Halloween is once again descending on Luceti! There's a maze and some mists and some ghoulish visitors and all kinds of pranks. Oh, and the parties. Don't forget the parties. Or the candy. Man, those kids on the draft don't know what they're missing.

As a reminder:

Starting on the 28th (yesterday) and going until the 31st, strange thngs are happening in Luceti. This is for those who have stayed behind from the draft OR for those who have been safely evacuated from the draft after their requisite quarantine time.

Get lost in the maze! Get rid of the spiders and rats and bats! Eat candy! Try on costumes! Do stuff unrelated to these weird happenings!

Be pranked! Do pranks of your own (if you wanna take advantage of the great scapeghosts)! Go to their harvest festival party!

Most of all? Have a spooktacularly fun time.

It just went missing? That's weird... [It's not like Crow to lose sight of his hat considering he wears it all the time.]

I'll help you look for it! When was the last time you saw it?

A little while ago, on my head--where it's always supposed to be.

[But then it just kinda...floated away...] But now it's not there anymore so I gotta figure out where it went. [Hence, checking the trash to see if some idiot took and threw it away--much like how anything else was found in their world by digging through trash and other stuff people just left in places.]

Well where were you when you noticed it went missing? Maybe it's near there!

[He takes a quick look around to see if it's near by here but it's hard to see with this fog.]

[Uh...man, screw this fog...]

Over there somewhere, I think. [Pointing in a...general direction...] But I didn't see it so I came looking over here for it.

[He looks in the direction he pointed]

I'll go double check over there to make sure it isn't in any bushes or anything. You can keep looking over here. [AND OFF HE GOES running in that general direction]

[Search all you like Seto, but you'll find that it's not over there. By the time you get back it looks like Crow's searched everywhere he can think of over here too, glaring at the trash like it's somehow it's fault he hasn't found his hat yet.]

Ugh, it can't be that hard to find... [What he hasn't noticed yet though is that there's a gaggle of ghosts drifting by overhead...and one of them is carrying a familiar looking hat...]

[Seto does his best to look all over the place, in the bushes, behind trees, in the trees and comes up with nothing. There isn't much of a wind so if it had fallen off it shouldn't have gone too far...

He looks back and calls out]

I don't see it over here! Have you found it?

No, not yet. [He sighs as he runs a hand through his hair in frustration.] Where the heck could it have--HEY!

[He suddenly shouts loudly--one of the ghosts that had found his hat had snuck up behind him to try to yank on his scarf. Though when he turns around, the ghost has moved out of his sight, though by the time Seto gets there to see what's going on, he might actually see the ghost with his hat there now.]

[He blinks when he hears the other yell and runs over to see if somethings wrong when...

Ghosts.

There are ghosts above him. The crystal in his locket begins to shine through the seal and outlines the ghost in a more blue lining to make it a little more visible through the fog.]

I didn't know there were ghosts here... [Spirits yes but not ghosts. He pauses then reaches up towards it] Give us back his hat!!

Ghosts? [Looking up--oh, ugh. Not cool.] You've gotta be kidding me...

[The ghost looks between the two of them for a moment before it holds it up a little out of both of their reach, waving it a little as if it's going to try to get them to jump for it. Here guys, it's right here, come and get it!]

[This is so not fair SETO IS SHORT SOB.

But he will try to grab it anyways!! So he'll start jumping up and reaching for it now]

[Crow's attempt at jumping is a little better than Seto's, but the ghost is still making to hold it out of his reach. After one or two jumps he huffs in frustration before, after a moment of thought, he then turns to Seto.]

Hey, I think I have an idea. Think you can distract it for me for a second?

[He blinks but nods] S-Sure, I can try. [He turns back towards the ghost and starts flailing his arms around, walking a bit away from Crow to get it to look at him]

Hey, over here!

[The ghost turns to look at Seto curiously while Crow suddenly sneaks off somewhere. But in aout a minute or two, Seto might spot him as it looks like he's climbed up on some boxes stacked nearby behind it outside of it's field of vision and is planning on potentially pouncing on the ghost to grab the hat when it least expects it.

...As Seto will be getting a front row seat to this, you can probably see how well this is gonna turn out since everyone knows tackling a ghost might not work or they'll just make you go through them if you try that. But hey, maybe if we're lucky, we'll startle it into dropping the hat it's holding anyway--just don't give away our location yet, or else the ghost will potentially move!!

~~What's that, the possibility of accidentally falling through and knocking the best friend to the ground? Pfft as if that would happen...~~]

[Seto does indeed spot Crow (or spot something moving around and assuming it's Crow because fog god damn you) behind the ghost, watching him curiously while continuing to jump at the ghost and flail his arms around to keep it distracted.

He can't really figure out what he's trying to do but he'll just keep doing what he's doing and watch him.

~~Oh god I'm aoeirghoa;ierhg I'd say the possibilities are high~~]

[Yes, good best friend, you're doing a great job at distracting as it's wondering why this silly human is waving it's arms around like that...

SUDDENLY, FLYING CROW

Or rather, more accurately, Crow leaps off his perch at the ghost, which does surprise it enough to drop the hat to the ground when it spots him.

The bad news is, you happen to be standing close by...hopefully you'll have seen him in time to dodge the hell out of the way, less you be knocked to the ground as well our dear friend...]

[Unfortunately ~~or rather fortunately for us~~, Seto doesn't get to see Crow in time. When he jumps at the ghost and it drops the hat, his eyes move to the hat and he goes to grab it off of the ground...

But is suddenly tackled by a flying best friend.

He lands a few feet back, groaning with his heavy friend lying on top of him.]

O-Ow...

[Whoops...to Crow's credit, he does immediately sit up to take most of his weight off of Seto and focus his attention on his friend first.]

Tch, guess my landing was off... [A slight pause before he looks him over.] ...Are you okay? Not hurt or anything, right? [We didn't hurt you too badly did we...]

[He rubs his head and opens an eye, giving his friend a small grin]

Yeah, I'm okay, don't worry. [Going to sit up too now]

Oh, good! [We were actually worried for a second there. By the way he's still sitting on you as he looks around.] Wait, where did my hat go?

[...Oh, there it is. He finally properly moves off of best friend so he can snatch it back up again off the ground before one of the ghosts can float down to pick it up again.] Ha, got it!

[He leans back on his hands which rest behind him while Crow is still sitting on him then moves to stand up when he gets off.

He smiles a bit brighter] I'm glad we got it back from that ghost.

Yeah--they better not think of taking it again if they know what's good for them. [Crow don't threaten the ghosts, gosh. He looks it over before he runs a hand through his hair (which, come to think of it, would his hair be artificial, more doll-like than human hair? food for thought) before putting the hat back on as he then remembers to add.]

But anyway, thanks for the help, Seto.

[He chuckles a bit] Hopefully they won't think to take it again. If they do we can get it back together again!

Right! [Incoming arm around shoulder!] There's no way they'll even think of coming back again with the two of us working as a team!

[Even if our "teamwork" mostly involved one of us being a distraction and the other trying to tackle things.]

[He laughs and tries to mimick him, lifting his arm to wrap around his friend's shoulder too]

That's right! [Hey, at least it works]
