[ Valentine's Day. Right. Joshua knows what happens around this time of year, which is why he's only confused briefly when he feels his heart aching.

He doesn't really like being in love with people. It makes everything far too complicated sometimes. Loving just one person. Placing one person above all others. It's too restricting.

But each year here makes him feel a bit more like a human again than before, so rather than fight it, he makes his way into the main area of the village. With any luck, he'll find whomever the Malnosso are pushing him at quickly. He'll spend most of his time lounging around at Seventh Heaven, the Brigade HQ, or passing between them. What with how often he's moving back and forth, he might be wearing a hole in the ground.

[Eventually she calls out to him -- in a manner better suited for a hrade-schooler, given it's essentially a test to see what he'd respond to.]

[ The nickname is not unfamiliar to Joshua. And while it's not particularly original, only a few people back home ever called him that, and they were all Reapers. So it's not exactly something he was expecting to hear here.

After a few seconds, he turns, and spots Hoshikyo. ]

[She gets up from where she had been sitting and marches right over, hands on her hips and staring up at him.]
