Mission: Burying the Past in Zompania
Who: Anyone who volunteered
What: A very special mission that will bring you honor. Or maybe just traumatic memories. Whatever.
When: July 20th - July 24th
Where: Zompania, or what's left of it
Summary: Mission detailed here. There are graves to dig and buildings to raze, and plenty more for the volunteers to stay busy with.
Rating: PG-13 for probable mentions of gore and other sad things
Direct further questions here!

He might not know how strong her pokémon technically were, but really, he didn't imagine them to be fragile. ]
But, I just think... [ and there's a moment, where he looks down to his hands. sorry, he's going there- ] If I was a pokémon with my trainer, and she was out here taking this place down -- I would want to be helping her. Being in a pokéball's not the same as standing with her, you know?
[ He clasps his hands together, then lets them go. Actually- ] Sorry if I'm being annoying about this. Or- I know I am, but...
I just think it's important.

It's nothing I haven't been lectured on before. [She counts the branches on the largest one - there's twenty-two in all, fat ones, and innumerable ones from those.] I don't know how much the environment's gonna affect them, or if it even will - because maybe it won't, since they don't have wings like us - and that's another reason I've been keeping them in, too. Pikachu seems fine though [she glances as back as she can, then back to the rubble in front of her] so I guess I shouldn't worry as much as I am.

Venusaur and Snorlax have been okay too. [ Just some reassurance! But he won't add any more because, well, he's sure that what he's already said made a point. Not that he isn't still thinking about it in his head, though.
A flick of his wrist, and a new light forms where Red's bent down, Pikachu joining up behind him so not to be left aloe. The other lights still sit - or hover - where they were placed, except for the one or two crushed when the building had come down. They don't shine from any small cracks, but have gone completely. ]

She doesn't like throwing age in the mix - because she was as old as him and doing twice as much as he is, not to mention her friends - but she feels so old when she hears him talk.]
I'm getting kind of tired. [Which isn't a lie, not totally. She could stand to knock down a few more buildings (streets, if she pushes herself hard enough) but she knows she can't just wander the city the way she did today tomorrow. She has to help with... with...
she turns and watches the new light. He's still nice enough to help out, despite their discussion. Civil argument. Whichever.] And we should head back, anyway. There's a lot more work to do tomorrow as-is.
[...she kicks her heel against the ground, imagining the ground rumble behind her and split a cluster of buildings apart. They do move and fall in, but they're not completely demolished the way she's been working the others into being. A harder kick finishes them, splits the ground wider, and Crystal smiles -- even if he can't see it through her suit's window.]
We're pretty much done here anyway, right? Sorry for making you come out so far.

But despite it, he doesn't mind setting the lights still, and he turns his head when she speaks up. Ah, she wanted to head back. He has to wait until the sound of the stone collapsing in on itself settles before he can talk. ]
You didn't make me. I wanted to.
[ He picks himself up and Pikachu, and takes the newer light he had set into his free hand. ]
I'm going to stay out longer - just for a while. There's something I want to do alone.

Make sure you get back in time for a few hours of sleep. [Even if she feels like she's going to end up wandering off for just a little while longer, too.] They'll probably wake us up pretty early again. And growing young boys need all the sleep they can get so they can stay healthy.
[God, she feels old saying that.]
...Thanks a lot, by the way. I really do appreciate you coming along.

He approaches Crystal, ball cupped in his hands and then held open when he's standing some steps in front of her. ]
You can take this. It won't burn to carry. [ Because lights usually do to hold. ] I'll keep it going for a while, so just throw it away when you don't need it anymore.
