Summary: Masaomi wanted to see his friends before the draft and ts' his birthday tomorrow. So he took the thing Mikado Announced and decided to make it on the day before to make it easier on everyone

[Well it's a "party" - Masaomi at least didn't plan for things like decorations or a cake, so there's just the video games, pool table, air hockey, and whatever else is normally here. If other people brought cake or food though, that's good! His message said that this was't planned (mostly because with is broke arm he can't lug anything and he didn't want to force that on Shikamaru. But yeah!! Let's... okay so it might not be the most enjoyable thing ever given the date, but let's interact!

I'll be making subthreads for gifts and food (the later because it's not supplied so people know what's there) but other than that make your own thread, mingle, mass log stuff ♥ If you character is a friend of Masaomi's assume he rang them about the date-change. Same for anyone who replied to Mikado's entry about it. If you want to crash it that's okay too, or say you heard from someone else or just followed someone there or... anything...]

Wow. I heard about evolution at Silver's battle, but I didn't think about it for Linda. This is amazing.

[Linda would show off to say something to the effect of "damn right it's amazing, it's me" but to be honest after being that... well. Honest. A moment again she's hiding her pouting face in his chest] Ah, it really is.

So Linda's kinda bigger now and looks different, but still adorable! But what other differences does evolution make?

I'm sure that some of the trainers here who aren't me could answer that better, buuuut. In essence, for her this one means she's not a "child" anymore, as I understand it.

[He nods at Masaomi.] Yeah, we met after the Pokemon battle. [And he waves at Silver approaches.] Hey Silver. I was wondering about how this evolution thing works and if it means that Linda just turned from a baby into an adult.

[Yeah and he's wondering too. I he wasn't holding Linda he might've used his pokedex]

Under normal circumstances, it's better to avoid associating evolutions with age. Pichu, on the other hand, is a strange exception; while most Pokémon are willing to breed at any stage of evolution, there are a handful of Pokémon that refuse to breed until they evolve. The majority of these Pokémon have evolutions that come from an incredibly strong bond between them and their trainer, but that doesn't explain how they evolve in the wild. The best parallel to their wild evolution would probably being nurtured through childhood. I'm not sure if that makes Linda an adult now, but she's definitely not a baby anymore.

...It's complicated. Evolution is one of the most thoroughly researched and heavily debated topics when it comes to Pokémon due to the various amounts of ways that it's triggered and how new evolutions seem to come out of nowhere practically overnight. As I recall, this one is called a Pikachu. [He hums, and then motions for Linda to get down. She doesn't wanna. But then he can't use his pokedex: his new one.

And her final one is Raichu, according to Green-san.

Pikachu. Linda the Pikachu. It does have a nice sound to it. What's a Raichu like?

Linda's not leaving my chest [And he nods in the direction of hs pocket that has his pokedex in it.] Silver?

[Yep. He quickly pulls out his Pokédex and flips through the entries until he reaches an entry with an image of a Raichu.

"If the electric pouches in its cheeks become fully charged, both ears will stand straight up."]

It's electricity is so intense that its tail serves to protect it from its own power. If it doesn't regularly discharge its constantly building electricity, it overloads and becomes aggressive until it can release it. It glows in the dark.

[He takes a look at the odd little computer and notes what Silver says about it. Some of the electricity stuff is... troubling. But it's still really interesting.]

Wow. Raichu looks real different. How long do you think it will be before Linda grows into one?

Green-san implied there were special conditions to her becoming one, but I don't know them.
