The setup for the party is pretty simple. Several coolers filled with ice for drinks (soda, bottled water, juice, assorted alcohol and mixers) with cups nearby, a food table with some cookies and cake from the bakery, two sandwich platters, some salads, fresh fruit, and a veggie platter. There's a grill going for roast vegetables, hamburgers, hot dogs, steaks, and fresh seafood, often run by Ginia but anyone else who wants to watch the grill or grill their own food is welcome to do so. People are also more than welcome to bring their own food and drinks. There's driftwood set up in a small firepit for once the sun goes down.

There are a few folding chairs and blankets spread out for anyone who wants to sit down as well as a card table or two.

Relax, meet new people, enjoy the food, and watch out for ghosts or shifts that might ruin your food.

((ooc: Handwaving the IC announcement of the party. Characters can still drop by even without checking in on the post (though that would be great for stats purposes). Feel free to say your character was there for set up and later take down, it's mostly handwaved unless people want to play things out.))

[Between the nightmares getting worse, the appearance of old allies as ghosts, and Evan leaving Luceti (but his ghost still lingering around), Ginia really isn't in the mood for a party. But a party was promised and setting up and meeting people is a good distraction as ever. Ginia throws herself into preparations, making countless trips between the beach and village square throughout the day with her dog accompanying her. When everything is finally set up, Ginia uses the beach house to change into a dress, sandals, and a few silver bracelets on her left wrist.

Once the party itself is going, Ginia can be found hovering around the grill and keeping an eye on the food table for anything that might suddenly spoil. For once, she's not watching the drinks, though she'll happily mix drinks for anyone who asks. She keeps up the appearance of a happy host, greeting people and making sure everyone is getting enough food and drink. The sight of any ghosts, people she knew especially, make her twitchy, especially when she sees Kakashi stroll by with a blanket under one arm and a bag with food.

But hey, the show must go on and Ginia does her best to keep herself together.]

[After the date auction this is Steve's second attempt to put himself out there. It's even a relief that it's an adult only party because he's had enough awkward conversations with teenage girls to last him for awhile. He also has to admit, if only to himself, that it feels good to be out of the apartment.

He comes early, dressed comfortably in a pair of swim trunks and a t-shirt. He has his sketchbook and pencils with him. The beach is one of his favorite places to sketch, and as long as no one minds, he's hoping to get some inspiration from the party. He tries to mingle with people as they come, introducing himself to some of the new faces he sees. When he's not eating himself he'll take over grilling duty from Ginia or whomever else is stationed at the grill.

Later on he can be found stretch out on a blanket with his sketchbook, trying to get down as much as he can before the sun begins to set, taking his light with it.]

[The vague details from a false college life (fine arts major, heavily involved in theatre) hang in her mind as Ginia pops over to check on him as he's sketching. She takes a seat next to him, looking over as her dog races along the shore with a stick of driftwood in her mouth. Silly girl.]

/What are you drawing?/

[While he might be one of, if not the, youngest people there, Lance was all over this party. Almost everyone from Lance's world, or an alternate version of it, is a child still. He hasn't had the opportunity to really get to know many of the other adults here in Luceti either.

Plus, after seeing a ghost of a dragon friend from his previous stay, he was more than happy for something a little more uplifting.

So the party is plus one caped red head. He also happened to bring some food along. A couple pecha berry pies. He's gotten pretty creative with all the berries he's managed to grow on the farm.

Lance will just be mingling with whoever wants to take the time to talk with him. Eventually, he'll also be sitting on the sand with Dragonite, watching the ocean.]

[While certainly not the largest Pokemon in the village, Dragonite still makes for an impressive sight. Adorable as well. Ginia's dog, Laika, pads over with tongue lolling and tail wagging back and forth. She barks and sniffs curiously at Dragonite as Ginia comes over. She smiles at the two, quickly typing up a message on her cellphone then letting the phone read it out loud when she finishes.]

I'm sorry to intrude, but can I ask about your friend? I've never seen anything like him before.

