Zompania Draft: Coming Home

Who: Anyone drafted to Zompania, or recruited as reinforcements, or left behind in the village. SO. Everybody!
What: The draftees and reinforcements return to the village.
When: May 26, early early in the morning
Where: Back in Luceti
Summary: Most draftees and reinforcements return to Luceti in the very early hours; now, instead of a medevac site for the draft, the village is a welcome (?) refuge from the nightmare of Zompania for its own. There's a high likelihood it still looks a lot like it has in the past few days; those in the fight didn't even get a chance to shower before returning.

They both know that this is something that won't go away.

_{[ He huffed and ate his breakfast, convincing himself that yes, this was perfectly true, there was nothing wrong of it, and Spock could go eat his rabbit food as he continued to deny the problem. It had worked before. ]}

It's just some aftermath stuff. The further we get away from all this, the better.

"Jim, I do not understand why you insist on being stubborn. If there was someone in Luceti who had proper accreditation to listen to you, then I would suggest you seek out their assistance. But Jim... consider how troubling it is to realize that you will not willingly talk to me. Your mate."

Spock's face didn't change much, but just enough to look sad.

"It's not that I'm not talking to you, Spock, I just don't think that talking about it is necessary. They're just nightmares, and they'll go away," he shrugged. "Every little thing doesn't devestate me, Spock. I'm okay, really."

He reached out and after a brief hesitation took his hand and squeezed.

"Really, I'm fine."

Spock looks down at their hands then back up at Jim.

"I will do as you ask just this once. However, if these nightmares impede your sleep for more than a week, then will you speak?"

He sighed, perhaps a bit irritated, but relationships were about compromise, right? It was one of the reasons he didn't like them, he was bad at compromise. But... If they did last more than a week, even he had to admit something might be off. Especially if they were all... Like that.

"All right," he agreed, giving another squeeze and turning back to his meal while the bacon was still hot.

The Vulcan actually relaxes back on the bed as he pulls out his PADD to do some work.
