Who: YOU AND ME! THAT SPELLS... MOUYE?
What: More event shenanigans

Summary: It's that special time when the Malnosso collect all their recent experiments and apply them all at once to measure effectiveness. Although invaluable as research, it tends to leave the subjects looking just a bit mad.

So there is a mod post and it pretty much tells you EVERYTHING you need to know. This is a second log so people can change up their effects and try something new, jump into the event late, or just avoid the impending CAPTCHA on the first log.

Morning, Uncle Scorpius.

[Yoh stops by his uncle with a soft smile. He was on his way to get some groceries when he spotted the man... Who seems to have seen better days regarding his mood. Yoh and Madoka are still affected by the experiment so for them nothing is wrong yet, besides the village in general being crazy, but shifts do that.]

[...Someone remembers, excellent. He smiles a bit, nodding his head and breaking his attempt to meditate]

Good morning, Yoh.

How are you feeling today? I hope I didn't bother you just now.

Not at all. You company is quite... welcome.

[Particularly in light of how messed up everything was]

Good! Then you don't mind if I accompany you a bit? I was going to get some groceries but that can wait.

Not at all. [Gosh, how could he even refuse that face if he was busy?]

[Yoh promptly sits himself besides his uncle at that, sighing happily. Nothing like sitting and relaxing with his uncle or any other family member, taking things easy and calmly. He looks around with a small knowing smile, at the other villagers still fumbling around.]

Everyone seems to be on their toes lately, don't they?

We've found ourselves in a rather distressing situation. [A beat] This is to say, a Shift there people have found themselves in a confusing way.

Yeah... I still get a bit sick when I think of the day Madoka and her things vanished, she was just at Yui's place but it was a terrible scare. I hope everything ends soon, it feels as if this time it's a longer shift than usual.

I was quite shocked you you asked as well. [About Madoka. Inhale] And it does seem that way, doesn't it?

It's not the first time she sleeps at a friend's place but taking all her things and not saying a word? There was something wrong there. I'm glad it was just a scare though.

[He wouldn't have been able to stand it if she had been gone like their parents.]

And yeah, I think that normally by today everything would be normal again, but on my way here I saw people still teleporting around and what not. Some even seem to have forgotten things about the village and us.

[...Hmm But yeah, he agrees] What's more... very few people seem to be working.

That surprised me too, I've not had to pay for groceries lately... I hope that when they recover no one will come running with torches and forks demanding payment as if it was our fault. There's rarely even anyone taking care of some shops and the ones who are don't accept to be paid.

[It makes him feel like a criminal, but he needs the food so he can't just not buy anything and wait for them to recover.]

Have you been keeping tally of that you've taken? [He has, but he feels you kid. He feels you]

[He nods.]

Yeah, Madoka and I always make a shopping list before going for things anyway, to make sure we don't spend too much.

[They can't be careless with money living alone. The bills won't pay themselves. At least the house is theirs so at worst they would live without electricity or water.]

So now all we have to do is note when we bought what and where and keep the list for when everyone returns to normal. Still I hope no one gets angry like that, I can deal with it but you know how Madoka is. She would probably end thinking she's horrible or something.

[And in turn he would end using his powers to kick someone's ass which would lead to really bad consequences that he would like to not go through. But as calm and chill as the boy usually is, he just can't contain himself when it's about his sister.]

[Well. He goes to ruffle Yoh's hair. He knows the boy is very responsible, but he's still his nephew. It's not something he takes as lightly as other people might and-] Should it come to that, I'll help you with the negotiations.

[Yoh smiles carefree again at the ruffle, as if the action just swept away all his worries.]

Thanks, uncle Scorpius. I may need help if that happens after all. But I guess it's no use to worry too much about that now, right? And it's not the first time shifts alter the village, I'm sure everyone will understand.

[Rather he hopes so, but claiming to be sure makes it easier to hope for it.]