[There are too many ghosts about, especially in his own home. Bepo and Perona - his nakama, haunt his halls and Law simply needs an escape for awhile. Fishing needs to happen before the party anyway as he's been asked to provide fresh seafood for the occasion. He baits crude and makeshift wire traps and ties them with long lines to a brightly painted barrel and throws the whole mess overboard as he heads out with his nets on the Shinonome to try and catch something.

It's quite likely he's dragged others along onto this little adventure. Itachi certainly, though his husband isn't exactly sold on the party part at least and is doing all of this just to give the pirate some distraction from the last few months.

In the end, Law and company(?) come back with a variety of fish, including mackerel, a few crab and lobster and one irritable octopus, and some clams from the tidal flats at low tide (the Ope Ope no Mi is very convenient for quick and easy clamming). After cleaning and preparing things for cooking, Law slips away - probably with Itachi again - to get cleaned up and somewhat presentable.

So catch either at the party proper (or earlier for some high seas adventure), where both are mingling and not exactly the life of the party, but at least sociable enough.]

[And here's Loki. He likes a party, and he refuses to be left out of anything, invited or not. Ginia hasn't annoyed him yet, so he's even nice enough to bring a couple of bottles of mead, as well as a few bottles of wine he's similarly fortified. Those get left with the regular drinks, so good luck avoiding those.

He eventually picks at some grilled vegetables, and spends a bit of time just sitting on the beach and listening to the surf. It's been a while since he was at the beach, and it was a very different sort of party with rather different people. (And he can admit to himself that he misses Rogue and wishes she would come home soon. At least she ought to be calling soon.)

But for the most part, he's wandering around as best he can, blind on a beach, and either talking pleasantly or just poking at people to see if they squeak because he's in a brittle mood.]

[At some point before sundown, Loki manages to locate Steve by, of all things, the sound of his pencils scratching on paper. Well, and Steve has a very distinctive smell to him.

Completely uninvited, he claims an empty (he confirms it as such thanks to the cheating abilities of magic) bit of the blanket for himself and proceeds to lounge.]

[ Never one to miss a gathering and wanting a little extra time to sink back into his own skin and memories, Zevran whips up a few platters of simple, fried fare to take along with him to the party along with several bottles of wine and brandy. What wasn't reserved for the most dire of occasions, at least. That bottle had gone to Kirk along with the bourbon. Hair tied back against the wind, wearing something deemed 'Fabioesque' by his boys and therefore appropriate for this outing, sleeves rolled back to display new tattoo around one forearm in white ink, a matching one on Eugene's in black.

He spends some time setting out what he brought and doing knife tricks by the fruit, cutting rosettes and flowers from apples, melons, and strawberries with a faintly embittered twist to his lips. He'd last done this for Katniss and Prim. Seeing them the other day had been-

He'd been startled. Chased after them. And found nothing. Ghosts.

It doesn't last long, that wryness, soon he shakes himself of it and wanders to speak with the rest that have come to spend the evening in such lovely company on such a lovely beach. He'll do more knife tricks and tell a tale or two if prompted. ]

[The party was an interesting collection of people. Many seemed on edge, probably due to the time shifts increasing. Xellos had experienced some of the weirdness, it was strange to see Lina around, but as she wasn't interfering or being her usual destructive self, quite easy to ignore. More importantly, these strange individuals seemed to have stirred up rather unpleasant feelings for a variety of individuals, a veritable feast.

There were of course a few people of interest around. One of course being the trickster himself, the amusing Loki]

Mr. Loki, you look well as always.

[Take that however you'd like]

[He gives Ginia a wave as he approaches the grill]

Yo! What's going on?!

[He is wearing his usual attire, full costume and all. He kind of misses being able to wear normal clothing without the mask, but such is life]

[Lance has never met Ginia properly before, and is a little surprised by the phone doing the talking for her. Though he smiles politely, which only broadens further at the interest in his friend.]

Of course. What would you like to know?

[Levi settles himself by the fire on a blanket after eyeing the sand somewhat contemptuously. The beach would be fine if sand didn't have the irritating habit of getting everywhere, even places it shouldn't have even had the chance to enter.

