Summary: Harry arrives. He has mood swings. Everyone has a grand time.

[Harry had followed B'Elanna without much complaint or hesitance; after an Akritirian prison, Luceti seemed positively heavenly and, hey, he trusted B'Elanna to watch his back. She'd done it often enough before.

So when she said they were going to get back to the house where he could get some food and a shower? He wasn't going to compain at all.

She led him to the door and he paused at the stoop, idly scratched at the back of his head.]

[Spock was sitting on the couch, reading a book when the door opened.]

Greetings Miss Torres...
[The Vulcan tilts his head at the newcomer.] And who are you?

[Oh good, she was hoping Spock was home.]

Spock, this is Harry Kim, one of my friends and shipmates.

[And obviously a new feather.]

Harry... [And she gestures back to the Vulcan.] This is Spock.

[Spock. Now that's someone Harry never thought he'd meet. His hand drifts from the back of his head to give a bit of a wave; he's little self-conscious, to be honest. New Feather pants, no shirt to hide bruises along his ribs, dirty and mussed all around.

And trembling. Can't forget that.]

Hello.

[Great. Introductions.]

[The Vulcan stands, hands clasped behind his back as he takes in the new arrival.]

It is well to make your acquaintance Mister Kim. [The Vulcan quirks an eyebrow...] Are you in need of medical attention?

He's in need of a shower and a good meal.

[And B'Elanna then points down the hallway.]

The bathroom is that way Harry, you can't miss it. I'll find something for you to wear too.

[Thanks for the direction, B'Elanna, but Harry's too busy linefacing at Spock to do anything like follow that direction.]

No. [And he sounds frustrated, annoyed.] No medical attention.

[Spock stares back, arching an eyebrow as he takes in the two other beings. Harry seems upset about something, but that's not surprising, considering that he's in Luceti.]

Very well. Are you and Miss Torres acquainted? Perhaps you are also a member of starfleet?

[Well... she had been hoping to direct Harry's attention elsewhere so that he wouldn't get agitated further but... She folded her arms and looked between them carefully.]

[So, so dry:] The uniform didn't give it away?

The white pants mark you as a new feather, but your sarcasm implies that you are indeed a member of starfleet.

[Spock looks at B'Elanna.] He is emotionally distressed. You are more suited to assist him than I.

... Right.

[That's what she had planned anyway. She wasn't about to leave him with Spock with the current state Harry was in. No offense Spock.]

Emotionally distressed? [His voice rises in disbelief as he repeats the phrase.] Why would I be emotionally distressed?

[Sarcasm: it's not just for emotionally stable people. Someone stop him before he takes a swing at Spock for no good reason.]

There's absolutely nothing to be distressed over.

[Spock nods, seeming pleased.]

It is as you say. You are in 'capable hands' as the saying goes. I hope you adjust quickly to Luceti life.

[The Vulcan doesn't quite get sarcasm yet.]

[Harry will probably never be able to figure out exactly what sets him off. There's something in all that that just seems condescending somehow. It rubs him wrong or something but all he knows is that the rage is suddenly there and he's crossing the room.

And then he's throwing a punch right at that smug Vulcan's stupid condescending mouth.]

[The Vulcan barely flinches as he catches Harry's fist, his face turning into one of disapproval as he holds onto that fist to make sure it doesn't happen again.]

I seem to have upset you, for that you have my apologies. However, reacting violently is not a solution...
I would have expected more from a Starfleet officer.

[B'Elanna's jaw drops as she sees Harry take a swing at Spock. That... Was definitely not like him. She than places her hands on his shoulders.]

Harry please calm down. He didn't mean anything by that. If you go get cleaned up I'm sure you will feel a lot better.

[Its a little weird that she has to be the sensible one this time.]

[Harry's breathing hard, trying to fight against the rage that's flooding his mind -- and that's just making it worse. Fighting fire with fire, as it were, wasn't helping much. He tries to shrug B'Elanna's hands off his shoulders, tries to pull his hand free from Spock's grip.]

Just... [Pause. Breathe.] Let me go.

[Spock can feel for a split second the undercurrent of rage and his eyebrows draw together in thought.]

I do not yet feel as though that is wise. Mister Kim, what is wrong? [There was more going on here than just entering Luceti.]

[From behind Harry, B'Elanna makes a cutting motion across her throat. Trying to get Spock to shut up about it. She'll explain later Spock, just... leave it alone.

She also lets go of Harry's shoulders, but watches him carefully.]

_{[ Kirk had been trying to do the man a favor and had gone to the shop to pick up some extra clothes and extra bed sheets and other essentials. It was hard enough being new here, he had figured he wouldn't mind a few of these things already ready and waiting.

And then he walks in on this particular scene. And in usual Kirk fashion, he has to be a smart-ass about it first. ]}

Seriously, can I leave no one alone int his house without a fight starting?

[He glances at Kirk.] Shut it.

