[Incomplete] The Day of Testing
Who: Tarei and Van (Anyone else? Totally Open)
What: Tarei asks Van to spar
When: The day after Van’s arrangement
Where: The Forest of Luceti
Summary: Tarei asks Van for a spar, and the two shall be sparing to see each other’s ability as well as Tarei is looking forward to sparing with this wise elderly man.
Rating: PG-13 because of Violence?XD
It was another one of those days. She just felt like doing something. It wasn‘t like she had any good intentions behind it. Her sword skills were not getting any sharper, and her ability remained in the same condition, without practice. She was lacking, so she decided to ask for spar time. She wasn‘t one to ask others for favours, but this was one of the rare occasions. She would not be made a fool of by the Malnosso anymore. She was ridiculed enough. Of course, there were other things she wanted to prove, but reminded herself that this was a mere spar. It was rare that humans spared with her, and she wanting to spar with them. She always wanted to test the stronger humans, whose wills were beyond everyone else’s and wish to seek more then the normal human being.
She wore simple clothes, things that getting dirty in wouldn’t really matter She would discard as she was done with using it. She decided to wear what the humans called sneakers. They were comfortable and easier to move in, compared to her heavy boots. It felt as if she wasn’t wearing anything at all. A pair of loose fabric shorts that stretched for comfort and movement, and a semi-tight long sleeve black shirt for concealment and lightness. It was simple and plain. She made her way to the forest as she did, one could see the long Katana like weapon in one of her hands, curved and simple. A slim blade easy to move in. She was all for the speed and guile. She was not looking for force or brute strength. She was a curious fox. Tarei was always interested in people when they stand out. It was like that with her always.

He wasn't sure if Tarei had her own weapon, so he took two training swords before he entered the forest. For a moment, he considered bringing his own sword along, but without knowing the extent of Tarei's skill he wouldn't want to risk hurting her. Though of course, with the surprises of Luceti, he should always consider the possibility of being hurt himself.
When Van reached the spot, he was surprised to see Tarei already there but he smiled. It's been a long time since he met someone so punctual. "Hello, Tarei."

She dismissed that thought as a small breath is let out of her lips and then she continued, "Shall we start?" the kitsune inquired returning his smile with a half smirk on her face, and the sheath weapon of hers raised a bit.
no subject
"We can start, though I didn't think to bring my sword." He held out one of the training swords to her. "Would you mind if we started with these? I would like to see what skills you possess before we cross blades."
no subject
"Certainly, I don't see why not, this is no different from the real thing, except the weight capacity and materials this is created from," the fox replied taking one of the training swords and lowered it into a stance, "Let us begin, then shall we?" the woman mused as she sharpened up her form and readied herself for the other.

Van took a defensive stance, watching Tarei and looking her over, trying to gauge what she may do. "We'll begin as soon as you wish." She seemed to be waiting for him to make the first move, but remained still for the time being. If she was truly eager to spar, then she would have to be the one to move first.

He swung his sword out at her, trying to throw her back. Whether that succeeded would depend on just how fast she was though.

Brute force wouldn't be enough to make her relent, but he would need to see more of what she could do before he could form a proper strategy. Van put both hands on his sword and shoved forward, moving her just enough out of the way to make a downward strike.
no subject
"Strategic, I see."
no subject
He took a leap back away from her, holding his sword ready for another strike should she come near. "It seems that the time for chatter has ended." Now he would have to fight seriously, even if he doesn't know what Tarei can do.

"Really now, were you just playing, then?" she mused in a teasing tone, "Alright, then, no more games," she added raising her sword.
