EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

[Day 1

It's early, the sun's barely risen at all, and Perona's freezing. She's been curled up in her bed for at least an hour now, shaking and grumbling and trying desperately to get warm with her abundance of covers, stuffed animals, and pillows, but no. She's still really fucking cold. And doesn't know why - it shouldn't be this cold, right? Yesterday it was a fairly mild chill, nothing like this! It's terribly annoying, and she can't get a decent rest. Ugh, she is so done with this place and it's damn tricks.

Fuck. She has no other choice though, does she? Swearing under her breath, Perona grabs her pillow and comforter and makes a beeline right for Mihawk's room across from hers. She lets herself in without a care, then stalks to the shichibukai's bedroom like an angry smilodon and flops right next to him. He can complain, glare, and growl all he wants, SHE AINT GOIN' NO WHERE.

Though once she wakes up properly (and peels herself off Mihawk/her source of warm body heat) and heads out to do her usual activities...Perona finds out why it was so cold out. Ice Age is where she's been thrust into. Thankfully, she did get a few thick coats and other winter wear earlier, but...ugh. So done. So fucking done.]

Can't believe--...what a wicked sort of trick... If I become ill from this, I swear I'll blow a hole into those fools' thick skulls!

[Day 2 onward

It's been hard going back to her apartment at the end of the day. Very hard, actually. Perona's accustomed to the cold - it was plenty cold in the body freezers on Thriller Bark - but having to live in the equivalent of one is not something she'll tolerate for longer than necessary, thanks. So, she'll be sticking mainly to Gangland in this nice little outfit (the dollar signs are replaced with skulls) where she'll be enjoying some good drinks and shopping and the turmoil and suffering of the stupid and the drunk.

She'll also pop into Shogunate for a spell, mainly to get some good herbal tea, pretty clothes, and some foods. Mostly when she's sick of the smog in Gangland she'll go to the fresh air and tranquility of the fuedal area. The Nile, also, will hold her interest quite a bit, if only for the abundance of treasures all ripe and ready for plucking. ♥ How fun that she can go into the tombs and temples and palaces in her ghost form and not risk injury at all, heehee~!]

[Why or why was she wearing something like this?!? Too much of her legs were showing with this! Leanne blinks as she passes by another person... What? What in the goddess name is that outfit? Suddenly, Leanne feels a lot more proper with her little outfit as she folds her wings behind her.]

Ex-ex-excuse me miss? [Please, please also be someone from the village.]

[Excuse you, Perona feels dapper as fuck in these clothes, thanks. Would've been nicer in black, but she'll make do. It's chique and feels comfortable and lavish. Besides, she's not one to hide much of her skin - Perona knows she has a nice body, and she enjoys showing it off sometimes. Though the wolf whistles and jeers from idiotic drunken men on the side of the road are getting tiresome.

Though she does turn with a muted grimace on her face once she's called out. Thinking it's another dumb male come to try his luck (easily taken care of with a negative hollow), she's only mildly surprised to see a young woman like herself.]

...Yes, what is it?

[How can being naked be dapper?! It's not an issue of showing skin as it is about feminine modesty! Though it seems with the men here even if you are covered you are going to get all the wolf whistles and jeers.

Though as Perona turns around to greet her, Leanne couldn't help but to ruffle her wings a little.]

Are you.... Someone else from the village? [And okay, gonna use a wing to try and hide the view of Perona from one side. NO SIDE VIEW FOR YOU MALE BEORCS!]

[Feminine modesty?! In my One Piece?!

But in all honesty, Perona is very much okay with how she looks - she's confident in her body and goes by the rule of "it you got it, flaunt it" though she is much more conserved than some others. Even she has her limits of how much of her chest she shows off to people. Though, again, if she can use her looks to get what she wants...well. ♥

Regardless, she's frowning at the large wing all up in her personal space, and moves it away. Excuse you, lady, you're kind of cramping my style.]

Yes, that's right. I live...relatively close by. I can assume you're from the village as well, then? [Though she's never seen you before. And you do stand out with those enormous wings.]

[Point! But there are cases of feminine modesty though!

You can use other means to get what you want. Leanne blinks as the other woman moves the wing, looking confused. What? She is just trying to help you out! The beorc men can't hit on you if you are covered.]

Yes, I am.... I am glad to have found someone else from the village. [Even if the other person is a beorc.] What is going on?

[Perona doesn't say anything to the look she's being given, just puts a few more steps between herself and this large-winged someone. Really, she has no idea why this woman's being so...so friendly with those wings of hers, but whatever. Perona knows she's not comfortable with the invasion of her personal space. She can deal with the wolf calls and the whistles easy, anything more...well, then it just becomes fun to break a man to a point of no return. ♥]

Eh? You don't kno--oh, a New Feather... [That explains it.] It's an experiment - a Shift. Every so often the Malnosso will set one up for us all to suffer with. This, however, isn't near as bad. And they did actually warn us of it in advance. Though a warning of my home being an ice box would have been grand, too. [Grumble, grumble...]

[It's not being friendly, it's being helpful! Leanne continues to look confused but goes to let out a small sigh and returns the wing back to a more relaxed position.

And you know what Perona, no it's not fun to break a man to that point. Not one bit of fun.]

Yes, I guess that is my official title here. So this is one of their exper... Exper... [Give her a moment.] Experiments? How is this suppose to help send us home again? [Birdie headtilt though at the grumbling.] I take it, my lady, that you have awoken in a less then pleasant place?

[It's plenty fun! And come on, the pigs deserve it - such jeering comments are no way to speak to and treat a woman.

Regardless, Perona feels all the better with her space renewed, and folds her arms across her chest with a huff. Just thinking about going back to her frigid apartment is enough to tick her off. At least she got some warmth...though at the cost being forced to cuddle with Mihawk. That was...yeah. Interesting, to say the least.]

Send us home?! [At that, Perona actually turns her head away and laughs. Ho-ly shit, lady, have you been misinformed.] Horohorohoro! That's the first I've ever heard of such a thing! These experiments are meant to make a mockery of us all - there's very little good in a single one of them.

And my home was turned into a literal block of ice. [Er, an ice palace, but still. Ice.] I had to escape, lest I'd freeze to death. And here is where I chose to stay - it's within the heart of what I usually do in Luceti...when the setting is normal.
