Summary: After the bomb is dealt with the city does need to finish the retaking and then start on preparing its defenses before the reinforcements show up on the later end of day four.

[ The Battle to retake Zompania is not quite over once the bomb is dealt with, and the Battle of Zompania is far from over. But in that period before the reinforcements show up, there is somewhat less stress. Or maybe more (what with Davis's last words) - but you do need to worry less about stealth and that means that some people can get to work on cleaning up the city for corpses, forage out equipment, deal with the dead and wounded, and start making defenses, possibly out of the parts of downed airships?! Other things which are able to be done with the immediate fear of the bomb gone but before things get a second wind. This is that log ]

[Shuda watches Rin for a moment before he moves to gently pick up one of the skeletons to ferry it over to the makeshift grave. It's hardly fair of him to do the easy part and let Rin handle all of the hard stuff, after all.]

Rin. 'M Rin. [ And he frowns all the more at this, settling that guy down and getting another. It's awkward to carry them - the only way he can and not drag them is to hold them princess style or by their ribs. Both of which seem really wrong, all things considered ]

[Shuda, meanwhile, seems to have no such compunction about just lifting them up princess-style to carry them over to the makeshift grave. It's the easiest and fastest method, and frankly he isn't interested in spending any more time on this than necessary. He wants to go after the people responsible.]

That's way too many of them! [ And he grinds his teeth together as he carries yet another to the grave. This is... this is so wrong and hideous. These bones. All the markings on them, somehow carved into them. ]

That's war.

[Shuda has seen it before in his own world-- ironically, he stumbled across a similar scene (on a smaller scale) not too long before he ended up in Luceti.

And he doesn't like it one bit.]

So what, that doesn't make it right? What's the whole fight even about, it's stupid!

No one said it was right. It's just the way it is.

Even if it is that way, doesn't mean it oughta be!

[ And it's easier to be mad than to give into the disgust ]

And what will you do about it? Try to put an end to the war all by yourself?

[There's a slightly sharper edge to his tone now. While he recognizes where Rin's anger is coming from, he also knows that it isn't going to be productive, not right now.]

Why would I be doing it by myself?! Aren't all of us here to try an' do that?!

[ He shouts this, his ears getting some blur sparks around them here too. And he makes to get another body to bury ]

Exactly. We're all in this, which is why we need to work together.

[And that's saying something, considering how much of a lone wolf Shuda is.]

Which means that we gotta ... gotta do something about this! All of us! [ THIS CAN'T HAPPEN AGAIN ]

And we will. But right now, someone has to bury these bodies, and I don't see anyone else stopping to help.
