How hungry are you? [Not that she's offering to cook. Because :| Fujiko can't cook.] I've got some takoyaki~ [Now she's just being evil.]

[No...NO! Lupin doesn't laugh at her joke, but cringes away in disgust.]

...Times like this make me wonder if you really do want me dead...

[Not that you'd know it. She brings him some tea snacks to go with the not!soda though.]

[He was going to wait for her to slip out for a moment to slip out of the cuffs...but dat sass. Oh, Fujiko, you know exactly how to beat this man.]

I don't know what I'd do without you either. Seriously.

[He'd probably be more impulsive than he'd been over the last month because of Pops and Jigen--he might have even reached the point he did that winter, when all of the friends he had made in the first month after his arrival just up and vanished.

Lupin will tease and tease, but he was eternally grateful to have her around.]

[Her expression doesn't falter, but she can't really say much to tease him at that. "You'd be dead"? Well, he had died, and she hadn't done anything to protect him. She didn't want to let that happen again though. She'd promised herself enough times in the past to be around more when he really really needed it and then just once...]

[Still, the slightly mocking grin stays up and sips her own bubble tea, lightly running a foot along his leg. Oh yes, she knew very well how to drive him crazy.]

[As for what she'd do without him? She'd have to go back to reading and stalking the journal for one. It was so funny really. The first months she'd been in Luceti, she'd almost tried to place everyone's name and face using the journal, but with Lupin around she didn't have to. It was a strange thing to trust him on, but it did give her the luxury of a lot more free time. He'd fuss and do it whether she did or not, and anything important, he had a knack for being able to sift out. Still... perhaps if she was going to protect him instead of just vice versa she should pay a little more attention. Especially after what happened last time. Too easy to get complacent.]

[Oh, Fujiko. You play too hard sometimes. Lupin grins and takes a sip of the tea himself, just letting her tease with her foot. This was their relationship, and how it should be. With both Jigen and Zenigata having returned home, they only had each other left in Luceti now.

Staying together was important.]

You hit what I've been doing right on the nail, babe. Aside from smoking, all I really have is stalking these books. There's really a whole lot of nothing new, but we did have some interesting new feathers come in this cycle. One girl, Asami, is into racing cars. She's working on setting up a track in the Dome for herself, but she'd probably love to test her skills against you on your motorcycle.

[It was lighthearted, as always. He was an information miner through and through, and that was made doubly so in the last month. His mistakes were made in part because he hadn't bothered finding out deeper information. He was cocky, and believed that he would be out of there within six months at the most. He learned the hard way that it wasn't the case.

Complacency was a tempting state of mind, but it would make both of them soft. They needed to stay alert...but, there was nothing wrong with feigning it.]

...I've also been trying to learn some of that wind magic that's around here. Haven't had much luck yet though.

[It was another tool that he had refused to try. Now? He was trying everything.]

Oh? I haven't tried the Battledome for that yet. [It's interesting, and it's fun, but the thrills aren't the same since she can't quite trick herself into believing it fully.] I'll have to try her~ There's no way she could beat me at speed on a bike.

And you really shouldn't smoke too much. [Granted, she smoked too, and even gave him the pack of his favorites, but still. She will nag if she wants to!] I'm surprised the jedi are letting you!

It's a shame you're not a woman~ Then you could ask Valvalis for help.

Fujiko~ Don't try to take away my smokes too! [Whining. Between Law cutting him off from booze and the Jedi cutting him off from his wanderings and most of his activities, there were few vices left to him and little else to do. He knew that smoking was terrible on the body, but he wanted just some kind of small comfort through this mess.]

Val's a wind spirit herself. Sort of. It's hard to explain, but she's really good with wind and stuff!

[He's just gonna roll his eyes.]

She also tears her clothes a lot because she turns into a tornado. Very hot.
