Zompania Draft: Coming Home
Who: Anyone drafted to Zompania, or recruited as reinforcements, or left behind in the village. SO. Everybody!
What: The draftees and reinforcements return to the village.
When: May 26, early early in the morning
Where: Back in Luceti
Summary: Most draftees and reinforcements return to Luceti in the very early hours; now, instead of a medevac site for the draft, the village is a welcome (?) refuge from the nightmare of Zompania for its own. There's a high likelihood it still looks a lot like it has in the past few days; those in the fight didn't even get a chance to shower before returning.
(This is the place for all your post-draft trauma and reunions and every other thing. Have fun! And don't forget to entry-tag your character.)

"If it's too hard to talk about, you don't have to. From the little bit Steve told me it sounded pretty horrible."

She let an eyeroll speak for her eloquently. "And now they've got an amusement park up there too, believe it or not."
It was easier to talk about this than the other. She didn't know quite how to talk of the other.

"Can anyone go? It sounds amazing, amusement park or not." Leave it to Jane to change the topic before the previous topic has even been explored. Her trains of thought tend to resemble bunnies more than locomotives - they bounce all over the place.
oh gosh, I'm sorry - this somehow managed to get lost D8
It's ok!
"That's a shame. You'd think they'd take everyone who fought, as a way of saying thanks. Everyone could really use a bit of fun, don't you think?"
thanks! ^^;
"I think people could more likely use a week's worth of sleep and some therapy. And I'm pretty much 100 percent sure that the Malnosso couldn't care less what we need. The last time we were dragged up there, it was ta celebrate an enclosure becomin' full Malnosso -- show us our glorious future an' all that."

"Well... maybe after some time has passed." Jane thought back on how she'd made it through after her father had died. In a way she'd never dealt with the grief. She'd instead devoted herself to continuing the work he'd started, making it her own, and making it the most important thing in her life.
"I'm sorry if I come off like a jerk. I just... I know there's nothing I can say or do to help and I hate it."

Rogue began to slowly stand. "We all need some sleep. Things'll get better in a week or so."
When our dead are back.

"Hey, you're welcome to come crash at my place. You don't have to be alone while we wait." Staying together could be a good thing for both of them. Who knew, by the time Thor and Loki returned, she and Rogue could be the best of friends.
"Regardless, I hope you don't mind if I check on you later. Survivors have to stick together, right?"
no subject
"Thanks, but I've gotta stick with my team for now. I reckon you haven't met them yet, since I usually stay at--"
She experienced a sudden and strange inability to say Loki's name. Her lower lip quivered with the effort of shutting her mouth so no ridiculous sounds of loss would escape. He'd be back. He'd be back in a week, and everything would be okay.

"They can come too. There's no way to make this easy, but if not having to go home can make it easier..." It was up to Rogue, of course. Only she knew what she was dealing with specifically.
"Why don't we just focus on getting you cleaned up? I'm sure some of my clothes will fit you. Then you can go find your team or whatever else you want to do."
no subject
"That's real kind of you. But it's not safe for you ta get real close to my skin," she said, not caring if it had or hadn't been explained, she usually guarded the exact nature of her mutation carefully, but Rogue was just too tired. "So helpin' me clean up ain't exactly a good idea. I'm just gonna head back to the X-House."
no subject
"Okay. I might stay here a little longer, so if you need anything, just come find me. And don't be surprised if I show up later to check on you." It was the least she could do, for the girl that Thor's brother loved.