The blanket appears clean enough, though he is careful to keep his shoes off it nonetheless. He's sipping water, holding his cup with his fingertips by the rim. The food hadn't been bad, if a little different than what he's used to. But such were the way of things in Luceti.

Every now and then he casts his gaze about, taking notes of who had come, who Erwin is speaking with, and - though less obviously - if Luceti is still playing tricks and making him see ghosts.]

[At some point, Levi is coming over to what can only be described as "curiously hover" at the grill. It isn't necessarily that the food is entirely foreign to him, but there are still some things about Luceti that are hard to accept - like the abundance of food items that were considered incredibly rare or valuable in his own world.

Also Laika has a way of drawing his attention, as does Ginia's difference in appearance.]

You look different today.

[Levi catches a glimpse of Steve's drawings as he meanders by, and he stops behind him, studying it a moment in the dimming light.]

...not bad.

[Having come from the slums and then joining the corps, meals and food had always been done with little to no flair in Levi's lifetime. That food could also be art had never really entered his mind.

So he can't help but be more than a little intrigued when he catches sight of Zevran's work, stopping and folding his arms over his chest.]

How long did that take you to learn?

[Going to take that one as a compliment, because he knows he is hot stuff.]

Of course.

You don't look like much of anything. [Goes with being blind.] But you sound cheerful enough. Caused any trouble lately?

[ Erwin has purposefully refrained from making any journal posts since his re-arrival, preferring to quietly heal up and get his bearings before launching himself back into the midst of Luceti village socialization. This get-together is his first real appearance. He'll be easily recognizable to those who knew him before. There are only a few differences: he wears a longcoat rather than the usual short jacket of the Survey Corps uniform, and the right sleeve hangs empty by his side after the still rather recent loss of his arm. Thankfully, his face has healed almost entirely from a few other injuries inflicted just before finding himself in Luceti again.

Never having been to the ocean before, even in Luceti, he spends much of the evening simply admiring the water. He stands frequnetly at its edge, and at one point even removes his coat and boots and rolls his pant legs up around his knees to wade in, enthralled with the crashing waves and the taste and scent of salt in the air. It's unlike Erwin to act so childlike, but the ocean is, in many ways, a waking dream for him. He'd read about it as a child in books he was not meant to possess and yearned to see one day, but never truly imagined he would live to do so. This isn't the ocean of his world, of course, but it seems to fit the description, and he imagines that they must be very alike.

He does eat over the course of the party, trying anything he hasn't had a chance to before, and he'll gladly engage in conversation, but he's somewhat distracted; like many others, he's still seeing ghosts, made even worse by the fact that quite a few of them are dead in his world in addition to having left Luceti. ]

[Ginia smiles and nods at Levi as he comes over, waving with a spatula in one hand before flipping over a few burgers and closing the lid. Yes, grilling in a dress is impractical, but that's why she's wearing an apron. Laika quickly trots over to Levi's side, nudging his hand for attention.]

/Sometimes I like to look nicer than usual./

[Sup Deadpool. Ginia waves at him, putting an apron back on.]

/About to throw more food on the grill. Want anything?/

Understandable. So your magics aren't able to cure your blindness?

[They had experience with that on his world]

Oh, I've kept busy.

[Not a yes or a no]

[Amazing how you can live in a village and still not know the people around. Ginia remembers him from having seen him on the network before and more recently (though more hazily) as one of the professors in the now defunct Luceti University.]

What's his name? And he's a Pokemon, right?

[Always the best starting place.]

[He puts up three fingers to extenuate the point]

Yeah, three burgers, por favor. Oh, and some chicken as well.

[Got to load up on some protein]

[Thee burgers and chicken for the red man. Ginia puts them on the grill, carefully spacing them out before closing the lid.]

Medium rare works for me.

[He puts a hand on the table beside her]

So, how you liking all the ghosties moving around? For awhile I thought it was just me seeing things or something, but apparently it's a thing.

[It was kind of reminding him of times when it had all gotten to be a bit much for him]
