Where: All over the village!
Summary: It's a wintertime jamboree. Go ice skating. Hand out gifts to those you love. (Or want to prank, as the case may be.) Deal with meddling, creepy elves. Kiss a lot of people. It'll be good. Except for the parts where it'll be awkward. But that's what we're here for, isn't it?
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R, I imagine. If you need to play out sexytimes, please either fade to black and take it elsewhere or CLEARLY mark the thread in the subject line. (The former is preferable, but not strictly necessary.)

[Maiza is fairly cooperative with his elf, but that might be because he hasn't been asked to do anything too crazy, and it wasn't like the elf wasn't asking nicely anyway. Luke, Czes, and Layton would have ended up with some bread on the table one day (he took some to Firo's place, too, along with the kid's present).

On some of the days, Maiza is on the ice! Maybe you're with him because the elf told him to take a friend, or maybe you just run into him on the ice. He definitely took Czeslaw with him though, because he wants to keep an eye on him and he thought Czes would enjoy it (at least for now).

One night he takes a break from the Christmas stuff and the staying at home and goes somewhere that's at least sort of familiar to him -- the bar! He won't get drunk, but he takes a seat by himself in a quiet corner and orders something just to warm himself up. It's been a while since he spent the holidays without the Martillos; it's a strange, sort of lonely feeling. He feels kind of bad for leaving Layton with the kids... but he'll make up for that later.]

[It's been a while since Czes has gone ice skating (and an even longer amount of time if he were his 200 year old self) but he was eager nonetheless when Maiza offered to take him out on the ice. Granted it's not as fun as eating snow and he's not that good at it but he enjoys it.

Once they get out on the ice, he's clinging to Maiza as he tries not to wobble too much and balance himself out]

We'll both lose our balance if you stick so much. Why don't you take my hand? [He holds one out as he says it and stays still until Czeslaw takes it, if he does. He's able to keep his balance well enough with the small body plastered to his leg, though, and he's willing to let the kid hold on if he feels safer that way.]

'm sorry... [His words are mumbled as usual but it's not entirely because he's being shy. He's focused on the ice below him, obviously worried about slipping and falling on his butt.

But after a moment more of clinging to Maiza, he shakily grabs the hand that's offered to him and clings to it with both of his small hands]

Good. I'll catch you if you slip, so try sliding forward a little.

[He nods and let's himself stand up straighter so he can move better. Not letting go of Maiza's hand still though. But he moves his leg to slide forward a bit.

HE'S DOING IT... A LITTLE... ]

[This makes Maiza happy, and he smiles a little wider at Czeslaw's attempts. He's a good kid.

He slides forward as Czes does to stay slightly in front of him, pulling him forward gently enough so that Czes won't necessarily feel the tug.]

[The pulling does help to keep him moving as he slides with one foot in front of the other for a good moment then slides up a bit more when he switches feet positions.

He smiles up at Maiza a bit at the good results.]

See? You've got the hang of this. Try taking another a step now. [He smiles back at Czeslaw's smile and slides slightly backward to match the boy's pace.]

Okay. [With a bit more courage, he takes another small step and slides forward again.]

[He's doing really well! That makes Maiza smile, and he slides back, a little further and stretching his arm out, tugging with the utmost gentleness so he can pull Czeslaw forward without tipping him over.]
