And what's a proper dating sim protagonist without her own theme?! It seems to play quietly from her journal as Stella stands at the edge of the plaza, a gentle smile on her face while she gazes at the new decorations and the bustling life from within. Of course, WoTF are ready, recording her and even setting up a bit of light wind to billow her hair just right as she contemplates. Outloud.]
My name is Stella Telmes. I came to this village relatively recently, looking for a brand new life. I've made such amazing friends so far... [She gives a big smile.] And I'm sure it'll only get better!
[Oh, but now she looks a bit unsure, as she looks down at the ground while pursing her lips.]
There's a celebration in the village... Oh, I hope I can fit in!
[Later, Stella walks around the plaza, taking in the sights and lingering at the games. If only one of her big, strong friends could win something for her... surely, she's not enough to do it...!
She'll be looking for her friends too, and even random other people, hoping to build a relationship with them, or just have a special moment. This is a special celebration, and Stella intends to find a wonderful friendship by the end of it. Or maybe even... something more...]

It's just as shes passing by Stella and her camera crew that the breeze they're created hits her small stack of papers, sending them flying into the air. Not too far, thankfully, but they're definitely all out of order and in complete disarray.]
Aaah--no, no, no!

enter the redhead tsundere i guess
Asch glowers at the mess of colours, decorations, and fluff from his doorway, rather tempted to turn back and lock the door behind him. He can survive on crackers and tea until this all blows over, surely. But let it never be said that he's a coward, so after a moment or so of quiet and miserable consideration, he forces himself out the door. There's little sense in hiding like he's scared, ugh. But he's determined to try and get in and out without allowing himself to be too distracted by whatever shenanigans are going on. He's fairly certain he wants none of it.]
that trope fits him to a T

[Firo is a loudmouth, but he's still a private person underneath it all. As such, he doesn't appreciate at all the camera crew that keeps following him around. And it doesn't take too long before his patience with them is completely out.]
Are you kiddin' me? I told you before--!
[He looks like he's about to take a swing at one of the people filming, or perhaps he already has thrown a punch by the time you walk by. Join him/stop him?]
B. Plaza
[He eventually makes his way over to the plaza and will be there for a while, checking out the booths and probably scowling at some of the cheesier decorations. If he sees someone nearby, he'll approach.]
Don't you think this all is way over the top?
[ooc: I'm up for anything with him, so if you want to try another scenario or set something up, go for it!]
B
Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous, isn't it? It's like Christmas, but it's Valentine's Day instead. ...actually, I don't even think Christmas was ever this bad.
[She doesn't think previous love events had ever been this lavish in the village before.]

It's a shame he doesn't eat, otherwise he could have been eating a bag of popcorn while watching all of this--sorry Firo, but your discomfort is entertaining. (Though, that's probably because the documentary crew haven't turned their attention towards us yet...)]

Perona wakes, goes about her morning routine just as any other Lucetian does, and is just about to head to the Library to return and pick out some new books when the decor of the city gives way to a long, long, long pause and a slow look around.
...Fuck that noise, she's going back to bed.
Unfortunately, Perona can't avoid the craziness forever (DESPITE HER BEST EFFORTS), and sheer boredom finally drives her out of the house at last. She'll be hitting up her usual haunts like the bakery, clothing and item shop, fountain, and the library all the while avoiding large crowds of people and anything looking overly suspicious - she sure as hell remembers the previous years this shit happened - and will only greet people in passing, no matter how close she may be to them. There's no way she will chance anything happening this time around, to hell with this bullshit, she's been done with romance for the past month or two.
So yes, approach the grumpy looking beauty at your own risk, eligible bachelors and bachelorettes...
B.) Plaza | Locked to Ginko
This place really doesn't know when to give up, does it? By now Perona is less irate by the annoying relationship bullshit as she is just plain angry at it all. She's fed up, and her patience has snapped a good day or so ago. Which could be why the booths, games (toys especially, even the cute/i> ones), foods and flowers get scoff, sneers, and rude remarks under her breath. Wasn't this bullcrap supposed to have been eradicated since the Malnosso no longer existed? So much for that futile hope...tch. Some things just don't change.
This time, she'll humor the poor vendor behind the flower booth, picking up one of the white carnations and giving it a sour look as she spins the stem between her thumb and forefinger. It's a saving grace to the poor vendor that they move to resupply their stock, before Perona sticks out her tongue at the flower as if it just offended her personally, then chucks it as hard and as far as she can to the side as she hurries away.]
Like hell you're conning me into doing something so stupid...peh! Getting up today was a mistake.

