A bit. I let the wind dry me. But then I was just in another room.

And there's my point. [He flashes a grin.] People generally dry off with a towel and don't just wander out of the bathroom naked. It's...a cultural thing. People aren't used to seeing naked people outside of very specific settings.

Ehhh? Specific settings? Is the shower not an appropriate setting? Should I be clothed in the shower?

No, no, no, no! I mean other people being naked. Usually showering is a solo task, but seeing another person be naked just throws most people off.

Two people being naked...well, that's another story.

the difference is that you're both in the shower, not in a stranger's living room with people who are clothed.

I...dont understand. What settings are people supposed to be naked together then?

Showers and bathing for one, skinny dipping for another. There are places where there are public baths, springs and other facilities where it is okay to be naked. Even certain bedroom activities...

But, in general? People aren't normally naked outside of those settings.

I never found you offensive--and I don't think the others did either. They were probably confused and uncomfortable, since naked bodies are kind of taboo in a lot of cultures.

You can blame several centuries' worth of religious education, thanks to the Catholic church. Their lessons have become so ingrained in every day society that people no longer think of the original religious connotations. It's just an unspoken truth of society.

That...saddens me. But if that is the way of things, I can only either change them, or accept them. I don't see why I should be ashamed of my body. I think its a fine one, this form I keep.
