just pokemon trainer stuff
Who: Red (
pokeboy) & Giovanni (
hotboss) & then some others later
What: Just having a picnic, trainer style
When: 18th September, 2014 (Thursday)
Where: Me on the mountain
Summary: Challenging rock... challenging DEATH. Or just trainer survival skills.
Rating: Violence, injury. Being dumb.
[ The day starts with an end to Red's streak of good luck at getting an early room at the Battle Dome, a following five minute wait showing him no differently. It's a short amount of time to wait, sure, but Red isn't in the mood to sit around and watch people leave and then re-enter after turning back on their scenario. It would be good anyway, he realises, for him and his pokémon to have a day outside where the whole of their bodies wouldn't be pressed down by an unseen force for hours by gravity training. (Thanks, Vegeta)
So following that, Red gets the bright idea to take the entire day off from the Battle Dome and his usual appointed training - magic and staff, leaving messages for the relevant people for whenever they would be free to read it - and spend it all with his pokémon up in the mountains instead. He'd take his staff and they would stop in places to do some training before moving on, go along different routes from the usual; have some fun but still spend the time being productive with their learning. They had plenty of moves they wanted to try and pull off too.
And then it rains. How about that. Softly at first, and really, those clouds in the sky should've given it all away earlier! Snorlax huffs as it twitches his nose, but Pikachu has an energetic air about him, like this is gonna turn out to be a better day soon. They could've turned back, but Red decides that they should continue on: no point letting a little water ruin their day!
By then it's halfway into the day, and the four of them have gotten far up. Spikes of rock lift up on the level they reach, still plenty of open spaces around the edge of the cliff, but inward leading into narrow paths that need to be tread before one can get higher up. The way mountains can form and shape is so interesting to see, but there's plenty more to be see up ahead.
Whatever misfortunes have been scattered throughout the day, Red hasn't seen them for that. What does make Red curious in that day though is when he gets to the land less... unnatural, and how to command Snorlax to smash through rubble already broken to get through a path, and how that led onto an area that looked... trashed. Wrecked.
Huh. Was someone through here recently?
Maybe he'll just call back Snorlax here and follow the odd trail to wherever it ends, and see if their makers are still around, if this wasn't old or something. Quietly dooooes it...! ]

[That's the more solid question, to him- nothing about the fact that they battled is surprising, but having their entire team out and about like this? The only one missing is Nidoking...]

[That is kinda suspicious. Like he's heard of double battles and all, but... everyone at once? That's kind of strange.]
Maybe they weren't even battlin'?

He freezes as noise trickles in from above, then jerks as rocks and dust come falling down nearby. Nidoking strains his head up, peering through small trails of light glaring down - someone's up there! So help him if it hurts some pride having to be rescued by some lesser creature; all that matters is that Giovanni gets out of here first.
With the little strength he has, Nidoking lets out a guttural cry, hoping it penetrates through the rocky cavern to whoever's up top.]

[It definitely wasn't a sound that he would miss. Saur quickly shoots vines down the hole at his trainer's request, trying to find and assist who, and what, was down there.]

[ Snivy goes over next to Saur to help him try and dig out who and what was down there, also ready to pull anything out once something is grabbed. ]