Ginko's face. It's Ginko. Hellbent on topping off his resources and getting away from the central village, for a while.]
--Eh.

Sophie doesn't have a wide range of places, but you can run into her at the school or the playground, in front of House 34, or in Azalea under the not-so-watchful eye of Grune. Anybody willing to try cheering her up?]
no subject
It's not really as if this Sophie fully understands Valentine's Day to begin with, but the fact that everyone is acting strangely just confuses her even more. It doesn't seem like she'll get a decent explanation out of anyone, though, and thus the tiny humanoid is left to her own devices, which... well, there seems to be a party going on, at least.
So she opts for going for a walk, avoiding the camera crews (that she equally has no clue what they're there for), and looking for anyone that might be able to tell her what's going on. It's while doing this that she comes across a sort-of-familiar face, someone she thinks she's spoken to before... maybe.
Well, either way, maybe she can find someone who isn't affected.]

A: Anywhere [A permanent snarl seemed stuck to her lips, along with the increasing number of camera crew and like that followed her steps, the number becoming more so over the week. It was hardly surprising, with the number of them she had beaten to a bloody pulp. No deaths, not yet at least, but if they kept pushing her...
She is currently leaving the spot from 'discouraging' the last set of them, wiping her knuckles clean.]
B: Plaza [As much as being stuck in this location kept Mystique's anger at a steady simmer, she was more than willing to explore the town she was stuck in. Although the events of the day was putting in in a worse mood than normal. She missed Irene, she always did when they were parted, not that they had much choice if they wanted their chosen future to come true.
Drowning her sorrows in the seasonal merchandise seemed as much a fine choice as any. Any who could really turn down chocolate?]
C: Hot Springs Day [With the last few days, and the trickery of Luceti, a day for pampering was well called for. Provided it wasn't another trick. Either way, Mystique is there, relaxing in the springs, or as much as she will allow herself to while still keeping some form of guard up.]

He had promised her that their love would never hurt her. He had been, as she expected, wrong. But there was little to do about it, other than learn, and try and get past it.
This day in particular finds Jean meandering through the plaza, taking her time in browsing all the various booths. She's started collecting a basket of various fruits she's finding, thinking she can make a nice, fresh jam out of them. An unusual treat for February, but as good as any to occupy her time.
She's also grabbed a bar of chocolate, to munch on as she shops; or she would, if she remembered it was in her basket. She MEANT to eat it; maybe she'll remember she has it and start munching soon.]

[Adell had spent a lot of time exploring; a more freeform world let him see the outside, something he had to see for himself. He had to see the difference in the world he remembered and the world that was. So he was gone for quite some time. But he had returned to the village late in February, very well with the intent to dodge the Valentine's Event. Unfortunately for him, setting foot back in the village immediately made him a protagonist for a dating sim... and of course, it made him subject to camera crews following his moves from a distance. Oddly, this didn't feel out of place at all.
Still, Adell made his way through the square, looking at all the directions and stalls. Oddly enthralling, though some voice in the back of his mind said they were familiar somehow. Still, either way, while there Adell seemed to radiate a charisma... he was handsome and muscular, and surprisingly at the time, very available. Strange how these vibes were coming off... but if you were in need, looked lonely or bored, or wanted to approach him, he'd be there.
Would he prove to be a good friend or a date? Only one way to find out.]
[Locked: Cloche Route]
[At some other point during the week, Adell had arranged to meet with someone important to him, someone he hadn't seen in too long. He'd kept in touch with the journals while he was away, but it had been all too long since they saw each other in person for any length.
It was time to fix that, and before the appointed time, he went to where they agreed to meet, not far from the square at all. The scents wafting from the square, chocolate, flowers.... they filled him with an odd sensation while he waited. ...Longing? Nah. Couldn't be.]
no subject
There you are! I almost didn't see you. I was going to be angry had you stood me up.
[That last part was said in a teasing tone. He wouldn't have gotten the full Replekia wrath for standing her up... just a small amount of Song Magic thrown at him, promise!]
Mm, everything out here smells so good too...! This was a good idea, I think.

