EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

[Marco might just feel something bumping into his foot. That something, of course, would be Fattycakes.]

Puuuuuuuuu! Marcoooooo! My hut has become a weird little building, and suddenly this area is a city! I don't like cities! Buuuuuuuu, what do I doooooooo?!

[Marco picks him up and puts Fattycakes on his shoulder and pets his head reassuringly.]

It's okay, eh. Every area's different. Why don't you like cities?

[puubuu]

Puu... What do you mean, every area is different? Is every place like this? Cities tend to be dirty and noisy... you might find an urban Puffski every once in a while, but I'll take a suburb any day. But... I do like this hat I got here! [He doffs his little fedora to Marco, then puts it back on.]

It's a very cute hat, aye. [Rolls off his own matching fedora and puts it back on.] Cities... vary? At least in my world they do. This is a little too smokey and gray for any of the cities in my world, but I kind of like it. It's got a fun atmosphere.

You want to see the Alabasta-like area though? It's like a desert island back home. Oh wait, but you probably won't like deserts... there's the winter island area, but that might be too cold. Want to see kappa-land?

Yeah, that's why I don't like it. It's all weird and gray here. Puu? Where's Kappa-land? And what's a kappa?

Kappaland is over by where the barracks used to be.

A kappa is kind of like a turtle-frog, they live in ponds! They're cool, but supposedly infamous pranksters. They're not too bad though, just give them some cucumber, I'm told.

[puubuu]

Pranksters... I can handle pranksters! Lots of my friends are pranksters. I wonder if the grocery store has any cucumber for them.

Want to go look? It's in this gray city area, but so long as you're with me it should be fine, eh.

[puubuu]

Sure, okay! I just hope we don't get into trouble on our way there...

If there's any trouble I can handle it.

[Overly confident? Maybe. But he has his reasons.]

You're so tough, Marco! Let's go get those cucumbers, and then let's go to Kappa-land!

[Laughs.] Sure thing little guy.
