Snow Fight!

Who: EVERYONE.
What: Snowball free-for-all.
When: February 25th, during the Harvest Moon Valentine's Event!
Where: The road and the area between Houses 16, 19, and 27
Summary: Who knows how it started, but there's a war being waged in the street- and you've just been tagged a few times by a snowball. Join in on the fun, seek revenge, or just try to get out of the fray! Maybe make a new friend or two, you never know what will happen with those Heart Meters!

It was a calm day until someone decided to be a little mischievous. But accidents do happen, and one snowball lead to another until a full out war started in the middle of the village. Everyone for themselves, pelting each other, dragging the poor passerby into the chaos with either a well aimed or not-so-well aimed snowball.

Heh, the Rebellion started at least fifteen years ago. We didn't get real traction until ten, and the Imperial Remnant is still out there, though we control the seat of government now.

It's funny to think, really. that we're the ones in charge now.

And it's amazing! To turn things around like that, especially in such a short amount of time. [To her, fifteen years is short, but that's because she's comparing it to her predicament, at least, the one on her planet.]

I wouldn't call it short.

[Or easy. Or...cost efficient. But it's certainly something.]

Is this something you can relate to?

To a certain extent, yes. [The thought of what was going on in her world always made her frown, especially with the last thing she remembers before arriving in Luceti.]

There's a corrupt, galatic empire where I'm from that needs to be reformed. There have been some small battles with them here and there with those from the free space territory, but all of those were on an individual basis. It wasn't until recently that the idea of them joining together to take on that empire rather than going about our own separate ways was suggested. [She hoped that such would come to being one day.]

Essentially, we'll only be at the start of organizing ourselves for war after who knows how many decades. [The space pirates have been around for quite some time now.]

That's how rebellions begin, you know. In our case, a group of senators united us after the Emperor disbanded the Senate.

[And destroyed a whole planet.]

Given time, and a lot of work I'm sure you'll manage the same thing. If we can, you certainly can.

Yeah, I just wish I could also inform my fellow crew members of this. It's a real emotional pick-me-up kind of thing to hear, at least, it has been for me. [She definitely has a flame of hope burning much brighter in her now than before.]

They could certainly use it. [Especially after what they had recently gone through.]

Yeah, the whole prison thing certainly is a problem. I guess that'll be figured out in time though. [She hoped it would be sooner than later.]

Unless there's been some sort of progress that I haven't heard about? I haven't been here that long, and I feel like I'm a little behind when it comes to the information on this place.

Well, have you heard about the network in the tunnels?

[She takes a moment to try and recollect anything about them.]

I don't recall? If it was mentioned in the guide then, yeah, I have, but I just need to jog my memory a bit. [The guide did have quite a bit of information for her to process, so she wasn't going to remember everything within it.]

It wouldn't be in the guide, and it's not something to be publicly talked about over the network. The Malnosso don't know about it.

[He just reaches into his journal and pulls open a few entries from lucetilocked]

These may periodically show up, but if you aren't in Luceti when they went up, you don't have them in your journal.

Well that certainly explains it.

[Compare the dates of the entries to when she arrives and there you go.] I didn't arrive here until earlier this month, so this is definitely new information for me.

[With information like this, Karis will happily take her time, that is, if she didn't have the habit of reading so fast. She'll at least have, what she deemed, the more important entries committed to memory.

She promptly hands back Luke's journal the moment she's done reading.] Well, glad I'm caught up to speed now at least. Maybe... [She was certainly going to have fun mulling all of this over.]

[Luke waits fairly patiently, he's in no hurry really.]

Yeah. It's a start at least. If you have the chance, talk to Raine Sage. She's been around a lot longer than I have, and she has more network posts than I do.

I'll be sure to try and see if I can get in contact with her. [Adding that to the long to-do list she has.]

Oh, and, um, thanks for sharing this with me. [Otherwise she probably would of been left in the dark for who knows how long.]

Haha, wish I could give something in return for all of this though. [Information exchange was rather important to her, so she feels somewhat obliged to return the favor, despite that she can't.]
