EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

one of the early days who knows what happens when

[The trip to the Ice Age had multiple purposes. The most obvious of course was to carry on the scavenger hunt. Another was to scout how safe the area was, to see if Ikki could come on a trip there, too. All because of the third reason of course: the shared nostalgia they had at different levels for the environment.

Aang trudges alongside Katara, in a similar Water Tribe/parakaish whatever. The holograms have opted to give him some hair for this area, but with a high enough hairline that his arrow was still visible.]

What is it we're supposed to find here, again?

Spears. Teeth. You know, the usual.

Of course. Our home just wouldn't be complete without some spears and teeth! [But then he scrunches his face.] We're not gonna have to... pull any of the teeth, are we?

[Katara laughed.]

I don't see why we would.

Well if - if... whatever animal it is, what if it still has teeth in its mouth? We can't just ask it to spit them out!

No one said it had to be an adult tooth, Aang. We'll just look to see if we can find any baby teeth around!

Yeah, that's a good idea! I dropped my baby teeth all over the place when I was a kid, especially when I was practicing gliding! Now I'm sure we can find one. [He smiles as he admires the surroundings.] It feels like too long since I've seen so much snow.

Why were you dropping baby teeth when you were practicing gliding?

I can't control when they choose to come out! But I guess all the crashing didn't help much...

You were crashing a lot when you learned how to glide?

[savedtheworld]

A little of a lot! You know us airbenders, always following the wind! It just sometimes takes a few mistakes to learn when it's better to turn to a new wind.

[He chuckles nervously. It's a little embarrassing, but he tries to shrug it off.]
