EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

What? Nothing positive happen in all that time?

I went camping, sabotaged some droids, and finished the construction with acceptable results. Do those count as positive?

Camping sounds cool! [Mostly because it has less to do with negative topics such as droids.]

Did you enjoy that?

[He smiles, though there's a little bit of a sad edge to it.]

I did. We all had fun.

I think I ran into one of your friends having a campout of his own a while ago. We toasted marshmallows.

[She starts off trying to hold back a giggle, but instead bursts out into a laugh. Oh man when was the last time she thought of Ed as short? In fact he's taller than she is now.]

Yeah, that- That one's Ed. I guess you could say he's mine.

[Don is momentarily taken aback - why is this funny? - but Winry doesn't seem upset about it.]

Do you know if he found anyone to teach him meditation?

No clue, but I hope he didn't bother you too much on your trip.

No, I met him a different night.

[He looks up at the cherry trees thoughtfully.]

Which area is your house in?

[The blonde exhales heavily, and wears a frown.]

It's in the snowy area with all the weird fury animals. It's kind of a pain.

[A sort of laugh.]

I don't blame you for leaving. Do you have somewhere else to stay until things are back to normal?

Probably, but I wouldn't want to move Ed and Elicia out into someone else's house. We'll deal.

I mean it's not like we don't have proper attire when we walk into the place.

Have you visited all the other areas too?

Yes, at least for a little bit. I still have some scavenging to do with my friends though. Do you have a favorite?

I haven't been to all of them yet. Are there any you recommend?

The "Space Opera" and "Gangland" are nice.

[Don raises a skeptical eyebrow.]

... You're from the 1920's? [He knows she isn't.] Or your world's equivalent?

Back in my world the year is... 1915? It's been so long since I've been there...

[Her memory is starting to go fuzzy unimportant details.]

[Don fears the same thing has happened to himself - though somewhat mitigated by the few hours he was able to spend at home several months ago.]

But I've seen your blueprints for prosthetic limbs! Those designs are advanced even for my world!
