[The blue-haired woman Loki encounters has large wings made of paper surrounding her real, much smaller white and blue-tipped ones. Konan pauses, reading over the odd card. Rage faces? What an odd fact to see on one of these.]

Why would this make you think you are a maiden?

[Loki frowns and takes the card back, looking at it.]

Loki. It sounds like a maiden's name. I am most definitely not a Loki. I am more of a...hmm, perhaps a...

[He thinks.]

..a..boy's name, like Hank.

[It puzzles him why this name pops up in his head all of a sudden.]

I met a man named Loki the day before yesterday. He said he was a magician and enjoyed mathematics.

[Still, that must be alarming, to think that even one's name was wrong. Not that one can necessarily trust what's going on, but her name feels right to her.]

I suppose you could call yourself Hank if you prefer the name, though.

For some reason the name Loki is a rather common name here. Isn't it?

[He overthinks this.]

It might be a male name but yet, its so uncommon. I am not sure if the name of Hank befits me either.

[Loki looks at his flash card again, frowning.]

Can I see your card, yes?

Well, I have only met one other person with the name, so it might be uncommon here, too. But it seems like a male name.

[She pulls her own card and holds it out for the younger Loki to view. Most of the things on her card are neither helpful nor particularly awful, except for the warning to beware of masked men.]

[He reads her card, frowning for a moment.]

Konan. As in Konan the Barbarian, yes? I know that for some reason. I might have read that.

[He nods.]

So Loki is a indeed a male name.

Even though, I am still not much of a Loki.

...I don't particularly consider myself a barbarian.

[Read that? Hold on, what?]

Why would you say you're not much of a Loki? Would you prefer to have a different name?

[Loki agrees to that. This woman did not look like a barbarian at all. Yet, for some reason, her name reminds him of something about this bulky man called Konan (or was it Conan? Loki forgot) being a barbarian.]

Aye, you do not look like one either.

[He looks at his flashcard for a moment, considering Konan's question.]

Loki shall suffice for now. Unless you know a more fitting name. If I am a 'tricky kid' I should have a more tricky name.

I could be a sorcerer of some sort. Or at least a magician.

[Konan pauses and considers something.]

Perhaps Loki is a family name. The man I met had green eyes, too.

[Loki frowns and taps his chin for a moment.]

You have a point there, maiden. Yet, it does not explain my last name.

[He holds the card up again.]

Laufeyson. Laufey-son. It might be that this person called Laufey is my father.

A good counter-point, Loki. The elder Loki might be a family member you were named after, then.

[He looks on his card again and moves to pull a pencil out of his right boot. Unfortunately this outfit came without pockets.

He scribbles on the card.]

That is a possibility.

[Quickly he tucks the pencil away and turns to look at her again.]

Is that paper?

[He points at her wings.]

I think that unravels one of your secrets, yes?

[Konan nods.]

I made them like this. It seems that I can do more than just arts and crafts with paper.

[Although making origami comes to her very easily.]

[Loki nods as well, very pleased with himself that he managed to solve yet again another mystery.]

I am most certain of that.

[He takes a step back, looking at her.]

Try something. Maybe it will trigger an ability so I can claim the title of best mystery solver of this village called The Village!

[A slight smile crosses Konan's face at that.

She holds a hand out and concentrates, trying to do something with the paper other than form wings from it. Finally, one of the sheets flutters off from her wings and becomes a little butterfly. It doesn't take much more effort than that to send it fluttering over to Loki's shoulder, where it perches.]

[Loki watches closely as that sheet of paper turns into a perfect little butterfly. This maiden was even more crafty with paper than he could have ever imagined.]

You bring life to paper.

It feels like giving a little of my life to it. I don't think it would stay that way if I died. Or even if I was rendered unconscious.

[That seems right. She can make the paper do things that others can't, but she's fairly certain that the only things that would remain would be her paper crafts.]

[Loki is occupied with poking at the butterfly and being very amused when it responses to his careful pokes.]

May I keep it?

[It would be rather disturbing if she would grant life to paper while giving away her own life force.]

Is it a form of sorcery?

[Fortunately, it's energy that can be replenished through eating and sleeping and she has plenty to spare.]

I...honestly don't know if it's sorcery or something else.

[Loki is truly happy with that and he carefully cradles the paper butterfly in his hands and watches it as it walks around and moves its wings.]

It might be a natural ability. Something you are born with.

Perhaps. Or something I could have learned early in life, so it's just reflexive now.

[Either way, it is kind of an interesting ability and she's pleased to have rediscovered it.]

Indeed! You see? We are unraveling the mysteries of our lost memory!

[Instead of focusing on the memories he has lost, he likes to focus on hers instead.]

It might be somekind of...ability...a technique used for the businesses that encompass the art of entertainment.

It's possible.

[But she also seems to know quite a bit about combat and strategy, for an artist. It does make her wonder about her previous life.]

Have you learned anything of your own abilities?

[Thats an interesting question, because honestly, Loki does not know.]

I think I do not have any special abilities. I am afraid I am rather mediocre.
