[ SO IT'S EVENING. Pretty late, Yuri's about to go to sleep in her new feather dress from a while ago (since all of her pjs turned into weird as shit fashion show pajamas with wings, buttcapes, had the sleeves sewn on upside-down, or were just otherwise confusing) when suddenly there's a weird bump underneath her bed like something just appeared underneath it right after she closed her eyes. ]

What now?

Day 1.

Just a thief in the night.

[But he recognized that voice--and bit back a groan. Of all the times to Run into Pippa, it had to be after he's spent the better part of the day trying to get back to his own room. Every door, window, opening had taken him somewhere very different and unexpected.

He was tired.]

[magentarific]

[ Yuri groans, not bothering to bite it back. ]

Don't tell me under my bed is a portal to somewhere too!? I had to give up and invade someone else's shower because our bathroom door is playing peeping tom.

No--that's not it Pippa.

[Lupin shimmy's his way out and leans back against the bed, breathing heavily from the exertion of his misadventures that day.]

I haven't been able to get back to my room all day. Going through a door takes me to the wrong place, and windows do the exact same thing.

...even refrigerators. Can you believe it?

At least I don't have to worry about someone creepy showing up down there. [ Like Scorpius or something.

Yuri gets out of bed to turn the lights back on so there's light in here again. ]

If you want to camp out on my floor that's fine, but I don't have any extra pajamas. All the guys in this house are teenagers too, so I don't think anything would fit unless their closets became as weird as mine.

D: I lost this one!

[He's slender enough that he might be able to fit into their pajamas, but there may or may not be a difference in height. Although he's half Japanese, he stands close to six feet tall--odds were that the clothes wouldn't be long enough, especially since his usual suit had to be custom tailored for his specific sizes.

He smiled at her in relief at her offer.]

Nope--definitely not a creep. Teenage girls aren't my style~

But, if it's no imposition? I think I will take the floor. I'll probably end up in a tree again if I try leaving the room anyway.

One more year and I'm not a teenager anymore, you'd better not come creeping around then!

[ She's teasing, of course. ]

That's fine. [ She's going to get up off of the bed now and head for her closet. The closet's already open so she just reaches up to the top shelf to pull down an extra pillow and tossed it at him. ]

Do you want the blanket or the sheet? I don't have extras of those so pick which one you want.

Nope--not a chance. Your don't have near the assets of my girlfriend.

[Yes, he did imply that her chest was too small.]

Thanks for the save, Pippa. As long as you don't mind, your floor is much better than the pantries at Seventh Heaven.

...you can take the blanket, I'll take the sheet. [Because, snark aside, she was still a lady and he was still a gentleman. The lady should get the nicer option.]

[ Wow. It's a good thing she doesn't care about her breasts, she knows they're a decent size!!! ]

I guess I should be grateful I've only had to borrow peoples' bathrooms all day.

[ She's pulling the sheet up now and tosses it at him. ]

[Lupin laughs as he catches the sheet right before it hits him in the face, and he spreads it out on top of him.]

Yea, I have a feeling that this Shift is going to be quite the adventure...

As far as shifts go, this is probably one of the least annoying though. Tiring, but I think I'm going to just let my inner kid out tomorrow and roll with it! [ She stretches and gets back underneath her covers. ]

It's just the world being stupid--pretty mild, compared to Valentine's Day or that Horoscope thing back in November. [Or the fact that the dropped the moon on their little village last Halloween...but that was before even him.] I think I'm just going to roll with it too. It might be a cool way to meet people.

[He curls up underneath the sheet and gets himself comfortable for the night. It felt almost childish, like a few kids sneaking around the boarding schools after curfew, but this was a rare instance.

Just another reason to roll with it.]

Night, Pippa. I'd day I'd join you for breakfast, but the door might have a different idea.

Maybe you'll end up in a restaurant when it opens. 'Night!

[ Yuri goes to sleep pretty easy. Even if he's a thief, she sleeps under the same roof as a guy who tried to erase her existence once. Yuri's only trust issues are that she trusts people too easily, probably. Seems to work out somehow. ]
