All Week

[There is no rest for the wicked. After more than a week of being under watch by his friends because of his current 'illness,' the boredom and frustration are starting to reach annoying levels for Lupin. His experiences as a rogue and a thief predisposed him to a busy, active lifestyle--such a static existence was almost unbearable. However, he had hit a point where he had found a topic to focus entirely on that wasn't wholly worthless, for good or bad.

The confinement was starting to get better.

On the first morning Lupin leaves his bedroom with no problem. He enters the kitchen with no problem. He reaches into the refrigerator to get the pitcher of iced tea--

and is no longer in House 46.

Alas, for the remainder of the week, Lupin will never be able to return to the kitchen or his own bedroom. Every single door, window, refrigerator, or opening will take him to another random location. Truly random. Expect to find him in trees, on roof tops, in ceilings, under beds--anywhere and everywhere. The frustration mounts as the days go by, and his 'illness' starts to become more prevalent.

Expect a very irritable thief upon most interactions.

On the final day, right when normalcy resumes, he finds himself stranded on the rooftop of House 46 without a means of getting down.

Day 2!

[Just because an experiment is going on and making the village wildly unpredictable is no excuse not to bake more cookies when they run out.

Grune is humming to herself, finding all the ingredients and supplies to make a nice, tasty batch of molasses cookies. She bends down to open the cupboard and retrieve a mixing bowl when suddenly, there's an irate thief in her face.]

Moh y. [Which should really be "Oh my," but this week is wackbirds week as far as speech goes for Grune.] Arsene?

Day 2!

Hey, Grune-chan.

[He's squished, irritable, and not even going to question it. This was a Shift--and, after a night of mercifully sleeping in Luke's room, all he wanted was a cup of coffee and something to eat.

His kitchen was a distant nirvana. Lupin was starting to wonder if it was coated with gold.]

[There isn't a lot that can throw Grune of her stride, but this is one of those few things.

She blinks a few times, just looking at him with one hand still on the cupboard handle.]

...Are you playing side and heek?

Day 3

[Steve is on his morning jog, not willing to let this week's insanity throw him off his schedule. He uses this time to clear his mind and relax. But the sight of a man suddenly appearing in a tree as he passes does throw him off his pace.]

[Lies. He's dressed, still wet from from his shower, and the look on his face says that he's anything but dandy.]

[...So, Lupin, were you expecting a snark queen that's upside down? Wherever you ended up, at some point, Shepard wound up there with you, with a screwed sense of gravity.]

Okay, got any explanation for why gravity's gone bullshit insane? Because I don't. [She'll forgive the fact that he's not in the house right now, because what the hell, teleporting.]

[He was on the floor of the Barracks--at least it was the Barracks, with nothing weird happening with it. The building was familiar domain for him, due to all of his time spent training with Smoker, but it was unfamiliar in the context of leaving someone else's bathroom.

Lupin glanced up from his position laying on the floor and watched the upside down Shepard in bemusement.]

Congrats, Shepard. This is your first Shift--and it's a really stupid one too!

'Really stupid' is putting it lightly. [Goddamn Malnosso and their screwing around.] And this is supposed to be one of the many things that could happen during a Shift?

Last Day!

[Saori has spent the entire week just wandering around and admiring the chaos. During the day she's pretty much been napping, but on the last day she's fallen asleep on a grassy knoll just outside town. A loud, annoying, shouting cry for help and multiple expletives had woken her up so she can't help but investigate. It doesn't take her long to locate the source, a familiar looking fox stuck on a roof. Summoning a localized windstorm, Saori lifts herself up to eye level and looks.]

Mr. Lupin?

Songbird--oh my god am I glad to see you!

[She was someone who could fly, after a fashion, and could help him get off of the rooftop after a week of randomly being jumped everywhere. Lupin was tired, his vertigo was kicked up because of the joint effects of the Shift and his being unable to consistently get his anti-vertigo medications, and he just wanted to sleep in his own bed.