[His gaze returns to Spock.] Nothing is wrong. Let go. [He's trying. He's trying so very hard to keep his voice level, but he's shaking with (stupid) rage and it's starting to drive him up a wall.]

[Spock lifts an eyebrow, then slowly lets go of Harry's hand, replacing it behind his back. He looks pointedly at B'Elanna, telling her with a look to get him out of here.

The Vulcan turns to his Captain.]

No fight, Captain, merely a misunderstanding. I am going to make tea, anyone is welcome to join me. [With that, Spock walks into the kitchen.]

[B'Elanna understands that look, and wonders also if it wouldn't be a better idea to have her and Harry live somewhere else. At least until all of this is sorted out. It would probably prevent future problems at least. But for now... there were other more important things.

Like Kirk.]

Don't worry about it.

[She says this to the Captain with a certain edge to her voice.]

_{[ He looks at her and suddenly those baby blues are hard. They are the eyes of a Captain, of a man who knows something is wrong, and he just can't let it go. When the crew did not work together properly, bad things happened. This wasn't working together properly. ]}

When you say things like that, I'm going to worry about it.

Out with it, B'Elenna. What the hell is going on?

_{[ He looked at her hard, and then made a very deliberate glance at Spock. If he knew anything, he would tell him later. Better to sort it now. ]}

[If Spock were more human, he would be facepalming himself in the background.
Jim, you can't keep your mouth shut, can you? Either way, the Vulcan will be in the kitchen.]

[Really Kirk do you have to be like this in front of Harry? B'Elanna returns his hard look in full and crosses her arms.]

We can talk about it later, okay?

[She's trying to be patient but she is starting to get agitated too.]

[Harry's hand is shaking when he forces himself to put it back down at his side. It's nothing like back in the prison but all he's hearing is raised voices all over again and if he doesn't defend himself, he'll be too useless to help anyone. He eyes Kirk.]

It's not your business and it's not your concern, so why don't you go join your friend in the kitchen and forget it.

_{[ Baby blues turn on Harry, his face still set and determined. ]}

You know what, Harry, it is my business. I don't care that we just met; you're from the same universe as me, you're part of Star Fleet. In my book, that makes you crew, that makes you family so long as we are all here together.

_{[ It was a promise he had made to himself he came here with Spock and Bones. Those from his world, those from Star Fleet, they were to be protected, they were to help each other, never to feel abandoned or alone. They weren't his crew from the Enterprise, but they were part of the larger family he had found himself a part of, and you didn't leave family behind. A good Captain didn't do that. ]}

So no, I am not forgetting it and it is my business and it is my concern just like getting you some damn pants was my concern.

_{[ He glares, his speech over for the moment, though he had never yelled. ]}

[Okay, she's about had it. Stepping up to Kirk, B'Elanna gets in his face with quite the PO'ed expression.]

Look, Kirk, I get that you're some self important high and mighty captain from our past, but that does NOT make you OUR captain. This is NOT the Enterprise, and I am NOT a part of Starfleet, and I'm definitely NOT part of your crew.

Harry is part of mine, and he's MY business, not yours! So unless you want me to knock you into the next enclosure I suggest you back off! I'll fill you in when I'm damn ready because I'm not taking orders from you this time.

[With that she turns on her heel and heads for the door.]

Come on, Harry. Let's get out of here.

[Spock sends an apologetic look towards B'Elanna, then gently tugs on Jim's arm.]

It would be wise to allow Mister Kim to adjust to the situation on his own terms. [Spock looks at Harry.]

You have my apologies for not being emotionally aware.

Emotionally-- [Harry cuts himself off, visibly and obviously trying very hard to regain control.

And then he loses it and rounds on B'Elanna.] It's my business. Not yours. Not his [he points to Kirk] or his [pointing to Spock] but mine.

I want a shower and I want food and I want some damned sleep for once and if that can't happen sometime in the next few minutes, I'll go make it happen and I will find you later.

[It's a good thing B'Elanna has a thick skin. She just turns back to Harry and raises her hands.]

Fine. Do whatever you want. I for one can't stand to be around Captain Pushy another minute.

[She'd already pointed him towards the bathroom. Harry's a big boy and can handle himself, like he said. Thus she marches out the door.]

_{[ Kirk watches her go and then looks at Harry. He has serious doubts right now, and he half wants to throw him out. Something was up and he wasn't comfortable having someone with something wrong with them prancing around his home without him knowing the danger, them all knowing the danger.

But... that would be cruel, wouldn't it?

He glanced at the bathroom door and back at Harry, shoving the pants and shirt he had brought him. ]}

Do what you have to do, but you need to give us an explanation if you want to sleep here tonight. No offense, but if it's something that could hurt other people, we should know.

Bathroom's that way, you can use what's in there to clean yourself up.

[The Vulcan stayed silent. He had nothing more to add, and nothing to say that would help. Though he did keep an eye on Jim, wishing for once that his brash Captain wasn't always so brash. Oh well, part of the charm.]
