail... We could hang out upside down together. [Could. Y'know. Maybe. Sometime. If you wanted.]

[wildbluevagner]

[It's kind of weird but also kind of oddly endearing to imagine at the same time.]

Really? I guess I can't say no to just hanging around. And hey, just think of all the tails you can tell!

[maximoff_girl]

[It takes her second to get it, but when she does, she lights up, laughing.] Haah! Oh! [No literally, lights up, her aura flickering, cheerfully.]

God... you're-- so funny. You've got to teach me how to tell jokes like that.

[She flicks her hands, as if trying to get the glowing aura of it, causing a few blue ghost-like fish to appear in mid air, and go swimming off, apparently not bothered by their non-aquatic environment.]

[wildbluevagner]

Really? [He beams at the compliment.] You know, maybe I can admit you into Wagner University. You'll get the coolest education you could hope for.

[But then he blinks and stares as he notices the fish swimming off.]

[maximoff_girl]

[Wanda doesn't really acknowledge the fish. Weird shit is kind of par for the course, and they fade from existence (or get lost in the flashing club lights) not to far from where they popped into being.]

I'm-- always eager to learn. Especially from such a-- high ranking University.