Saori was a lifesaver.]

Why? Whats wrong? And...why are you up here?

[Her eyebrow raises. Was this part of the experiment? Who'd put a wounded man on a roof. The entire situation...rankled with her, but she landed next to him, the whirlwind vanishing]

Day 1.

[ SO IT'S EVENING. Pretty late, Yuri's about to go to sleep in her new feather dress from a while ago (since all of her pjs turned into weird as shit fashion show pajamas with wings, buttcapes, had the sleeves sewn on upside-down, or were just otherwise confusing) when suddenly there's a weird bump underneath her bed like something just appeared underneath it right after she closed her eyes. ]

What now?

Day 1.

Just a thief in the night.

[But he recognized that voice--and bit back a groan. Of all the times to Run into Pippa, it had to be after he's spent the better part of the day trying to get back to his own room. Every door, window, opening had taken him somewhere very different and unexpected.

He was tired.]

[ Yuri groans, not bothering to bite it back. ]

Don't tell me under my bed is a portal to somewhere too!? I had to give up and invade someone else's shower because our bathroom door is playing peeping tom.

Sometime in the week

[Keimi is back in her body, as it should be. After many days of helping her, worrying over the things that could happen as they trained together in the arts of water magic.

So what does she do the first day it's over?

Seeing as how she previously got the mermaid to share a bath with her during the time she was a water elemental, they don't see a reason for them not to do it now that she is physical again.

Daisy wraps her arms around Keimi, leaning her head over the green hair.]

[Keimi blushes, her time spent in her watery body doing little for her modesty. Daisy's loving embrace, however, gives her the comforting warmth she needs to wiggle out of her shell. Her arms gingerly wrap around the taller girl's waist.]

...I missed this body.

[She sighs happily, kissing the Spartan's cheek.]

Have a very dizzy, very annoyed thief crashing into the bathtub from somewhere above.]

[Obi-Wan has just returned from his run and showered, and- following a rather minor glitch where his bedroom door led to the living room some five or six times in a row- has managed to enter his bedroom.

And then something thumps under his bed. He peers beneath the bed and finds himself face to face with a rather disgruntled thief.]

"Oh, dear. Are you alright?"

[He was tired, and the constant jumping around whenever he tried to leave a room was starting to kick off his vertigo and disorient him. Lupin opened his eyes and peered at Obi-Wan from under the bed, groaning as his vision settled again.]

Oh, I'm just spiffy. [His voice was anything but amused.]

Thank God you're here, Ben. Will you do me a favor?

[Action, morning of the 3rd]

"Of course."

[He focuses for a moment, then grasps one end of his bed and lifts it a short distance off the floor. Should be a little easier to come out now.]

"What did you need?"

[Folds her arms huffily.]

You are supposed to be resting.

[Not that she ever thought he actually would. Because come on. It's Lupin. Duh. Still, she is annoyed that he will make himself sicker and be more of a pain than ever. Keeping him mentally busy really is a full time job, gosh.]

[Lupin blinks, not even sure how he ended up going from reaching into his refrigerator to being sprawled out on Fujiko's sofa. He looks up at her, bemused, and flashes her a quick grin.]

I've been resting--and Luke's not here right now, he's on a mission. [Not that it was either explanation or excuse, but it was valid. He had expected Luke to be among the people who would understand how hard it was for a man like him to be still for any length of time.

But, again, it was no excuse. His gaze traveled upward to the ceiling, and around the room to take a quick scan of where all of her traps could be this time.]

...Do you think this has something to do with that weird feed we got last night? I was in my kitchen just now, getting myself some tea.

He's a jedi. He'll use mind tricks to find out the minute he gets back, you know.

[Honestly, Fujiko has no idea what Luke is capable of or not, so she just assumes "everything and anything." Hers is a truly paranoid existence.]

Mm, maybe? There was a shift with a bunch of people just showing up like crazy before. Guess you better stay still unless you want to disappear again.
