It wasn't until the day of the sixth that Vegeta finally had been able to get out of bed after a few days of a high fever, and his agenda today included making visits around town, to see a few people he knew. A monumental day for him, or rather, the parasite controlling him.

To everyone else, the week started as normal. But as the days go on, more and more fall to infection. People go missing, for a day at most, but they come back. And they too, are sick, but not for long. Some make their way to go work on something important, but no one knows what. But there is something amiss, and only the residents can save themselves from coming under control of this parasite.

[Fayt settles into his usual fighting stance when Vegeta grabs his blade, nodding an affirmative. There's nothing to indicate to him yet there's anything off, so for him this is just another spar.]

Ready when you are.

[Without a word, Bebi launches forward at Fayt, taking a horizontal swing at the boy's midsection with his sword. His eyes gleam for a moment, excited to fight as the Saiyan part of his body still thrives at the idea of a good battle, though Bebi is managing to keep his power under control, and the bloodlust that comes with being partially Saiyan.]

[As he usually is when fighting Vegeta, Fayt errs on the side of caution. Even with practice weapons and the power cap in full swing, Vegeta was strong, strong enough to do some serious damage even with a practice weapon. Even if he knew the guy held back, he wasn't going to shirk that caution here and now.

It's why he backsteps and veers to the side first and foremost. Not his usual kind of move to start with, but once the blade slices past he's darting forward and lashing out with an attack of his own, aiming for Vegeta's arm. In a real fight it wouldn't really land much of a cut thanks to such a move, but it was a sounder tactic with an opponent like Vegeta.]

[Gritting his teeth, he swings and brings the blade up to block, the clang of metal ringing in his ears as he holds it at bay. Looking up at Fayt, he grins.]

Is that the best you've got? Hah! [As he yells, he pushes Fayt's blade off his own to counter with a swing down at the boy's shoulder blade.]

[Thanks to the opening Vegeta makes, that blow gets him squarely in the shoulder, though Fayt leans back from the impact to lessen the damage. Still, it digs into his shoulder a sizable gash in spite of his efforts, slicing through the cloth of his top and the flesh of his shoulder both.

He doesn't let up, though, instead swinging his blade back around in hopes of slicing at Vegeta before he can get his blade around to block.]

[His eyes flash, happy at the landed blow. That will make life very easy soon. He might not even have to play around at sword fighting much longer now.

Unfortunately, he's let his guard down a little at the sight of spilled blood and an entryway into his body that he doesn't quite parry in time, Fayt's own blade slashing him across his arm.

Which angers the Tuffle, lashing out viciously in retaliation, aiming a blow in hopes of slashing Fayt's chest open in revenge.]

[Fayt barely, just barely manages to evade that attack, the blade barely brushing against his chest as he shifts to the side of it, eyes going a little wide in surprise. That.... was he angry?]

Hey...!

[misterbrief]

[He glares again, but relaxes as soon as he's caught himself. That went a bit too far, but no matter...]

Sorry. Guess I couldn't help myself for a second there. I'll keep it in check a little better.

[And no time is wasted. He attacks again, with a thrust this time to Fayt's other shoulder, prepared to be parried and countered.]

That would be a good idea. [There's a little bit of sarcasm in his voice, but he parries the blow in spite of his annoyance and launches another counterattack. He wasn't expecting Vegeta to waste any time on chatter or apologies.

...Actually, he couldn't remember Vegeta ever actually apologizing to him before, even jokingly.]

[misterbrief]

[He catches Fayt's blade with his own, and uses his strength and weight to try to push him off to the side to catch him off balance.]

Yes, it would. You know what else would be a good idea?

[Aaaand it works pretty well, with Vegeta's considerable strength. Fayt's thrown off balance and slightly to the side, though he tries to drag his sword back in a preemptive attempt to guard from attacks.]

No, what?

[misterbrief]

[It's now that Bebi decides to use all of Vegeta's strength, his power level skyrocketing as he takes his sword and purposely hits Fayt's blade hard enough to try to launch it right out of the boy's hand.]

I think it's time you become one of us.

[etherealblast]

[Fayt doesn't really have a chance against Vegeta's strength, and the Veinslay goes flying right out of his hands, his fingers and wrists aching harshly from the blow even as his sword clangs noisily to the ground quite a distance away.

He stumbles back, gripping one of his wrists with a hiss. What the heck?]

What was that for....?!

[He moves quickly. Quick enough that he grabs Fayt and shoves him against the wall, his hand already over the gash on his shoulder. He smiles wickedly, laughing, an evil laugh, his voice changing to a higher pitch than it was before.

A voice that wasn't Vegeta's.]

[His entire appearance changes, hair morphing into a white with red eyes and red lines on his face, no longer hiding who he was anymore.

Bebi is already letting liquefied DNA flow out of his hand into Fayt's wound, holding him tight against the wall so he couldn't move his arms.]

It was to make sure everything went as planned, fool.

[Fayt has the wind knocked out of him a bit when he's slammed against the wall, though he's grappling at Vegeta's arms a second later to try to push him off. There's something very wrong here, and that laugh is creepy enough to set off mental alarms. He'd thought he was acting a little oddly earlier, but this took the cake.

When Vegeta's appearance suddenly morphs and there's the sick feeling of something seeping into his wound, all bets are off. He struggles with everything he's got, kicking out at any bit of Vegeta --no, whoever this was, it wasn't Vegeta-- that he could reach, clawing at the arms holding him against the wall.]

Who are you....?!

[reborntuffle]

[He barely feels Fayt's struggling beneath his grip, tightening it further.]

Ehehehehehe! I'm your new master, and you can call me Lord Bebi, slave.

[etherealblast]

Bebi....? [But focusing on Bebi's words is getting difficult, considering he's trembling, breaking out in sweat all of a sudden. He didn't feel so good.... What was going on........?]

What is... this...

[...Slave?]

It's finally time for you to become a glorious Tuffle! Don't worry, it won't be long now. Once my cells have spread across your body, you'll feel as good as new.

[He lets go of Fayt now, stepping back.]

[When Bebi steps back, Fayt slumps against the wall, feeling sick and dizzy all of a sudden. His cells were doing what....?]

Ugh.... Truffle?
