What: Misa agreed to show Hijiri, who was new to Luceti, around.
When: Midday
Where: First to House #7, then who knows...
Summary: Misa meets Hijiri Minase, one of the new feathers. She agrees to show him around Luceti. She couldn't help it. It seemed like a fun idea.

Misa closed and locked the door of House #50. Everyone else was out that day and not only Misa. It was sad that Misa hadn't seen Tifa in a very long while. Partly Misa's fault for rising so late in the morning. Once she was sure that the house was secured she walked towards House #7. At times like these, Misa wished that they had cars in Luceti. It was really inconvenient to go anywhere without transportation. She was really going to look forward to the time where she could ride even a bus again.

She was looking forward to showing him around. Hijiri reminded her a great deal of Duo. She was sure that they met already. Somehow though, she felt like maybe she should worry about those two teaming up. Hisoka seems to be the first person that they plan to target for their mischief. Her only relief was believing that Hijiri wouldn't go too far with his jokes.

It took some time, but Misa finally made it to House #7, where Hijiri and his friends were staying. She wondered how Hisoka was. That last time she saw him, he was certainly in a sour mood for a reason that he hadn't told her. She knocked carefully on the door. "Hello? Anyone home?"

Misa giggled and shook her head as Hijiri teased the mannequin. "Handsome? Maybe~" she couldn't help but tease back. "Don't you know it is rude to tease a mannequin? The poor thing can't tease you back." She sticks out her tongue.

She nods excitedly. "Sure! I can't wait to see it again. The last time, I only saw a glimpse."

"But I'm not teasing him! Just praising his beauty~" He laughed.

"Let's go then! Before we get sidetracked again and before it gets dark!" He led the way out.

An eyebrow raised at his reply. That was definitely something Duo would say. That thought made her sigh because she missed him already. "Really? While praising yourself at the same time? Quite a talent!"

She didn't realize how late it was becoming. "Let's go then! The fountain looks pretty! Misa wants to see it while there is still light too!" She grabbed his hand again and dragged him outside. "Let's go!"

"Ah~ Did I do that~? I didn't even notice!" He winked.

He was a bit surprised when Misa grabbed his hand, then chuckled a bit as she pulled him to the fountain which was on this time.

Misa rolled her eyes as she laughed. "And I should believe that why?" That wink didn't make him look any more convincing. It made her only more suspicious that he was quite aware.

They reached a fork in the road. She suddenly stopped and glanced from the right road then to the left. After a while, she pulled him to the left. "Over here! Misa thinks..." She was doing this by memory. She wasn't at all sure. "Misa doesn't want to miss it for the world!"

"Aw... you don't believe me? That hurts~"

He is pulled after her, laughing as she led him to the fountain then he smiled brightly when they reached it. The late afternoon sun shone through the water at the top forming a faint rainbow. "Beautiful..."

She stuck out her tongue playfully. "Too bad," she replied in a sing-song voice.

Misa was amazed when she saw the fountain a second time. She began to wonder why she waited until that moment to visit. The first time was uneventful because it was turned off. Now, it was too pretty. She clasped her hands together and jumped. "It is so pretty! Didn't Misa say it would be pretty?" She always found a lot of things in Luceti pretty, but sometimes she still longed for home. "Misa never knew that there would be such a pretty rainbow."

He pouted playfully. "Aw... Nee-chan is being mean to little Hijiri~"

He laughed good-naturedly at her excitement. "You did. Too bad we don't have a camera with us."

"Yeah too bad," she replied. "Do they have cameras here? Misa doesn't think so. From what Misa knows, the only technology here are the journals. It is sad." She sighs as she remembered her old world. "Misa misses the camera. Misa loved modeling in front of the camera and seeing her pictures in magazines."

Misa never let it show much, but even though she was adjusting sometimes, she still missed home. Not liking her sudden melancholy, she giggled. "No time to remember the past! Misa must move forward!"

"I see. So I guess there are no video games either..." He sat down on the edge of the fountain and sighed. "I'd like to see those pictures too."

He smiled back at her. "Yes, we'll just have to make the best of what we have here!"

Misa laughed and shook her head. "Nope. No video games. Sorry, Hijiri." It also meant no hair dryers, cellphones and curlers. At that thought, she sighed. A few more of the things she missed about their world. It was inconvenient to wait for her hair to dry every morning.