[The thought of soon going back home to a desert wasteland hasn't exactly set overly easy for Vash. So the arrival of new and bright flowers can't help but to make him smile ruefully. Ah, heck rueful. He was going to enjoy this while it lasted.
So while he's avoiding the food - he remembers what happens with that stuff when the rest of the town turns pink and red - he feels like the flowers must be safe. They're pre-cut and everything! They should be completely safe!
At some point he'll have a few different color flowers in his hair and behind his ear. Smiling like a fool and just feeling good. Maybe he'll offer someone one of the flowers he has poking out of his pockets. He just wants to be covered in flowers at the moment. He's more than happy to start chatting with a friend if spotted.
Yet, after years of helping out at the flower shop he can't help but want to help out at the booth too.]
Finding everything, alright? If not we might have a different flower at Azalea.
For Meryl:
[Maybe he ate a chocolate without thinking. Maybe it was just the way love seemed to be in the air. Or perhaps it was some feelings left over by the flowers, but Vash decides to make a special bouquet of the beautiful flowers. He works on it for awhile trying to get it just right before tying it together with a red ribbon he found.
It's a mixture. Mostly red and orange with a few whites and yellows mixed in to give it a bit more color. Originally he was going to make them all red, but became worried that she might think he was just focusing on Rem again. No, this time he wants his thoughts to be just about Meryl.
Hiding the flowers behind his back as he approaches the short insurance girl, he tries to act 'natural' and hope that he isn't blushing too brightly.] Hey, Meryl. So, I was just thinking, before we have to go back home and you chasing me everywhere... the town has been decorated pretty nicely too... how about having a quiet dinner tonight? Just us two- ah! Because, you know, Wolfwood and Milly might like a night alone together is all and ah-- here! I saw these and thought you might like them.
no subject
She gives him a Look: bored and ready for some childlike confession of mischief gone awry... but that's now what she receives. Actually, she's a little stunned by the proposed dinner and-- wait, flowers, too? She's never received flowers. Not one in her life. Luffy had given her a locket, out of friendship, but flowers... flowers from Vash. She's brain numb for a too-long moment before she sputters, speaking softly out of surprise. ]
I... y-yes, sure... thank you...
[ They'd had dinner before, just the two of them, in this kind of context, but she didn't think this would happen again. She takes the offered flowers, looking at them, unsure of what to do with herself. She's red to the ears, if nothing else. ]

EVER!!!and although it took a while, she realized her husband's student (ex... student) had a crush on her. This year, Kushina is way more weary of her surroundings and the people around her. Not to mention, what's up with that camera crew??? She might have punched one of those guys to break free of their oppressive filming and questions. No, she definitely did.
So she's sneaking around corners and checking areas before she pops out. Even then, she keeps to the walls to try and stay out of sight. Tries. As always that bright red hair of hers is hard not to be noticed.
And she might bump into someone on accident as she darts from hiding spot to hiding spot.]

He's not suspicious if only because it looked like a festival. Oh sure there weren't masks, stage performances, or setting things on fire. But there were still a lot of booths and decorations. It was a strange festival but everything in luceti is strange to him. Besides, it's not like everyone was running around paranoid and acting like this was a bad thing. Perhaps due to the nature of Valentines itself he is inclined to let down his defenses and have some fun. Trying to "work on his weaknesses" has been a long and emotionally draining process.
So Wan will join in after finding and wearing what is clearly the proper attire. Which he is going to stuff with various fruits. Not without trying a few of them first of course. Which may explain why he's so happy and affectionate with everyone. Are you a friend? Have a hug and some fruit. Are you a stranger? You deserve presents too. Have you talked to him maybe once in you entire life? He might not be familiar with you but you are still his friend. Are you suspicious of this entire event and/or are pissed off at the camera guys following you everywhere? It's okay, just lighten up and have some fun! Have a fruit or something. They taste really good!]
no subject
One thing he couldn't avoid? The stalker camera people. Who were really starting to get on his nerves as he grumpily stalked through the village. So he definitely falls into that latter category there.
After scattering a couple of the cameramen with some firebending, Zuko scurried off in hopes to lose them. And that's when he came across Wan, pausing to give him a strange look before he approached.]
