Beach Party!?

Who: Anyone who wants to come!
What: BEACH PARTY! (For Katara or something)
When: In the evening, about 7PM
Where: On the beach! Somewhere!
Summary: It's Katara's 17th and while all friends of Team Avatar are invited, anyone else can gatecrash too.
Rating: E for everyone (for God's sake there's going to be seven year olds!)

[A few days before the birthday, Katara's housemates began birthday preparations. Not quite entirely secret, but they made invitations, told friends, spread the word, and so on. Birthday on the beach. Be there or be a loser McButtface without friends.

And so there's a party! With tables! And chairs! And umbrellas! And the sun is setting, but the Malnosso had no taste and put the ocean on the east side of Luceti, so it's a sunset over the mountains which isn't as cool as an ocean sunset. But anyway. There's a volleyball net and, you know, an ocean to swim in. Also Sokka ordered a generator with his mission points and abducted the karaoke machine. It was mostly to provide some music, but people can get up and sing with it too.

As for the food? There's a table for that. It's a bring your own dish affair, since Katara is kind of their team cook and they can't exactly make her own birthday meal, right? So anyone coming can bring whatever they like and set it out. The gang brought some meals of their own, so there's bound to be some cool dishes from the air nomads, water tribe, and fire nation. And cake. A big chocolate cake. Someone made it! We don't know who. (Feel free to dibs being the baker or something if you want.)

And a table! A table for presents! Bring a present, set it there. It's very organized.]

((ooc: It's out on the beach and just a general sort of party affair, so feel free to have characters show up even if they're not friends with the birthday girl. It's a free for all. SO YOU BETTER MINGLE OR THERE'S GONNA BE WORDS.

[ During one of their brief partings post-Jinora - i.e. when Aang might have been around the OTHER discovered granddaughter - Ikki ran back to tug on his arm. ] Grandpa! I have a super secret special quick question!

[He looks down with a fond smile. Two airbenders.]

If it's that secret and special, I should answer right away! What's on your mind, Avatar princess?

[breezing]

[ Well. She...might be on a secret ninja mission from Shikamaru... ]

Can I have another lemon cookie, please? [ Just. Asking permission. ]

[At first he smiles.]

Sure! [But he can almost feel a Shoulder Katara glaring at him. So he narrows his eyes.] Wait a second... how many have you had to far?

[breezing]

[ ...Five. ] Not too many! And I just need one more for special mission purposes!

[ WOW SHE LOOKS A LITTLE SHIFTY, scuffing her foot on the ground and everything. ]

[Even though he wasn't given a number, he still counts up on his fingers.]

You know what? One more can't hurt. Is it a really special mission?

[breezing]

[ He pays such good attention. Sobs. ]

Yeah! [ She looks really, really enthused. ...Basically Shikamaru promised ninja trick lessons. Yep. ] But it's a secret 'cause I'm being a ninja!

[ ...SO SECRETIVE ]

A ninja, huh? Do you think you're sneaky enough?

[breezing]

Yep! [ SOMETIMES. ...At the very least she can weasel information out of people like no one's business. ] I can be sneaky! Like a breeze! [ OR SOMETHING, GRANDPA. ]

If you think you have what it takes to be a ninja Avatar princess, than I think so, too. By the way, Ikki, did... did you see your sister yet?

[breezing]

Jinora? Yep! [ AND WAS WELDED TO HER but then let Jinora go because okay. But keeps checking on her periodically and creepily. She says her sister's name with no small amount of affection, and her ever-present smile softens, ever so slightly. ] Asami's here, too, which is neat.

[He gives her a hug.]

That's great. It was wonderful to meet her. And Asami's a very nice girl, too.

[breezing]

[ Ikki hugs him back, probably getting sand on his back and such. She's sort of been digging in the sand and running around, so. ]

She is! She's really cool and has super pretty hair! I didn't get to see all the stuff she did, but we heard about some of it after.

Really? Well you can get to know her even better here!

[breezing]

Yeah! But right now I haveta get back to my mission.

[ COOKIE NINJA, HOOOOOOOOOO~ but no she squeezes Aang one last time and then lets go. ] I'll see you after I'm done, 'kay?

Sure! Just make sure it's a peaceful mission, okay? Love you!

[breezing]

'Kaaaaaay! Love you, too! [ And with that she dashes off towards the food table, ready to learn ninja tricks. ]
