Mission: Burying the Past in Zompania
Who: Anyone who volunteered
What: A very special mission that will bring you honor. Or maybe just traumatic memories. Whatever.
When: July 20th - July 24th
Where: Zompania, or what's left of it
Summary: Mission detailed here. There are graves to dig and buildings to raze, and plenty more for the volunteers to stay busy with.
Rating: PG-13 for probable mentions of gore and other sad things
Direct further questions here!

[It's none of his business, how she feels about it. He doesn't turn to go - he'd come here to pay his respects, after all. He doesn't really believe in any god, and he only ever prays in the pounding heart of battle, where heat and pressure can transform even the staunchest atheist, but that doesn't mean he can't spare a few thoughts to the dead.]

He thinks about the people who were slaughtered in this town, even if it wasn't really their home, and he thinks about the people of his hometown. How they were chased out, how some never made it. How some would probably never came back, would find somewhere else to dub home, and he can't blame them. He thinks about his classmates, those who lit up the night sky and fell down as ashes, and those who walked away when the pyres died down, who lived to throws themselves bodily into the waiting jaws of death, and him beside them. He thinks about the word unflinchingly, and why he's never heard just flinchingly before.]

Not to mention all of the uncomfortable memories.
Finally she let out a near silent sigh--really, it was more of a soft exhale of air than anything else--and let her arms fall to her sides in one lethargic motion. She turned to leave, but she was looking away, trying to obscure her face. While she didn't think he would care one way or the other what her face looked like right then, it was such a natural response that she hadn't even realized she had done it at first.]
