EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

Days within

[Since she knew ahead of time that it was going to be like a festival, Raven doesn't bother going to work on the first day she wakes up in a weird ice apartment thing. She just puts on her updated coat and goes about her business. There's a list, right? Time to do this logically.

Day one will be spent in that Ice Age looking for the best way to get a tooth from a monster-like creature. The spear she snags mid-flight. Look out! Both she and the spear are flying, because what she catches it with are her bird-form talons. Hopefully no one was watching.

Day two is a trek through Egypt and it is terrifying enough in the tombs that she leaves before finding one of the objects. She will instead linger around the river areas, fishing and being irritated by her girly clothes. At least it's something she can handle.

Day three belongs to Gangland and her snazzy (red) suit and a lot of being unable to convince people to give her their stuff. Raven gets frustrated so easily, and even the bakery isn't really right anymore (though she visits), and it's around this time that she gets the idea to barter her crafts for the prizes, if possible.

Day four sees her in the Shogunate for most of the day, seeming to enjoy the atmosphere but mostly looking for sly ways to get her prize items without getting into a fight. She doesn't love fighting anyway, it's not really part of the rules either, fine. But would it kill this weird green thing to hand over some water? She stands at the water's edge arguing with it for a while.]

Day 3 - if that's alright

[Blue is certainly enjoying her time around Gangland, wearing a different outfit of her own. While participating in the scavenger hunt, she's not putting her full effort into it. She spots Raven sometime later in the day once Raven begins to barter her crafts, going over to her.]

Raven, have you managed to get the items from her. [It's a polite-toned question.]

Day 3

[Whoa! Way to sneak up on a silversmith.]

Not yet. Why?

[whoops, sorry about that Raven.]

Just curious really, getting the items here is different from the other places. You have to be able to steal or find another way to get them.

I won't steal.

[Not even to win. ...Well. Okay. In some severe cases-

It's best to just say she won't steal.]

What's wrong with asking?

[Wow, Blue certainly likes that about you Raven. It's like a new found respect.]

Most of these guys want something in return, something more than what the item is worth.

Then they're cheating. This is all I have.

[Actually, the guy with the keys seems pretty keen on making this trade. Raven's just too frustrated to notice.]

[Luckily Blue seems to have noticed, keeping her glance on him for a second before turning back for Raven.]

Day 2

Hey, Raven!

[Guess who was just kinda lazily floating down the river! Or well, now him a Poli come to a stop, just chilling in the water. Wavewave.]

What's up? Didn't expect to see you here.

Day 2

[She escaped the pyramids with her soul, is what's up. And hopefully a dagger.]

Hey. [That's all most people get. Poli has her interest though.] A water monster?

[bravefighter]

Nah, not a monster! [Or well. A pocket monster, but...]

He's a Pokemon. A Poliwrath, to be specific.

[Nod. A monster.]

There are so many of you with monster friends.

[bravefighter]

Yeah, I guess there are quite a few of us! Yeah, we've grown up with 'em. Some of 'em we've even known longer than each other.

[It must be nice to have such a friendly relationship with monsters. She always thinks this about the pokemon trainers.]

This is what everyone in your world does.

Yup. Everyone has a pokemon! Either as a member of the family or one that they caught themselves.

Day 3

[degleams]

[By this day, Rapunzel is at least behind the counter at her establishment again - even if she is sharing that space with several other people who aren't exactly baking. Still, she's pleased to have her job back, more or less, and she cheerily waves to Raven when she appears in the doorway.]

Hello, Raven! You're looking lovely today!

Day 3

Rapunzel? [In three syllables she goes from relieved to almost worried.] What happened to your hair?

[degleams]

Oh, my hair? The Malnosso just changed it for the experiment. It's only in this area, though. It's so strange!

[She was mortified at first, yes. But she's lost her hair enough times in Luceti by now to not get too panicked.]

So nobody...cut it off.

[Good because she was unbelievably worried about that.] It...looks okay.

[Can she sit down in here or- actually some of these people are giving the eye of appraisal to her red suit. They get the ice glare right back.]

[degleamed]

Thanks. It is kind of nice, isn't it?

[She misses her hair, buuuut it's nice to have it so short, too.]

What can I get you today?

I don't care. [So far, every time she comes here to get away from the chaos, the chaos is already here. At least nobody's trying to scare her this time.]

Are you doing the hunting?

[It's gorgeous here. It's gorgeous and it's full of samurai. And what's not cool about that? Nothing, that's what. Samurai are the...

...Is Raven arguing with one of those little guys for their water? Silver casually approaches the two of them along with Sneasel (hey, they almost seem to match, don't they?) to see what's going on.]

[And this bird is way too frustrated and fed up to notice them approaching.]

Look, just give me some of the water!

[The kappa is laughing its wet little head off.]
