Event Log -- A Kin'coran Play-date

Who: Luceti vs. Kin’cora, preliminary social bout.
What: Luceti has been voluntold that they must host Kin’coran survivors of a Cultist invasion.
When: Kin’cora refugees will start arriving at the southern barrier around 12PM.
Where: Luceti, duh. All of it.
Summary: Can you still call it a humanitarian effort if not all of us are humans?
Rating: G to PG, folks. Take anything else to your appointments.

As described here. Couple things to keep in mind, folks!

Although the Kin’corans will arrive around noon, it’s a 30 mile trek from the southern barrier to the village. They do have some horses and carts but it will be a slow trickle into town, not a sudden flood.

Have fun with your NPCs. Remember -- if from a canon, they should be minor, off-screen characters. No one appable! If you have any doubts please err on the side of asking us.

Included below are some conversational snippets your characters can hear from various Kin’coran refugees. Additionally, your characters may be able to talk parts or all of a timeline for the Kin'coran enclosure out of the refugees. Use these instead of NPCs or in addition to them -- it’s up to you! Also remember to tag your [canon] character name to the log!

[It didn't take Aang long to catch wind up of the orphanage situation with his position at the Welcome Center. When he wasn't patrolling around town, he was there, trying to look after and take care of the kids' needs the best way he can. His time with Ikki and Jinora has made him fairly sensitive towards children's needs.

Some potential situations throughout the day?

-It's story time! Care to help Aang with a story or join the audience? Better hope he has a chance of raising these kids' spirits.
-Uh-oh, some kids are getting into a fight. What's going on here? Can Aang play peacemaker?
-Aang tries to set up a fun activity to keep the kids' minds occupied. Arts and crafts? Can that do the trick?
-...Other scenarios!

[Arts and crafts, is it? When she saw what Aang was trying to set up, she went and fetched her own art supplies from home. She sets those down with the rest that's been dug up once she's back.]

Here. They can use these. Just don't suggest drawing tea cups, alright?

[He begins to sort through the supplies enthusiastically, but his expression sours when she brings up the tea cups.]

Very funny. That tea phase is long gone. But still, thanks, Yun. [It's nice to get to know her now that he's back to his normal state of mind.]

It can't have been all bad. There's a lot of good tea out there. [If you like tea, anyway.] And you're welcome. I just hope we can find enough paper for everyone...

I know there is, I just drank so much tea because of that dumb hat that I've only recently been able to stomach it again. [But he shakes his head.] That shouldn't be a problem. If we need paper, we can just take a bunch of forms from one of the desks. No one ever uses them, anyway.

Forms? [She looks towards the desks, searching out one of the piles of paper there.] If no one ever uses them... What are they meant for, anyway?

I don't know. I don't bother with that stuff. But I guess all official buildings like this gotta have forms for stuff. [He scraps together some more paper.] Think this'll be enough, Yun?

[For the sake of curiosity, Yun picks out one of the forms that's made its way into the pile out, flipping it over to the side with writing to read it.]

Do they? [She's pretty sure 'official buildings' with forms never existed in the Grasslands.] Name... age... species... point of origin... blood type?

[That's weird.]

Um. Yeah, I think this is enough for now.

[Blood type? Icky.]

Uh, yeah! Let's bring them over to the kids, I'm sure they'll have a blast!

Alright! [She picks up anything left over to be carried. Though, before they head off over to the other kids, she adds a question that has nothing to do with drawing or tea or even forms:] So... Do you think anyone you know might be with the people who came in?

[An innocent enough question, right? Even though she's fishing to see if anyone else has run into this dilemma.]

[He bristles at the unexpected question.]

Oh. I- I'm not sure. Some of them could be from any of the nations of my world, but I haven't been asking around.

[It's something he tries not to think about. He doesn't like to know that peopple from his world... maybe even his own people... could be suffering in other enclosures.]

[Oops. Did she say something wrong...?]

I guess there's no way of knowing for sure with so many people around... [She wouldn't know where to begin with people from other nations in her own world, since she never got to visit those.] But if there was and you knew? Do you think you would go talk to them?
