This post covers the first day, before the attack. Remember, characters here are not expecting an attack and are under the impression they will be going to Region 1 to fight. During this day, draftees will be restricted to T6 and T7 and not permitted access to other areas.

[It's during Pilouette's mealtime that Cloche finds her and tries to squeeze in with her... not quite appetizing food to maybe talk to Pils. Once she finds that sitting across and one seat over is the best she's going to get, she'll try to strike up conversation.]

This food looks worse than what we made when we were first starting out, doesn't it? Hopefully it tastes better than it looks.

[Pilouette looks up from the food she was considering eating, if it truly was food.]

Like, I know, right? Even my elementary school had better looking food than this. I was always told not to waste food, but like, I don't even know if I can eat this.

I'm going to attempt it, but I don't know how long I'll be able to. I could smell it being made when we arrived and the smell was worse then.

[Though, one of them would have to be brave and muscle through it...! So, here goes nothing. Cloche takes a relatively small bite, and... well, the face is probably an indication of how good it is.]

I... I think I'll just go without for now...

That bad, huh...? W-Well, it doesn't count as wasting food if it's not really food, does it? Besides, I wasn't too hungry anyway.

[She looks around for a second before digging through her bag and pulling out a cookie. She does her best to be secretive when she offers it to Cloche with a little smile.]

Made them myself the other night. It's not much, but...

...it's better than nothing. Thank you very much. I'll have to repay this when we return. Dessert is the best part of a meal anyway.

[If she could make dessert into every meal, she likely would. There's a pause to make sure that others are too busy to pay her any mind, and eats the cookie quickly, though making sure to savour the taste. It's pretty good!]

That was very delicious. I'll definitely have to do something now in return!

Y-You don't have to do that! Since we're fellow cooking students and all, we should share what we do sometimes, huh? If you're thinking about it next time you're cooking something new, I wouldn't mind giving it a try.

[She lets out a little laugh; she hasn't been laughing much as of late and it feels kind of nice to do so. She soon looks back to the food they were provided with though.]

I still kind of wonder who they have cooking this junk, though. Blegh. I bet they were careless with it because they have to feed so many people, though. What's the saying? Like, quantity over quality?

I'll try something new, then. Then, maybe we can do something big for our friends! A picnic, or... a dinner, or something. [It couldn't be THAT hard to do while they were learning, right? It's not like some horrible kitchen disasters would happen!]

Someone who isn't Sanji or Rin or anyone that has good cooking skill. Even the food in the Grand Bell wasn't made this horribly for everyone, and they had to feed a large army.

A picnic would be nice. There really haven't been many fun things lately, so I bet a lot of people would like that now that it's warming up! Come to think of it, I don't think there's even been a New Feather party in a while...

You're probably right. I bet they just grabbed whoever was around and had them cook this stuff. If this stuff is any proof, they've, like, probably never cooked in their lives. When I get back, I'm definitely going to eat some real food...!
