Zompania Draft: Coming Home
Who: Anyone drafted to Zompania, or recruited as reinforcements, or left behind in the village. SO. Everybody!
What: The draftees and reinforcements return to the village.
When: May 26, early early in the morning
Where: Back in Luceti
Summary: Most draftees and reinforcements return to Luceti in the very early hours; now, instead of a medevac site for the draft, the village is a welcome (?) refuge from the nightmare of Zompania for its own. There's a high likelihood it still looks a lot like it has in the past few days; those in the fight didn't even get a chance to shower before returning.
(This is the place for all your post-draft trauma and reunions and every other thing. Have fun! And don't forget to entry-tag your character.)

Nephry tries to make it quick as she does a round of the house; almost everyone else is still sleeping, or maybe recently sleeping, and doesn't need anything at present. It isn't long at all before she returns to Ion with a glass of water and two pills to take.]
Are you hungry? I can't imagine you had much time to eat.

[But the question does require a bit of thinking. When was the last time he was able to eat?]
...I don't think I was able to keep anything down for the last day or so. I'm not hungry right now, but I think I can try eating something... if it's light.

I don't want to force you and have you end up sick to your stomach. It can wait. But I wish I could do more for you. [With Natalia asleep, Jade either asleep also or doing a convincing job of faking it, and Tear- gone, she would have to go outside the house for help. It can happen, but she would rather not leave any of them alone, despite how together they would all be.
Nephry recalls how scared he was before they left, barely four days ago, how they sat together on this same sofa and she tried to assure him it would be all right in some way. And now, it wasn't.]

[He's quiet for a few moments before looking up.]
Actually, do we have any ice? I think it might help me to walk easier if I could keep the swelling on my knees down.

[In truth, he didn't really realize how bad they had gotten until he came back, so they didn't really get healed all that much while he was still on the battlefield. It was probably too late for healing to make much of a difference now, but he could definitely benefit from some ice packs.]

When you do get to your bed, I think you might have to stay there for a few days. [She's very willing to let him stay on the couch, even, but his bedroom is more peaceful.] I'll get some ice.
no subject
[When she returns with ice, he'll have shifted his legs back onto the couch so he wouldn't have to bend them anymore. He'd probably have to stay on the couch for at least a little while longer.]
no subject
You should probably lie back down and try to sleep again.
no subject
I'll... try. Thank you, Nephry.

[All this, and she still expects him to wind up sick. Nephry pulls the blanket up over Ion and his icy knees. There is little more she can do for him until he rests.]
no subject
[But for now, he just closes his eyes and tries to will himself to fall asleep, knowing it would do his body and mind some real good to try and rest. Even just dozing off for an hour would do wonders, no doubt.]
[And should Nephry come back on check on him in a little while, she'll find that he finally seems to have fallen asleep. For now. And with Colonel watching over from the end of the couch.]
