Beach Volleyball Tournament

What: Volleyball Tournament
When: July 22nd, 11am onward!
Where: The Beach!
Summary: Fun in the sun and a bit of competitive spirit! If you signed up for the volleyball tournament, be prepared to rock the house down against the opposing teams! Just there to watch? Enjoy the seats around the volleyball courts as a spectator and have a refreshing drink or some beach-side snacks! SWIMSUIT REQUIRED for everyone there. If you're found by someone in charge without one you may or may not be subject to getting mysteriously kidnapped and put in one, human or not. That's right, even chihuahuas if there are any have to at least have a cool straw hat and sunglasses.
Rating: PG-13. Please try to keep it PG-13 max and warn in the subject header for anything iffy!
When you first arrive, there will be a huge board with the brackets for the tournament on it:



{{ ooc: All of the brackets were totally randomized using RNG on random.org. Unfortunately, I don't have all of the muns memorized so if I put your character against another one of your character, PLEASE let me now ASAP and we can get that fixed! If there are no replies to a match within one week, that team will be disqualified as having not showed up, just so that we can keep going. After the first week, it will be 3 days. (The first week is to account for Otakon, since I know a lot of people are going to that.) }}

After you pass the sign, there are multiple volleyball courts set up, ref towers, lots of beach umbrellas and towels set out on the sand for viewers, and waiters and waitresses handing out drinks to anyone who comes by, courtesy of the local bars. Alcohol will only be available to those who are 18+. It's hot, too, so make sure you don't forget sunscreen!

[Emil has never played volleyball before, but he's not about to let that slow him down! It can't be THAT hard, after all-- just hit the ball over the net so that the other team can't hit it back. He's pretty sure he can do that much.

... maybe. Hopefully. He's going to try his best, at least! He's clad in a pair of blue swim trunks for the occasion and is armed with a bottle of water just in case he needs it, though he'll stick it somewhere off to the side during the match itself.]

LEONARDO-LUKE v. AANG-KATARA

[So, Katara's here, in a modest sports-bra-like bikini top and board shorts, with a small skirt wrapped around those board shorts, even. Ready to play some -- what was this game called again?]

[Volleyball, Katara. It's like Kuai Ball, but not. Aang's by her side, ready for some simple fun, in his usual tan knee-length swim trunks. He's gotten some practice in for the game after he heard of it, and it was time to see how it paid off. He looked at Katara with a smile while stretching.]

[She asked as she stretched... wow, that's quite the low lunge. Doesn't seem to be bothering her at all, though.]

[He glances down for a moment, impressed by the lunge. He tries one that doesn't get as low.]

Yeah, I've met them both before. Luke's a really cool Jedi Knight, and Leonardo's a... turtle who's a ninja.

[About that point Luke walks up, wearing a T-shirt and blue swim trunks, waving at Aang. He liked the young Avatar, and was delighted to have a chance to play this strange Earth game against his friend]

Hello Aang. Seems we get to play together today. Its nice to see you!

[He turns to Katara and offers her a hand]

You must be Katara. Aang's told me about you. I'm Luke. Its nice to meet you finally.

[Ah, well, Katara's disturbingly parallel to the ground at the moment, so give her a minute to straighten up. There.

And she smiles, taking his hand for the strange Earth custom of a brief handshake.]

Hey, Luke! Welcome. It's great to see you, too! [There was just a slight twinge of sadness when he realized that Nomi Sunrider was gone by now.]
