[Aang, with the Hatter's hat clasped tightly over his head, had spotted her chat with the squirrel while he was hopping between rooftops and he arrived just in time to witness her jump. He watched her bounce with a manic glee, his eyes darting back and forth between her and the squirrel.]

[ FFFF that hat. ]

New fashion statement? [ Like she can talk. ]

Yes, I found it very recently! It's really great, isn't it?

If you say so. [ SHE'S SUSPICIOUS OF AANG'S FASHION SENSE NOW. ] You should at least get an outfit that matches it though!

You think so? I don't really see the need for anything other than the hat! But maybe if it'll get more people to come to my tea party...

You know, I feel like I never truly appreciated tea before today. But now I know for sure, that tea is the best thing in the world and there's no such thing as too much tea.

[ Something seems off. SHE'S GONNA BOUNCE CLOSER NOW AND PUT A HAND ON HIS FOREHEAD just beneath the brim of the hat. Fever maybe? ]

[The proximity to the precious hat is enough to make Aang panic and step back from her touch.] Hey, don't touch my hat!

What would I want with your hat? [ Gives him a dull look. ] I was checking your temperature.

You must be jealous of it. You want it for yourself, don't you? I'm not gonna fall for any tricks, Yuri!

It wouldn't go with my outfit, Aang. [ Anyway, she's pretty sure now that the hat's making him act weird. ]

Then we should find you one that will! That way you can leave my hat alone.

I wasn't going to take your hat anyway.

I'm glad, then, because it's a very special hat. I won't give it to anyone. Now, what kind of hat should we get for you? Maybe your friend will know!

[He turns to the squirrel and begins making chittering noises that are complete nonsense to the animal.]

He's an Italian squirrel, he doesn't speak that dialect of squirrel.

[ Even though he's.. definitely not and he speaks like a normal person (Japanese, to her) ]

Are you sure? I was trying to use words any squirrel would understand.

[The squirrel sighs.]

Then you ask this squirrel! Ask him for directions to tea and hats!

I don't speak Italian! I know Japanese and some English. [ She could probably manage to read a book in it if she wanted, she's just not patient enough to actually deal with reading that shit that slowly because she's not fluent. ]
