EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

[ Being the Pokémon protagonist with a competitive streak five miles wides she is, Hilda sets out on her search for the items as soon as she figures out what's going on.

She starts in The Nile. Sure, it's pretty hot but that ain't stopping her from checking out the ancient pyramids and tombs in her search for loot. If you happen to be in the area, you can find her inside one of the maze-like tombs or going down the river on the back of her Samurott. For some reason, its glare alone seems to be enough to keep those crocodiles at bay.

Later, she pays a visit to the Shogunate where she's eating huge quantities of mochi (she needs a lot of energy, okay) together with her Pokémon underneath a cherry tree. Feel free to join her, she'd love the company! After finishing up her lunch, she wanders about in her search for a kappa to get some water from and it doesn't go too well for her at all. Instead of a kappa, she finds a a rather strange tree. She's seen a lot of things most people not from the wonderful world of Pokémon would consider weird but this tops everything. ]

[Aw yeaahhh, the Nile! Ingo lives there too, so sooner or later Hilda will run into him (and he's not very happy with the choice of dress). Chandelure floats along behind him, enjoying the heat.]

Miss Hilda. [Greetings!] Exploring, are you?

[ Hilda is currently wearing something similar to this. She raises her hand in greeting when she spots Ingo and his ghostly soulsucker. ]

Hi, Ingo! Hi, Chandelure. [ She beams with enthusiasm. ] Care to come along? I bet you'd like the tombs! It's practically like being underground where the sun can't touch you.

[Well actually, floating down the river sounds like a good idea. Sure, there's no surf with Poli, but they can just float around!]

It sure is! It feels amaziii~ng. [ 'Sup Red. She's kicking up water with her feet, looking like she's having the time of her life. Samurott seems to be pretty content too. ]

[ i hope you don't scare easily, Hilda, because Mei has been hiding in that tree! clad in her full ninja gear, she's been trying to get a full view of the area. the face-like fruit of the tree makes for great camouflage, and imagine her happy surprise when she sees Hilda walking by!

of course, she'll take this opportunity to hang upside-down from a branch behind her (spinarak-man style) and scare the crap out of her. ]

[ Her train of thought is somewhere along the lines of "Shadow Triad Shadow Triad when did they get here" and she reflexively grabs one of the Pokéballs attached to her obi. ]

okay, not really. but her reaction does make Mei snort into a laugh. it isn't often that her sneaking tactics actually work, and man does it pay off when it does! ]

[ She heaves a sigh of relief when the ninja speaks in a voice that is distinctly not male. And she recognizes it! ]

... Mei? Sheesh, you really scared me!

[ Mei doesn't even really resemble the Triad that much, she thinks to herself and refastens the Pokéball to the obi. She's way too small, her hair certainly isn't a white mess, the outfit is different in many ways; she's also only one person. Hilda should've realized that right away instead of acting on her gut reaction. ]

[ Oh, you're that guy with the cool name. She was just about to basically stuff an entire mochi in her mouth at once but seeing Gold approach makes her put it back down. Can't eat like a Tepig in front of people, after all! ]

This ol' thing? [He grabs the ornaments at the top of the helmet and tips it.] Not at all! It's like wearin' a glove, but on my head!

[After days of being unable to make up my mind RNG said go with the Nile Since we live in the Nile area, it was only a matter of time before they'd possibly run into each other. While there is some tombs and such right near here behind us, Cilan isn't particularly interested in exploring them yet--last time we were in any kind of tomb or ancient ruins, we nearly got ourselves killed setting off the traps or getting attacked by some annoyed Cofagrigus. ^^;;

So at the moment he's sitting by this river here with Pansage (and Stunfisk, who is good at shocking any crocodiles if they come too close while they're looking down and observing them) so when they spot Hilda floating down towards them, he gives a cheerful greeting.]

Ah, hello Hilda! How are you and your Samurott today? [Pansage is waving at Samurott too. Sup' dude.] I hope the taste of the heat here hasn't been too bothersome for you and your Pokemon while you've been exploring.

Cilan! [ She returns the greeting with an enthusiastic shout and asks her Pokémon to swim over to Cilan and his team. Samurott doesn't wave back but it does give the monkey a small nod. ]

We're doing peachy keen! The desert heat's kind of a pain but we're tough enough to handle it-- we just have to stay hydrated.