"Misa knows that... but sometimes Misa thinks. If... we ever go back, do we get to keep our memories?" she asked. "Misa can't help feeling sad at the thought of forgetting everyone here"

He sighed again. "I'll have to look for something else to keep me entertained then."

"Hm... I've never thought of that. There are people here, I don't want to forget either..."

"Hijiri has his violin so, he should be alright. Misa sews and bakes now." She understood how Hijiri felt. It was such a strange feeling not to have any technology at all. "So that Misa wn't get fat, Misa had to give her cakes and cookies away to kids and L after she finishes. Misa just enjoys the baking."

She shook her head, trying to drive away such serious thoughts from her head. "But enough serious talk. It is ruining the happy mood. Tell Misa how Duo is."

He looked down at his violin case rather fondly. "Yeah, I'm lucky I managed to find it. Next time you bake, leave something for me! A growing boy like me needs lots of food!"

He blinked, a bit surprised at the subject change. "Duo? What about him?"

"Eh? But, If Hijiri gets any bigger, he'd be a giant!" she pouts, as a model she was called tall but Hijiri was already a little taller than her though he was still quite young. "Next, he won't be able to fit the door."

"Hmmm... nothing really, Misa just doesn't want to talk about something depressing and since Misa just talked to Duo recently, she can't help it," giggleing, she continued. "Duo is a lot of fun to talk to. We talked about his pizza shop for a while. "

((ooc: Ah! Let me clear this! We were talking about Duo in the Honey thread, I ended up talking about Duo in this thread too. LOL I'm sorry!))

Hijiri pouted slightly. "But guys are supposed to be tall! I want to be at least as tall as Tsuzuki!"

"Yeah, he's a fun guy. One of my best friends here already!" He smiled a little mischieviously.

((Ah, okay. It's fine though, Hijiri and Duo have been sort of trying to outflirt each other, a rather dangerous game they're playing that has already sort of turned into an affair of some sort...))

"Tsuzuki? Oh right! Your friend that helped you with that demon?" Misa remembered the last conversation they had. They talked about his friends in Luceti from his world. The grumpy Hisoka was one of them.

"Misa's not surprised. You two are so similar! When Duo and Misa meet, the first thing he does is flirt," she laughed. "Duo is so charming, Misa can't help but play along."

((OOc: LOL... who's the bigger flirt?))

"Yup! He's about a head taller than me."

He winked. "You just have to flirt back till he can't anymore~♥"

((Hijiri seems in control of the situation for now anyway... he's made Duo run off for more than one cold shower~ XDD))

"Eh? Misa hasn't noticed anyone like that before."

She grinned, wondering if she could ever outflirt Duo. Somehow she really doubted it. "Misa will give it a try! Though Misa doubts that will do any good."

((ooc: Cold shower? What for? ))

"You haven't? He's got purple eyes and dark hair and goes crazy at the mention of dessert!" He luaghed as he thought of how much Tsuzuki loves sweet foods.

"Well, we can't let him win all the time~"

((Coz things got pretty hot and steamy between the two and Duo doesn't want to cheat on Haseo...))

"Misa would know if she saw him," she replied. Was Light that tall? Misa didn't think so. L was always hunched, so she couldn't really tell. "Misa doesn't know many people that tall."

"Nope! We can't!" she said, with gleeful determination. "Misa can out flirt him yet!" She spoke it like it was a new game.

((ooc: Oh. ^^;;; ))

"I'm sure you'll like him, he's a pretty fun guy to hang around with. A little silly sometimes though. Just don't let him talk you into trying his cooking though..."

"Great! We'll show him!"

((and that is sort of how they see who wins... whoever needs a cold shower first loses... ^^;;))

Misa blinked, confused. "Eh?" She didn't understand how bad his cooking could possibly be. "how bad can it be?"

She nods with full agreement but then realized the time. It was getting late already. "Misa thinks it is time to go. It is getting late and Misa shouldn't be out late."

((ooc: O_o OOOooohhhhHh... strange game. xD))

He thought for a moment, remembering the time Tsuzuki had cooked.... "Very, very bad. Trust me on this one. You don't ever want to try it...."

"Yeah, we'd better get back. Do you want to pick the mannequin up on the way? I can help you carry it back to your place.

She stared blankly, then nodded. "Okay. If Hijiri says so..."

"Wai! Can you really, Hijiri?" She did wonder how she was going to bring the mannequin but she figured that she could maybe ask someone from the store to deliver it, though, she wasn't sure if they delivered. If they didn't, Misa would've had no choice but to bring it herself.
