[ More than a bit frazzled herself, Rapunzel is glad to see a familiar face when she enters the medical bay to set up shop. She hurries to Pilouette's side. ]

Oh, Pilouette! You're here, too?

Y-Yeah...

[Pilouette is kind of glad that Rapunzel's here, too, but...she's not glad that Rapunzel is here, too. She takes a second to look around, still a little shocked at the suddenness with which everything is happening.]

I didn't think anything was happening until tomorrow...! Or...well, morning or whatever, anyway!

[gleamed]

That's what I thought, too. [ Rapunzel rubs her forehead, achy and sleep-deprived. ] I don't know what's going on.

[ribbonbon]

[Just from hearing people around her as she had gathered up her own supplies, Pilouette had an idea of what was happening.]

The way people are acting, you don't think it's an...an attack, do you?

[She asks because part of her wants someone to assure her that it's not, that everything is going according to plan and that this is just a drill or something.]

[gleamed]

[ It almost makes Rapunzel wish she knew more about the Malnosso and more about the war, because maybe she wouldn't feel quite so scared then. ]

I don't know. Could they get all the way up here by themselves?

[ribbonbon]

Uh...I-I dunno. Maybe?

[Pilouette has just about as much knowledge on those things as Rapunzel does. Probably less, as early on in her time in Luceti, she purposely ignored most of the Malnosso's messages out of a childish sense of spite. Nervously, she grips her first aid kit tight.]

Whatever's going on, it can't be good. Everybody else looks pretty on edge...!

[gleamed]

[ She nods in agreement. ] They do. I guess all we can do for now is wait at the ready in case anyone needs our help.

[ribbonbon]

Y...Yeah! Yeah, that's right! A-And if anyone needs us, we'll be able to like, jump right in! We can do this! We can so totally do this!

[She's not entirely sure who she's really trying to convince here. She's sure Rapunzel can help out. After all, she runs the whole bakery and one has to smart to that! Pils isn't entirely sure about herself, though.]

[gleamed]

[ Rapunzel needs the convincing, too. She’s acted as a medic a few times in the village before, but never on a scale like this. Never for a war. ]

Right. If anyone gets hurt, we’ll be here for them.

[ribbonbon]

[Pilouette nods firmly, trying to sound confident as any good adult should.]

A-And we can help each other, too! Like uh, h-help each other to help everyone else or something!

[gleamed]

Right! If you need back up, I'll be sure to help, and if I need back up, you can help me, too.

[ They could make it through this together. ]

[ribbonbon]

E-Exactly! If we just work together and stuff, w-we'll be just fine! I-I mean, I'm still kind of like, a first aid newbie, b-but I'll do my best! A-And I've got like, extra bandages and that kinda stuff if you need them!

[While she feels little more confident knowing that she can ask Rapunzel for help, knowing that she'll be counted on as well keeps her from being completely calm.]

[gleamed]

And I can heal people with my hair!

[ She is completely serious. ]

Yeah! Yeah, you can-

...I'm sorry, what?

[Did she just say she can...heal people. With her hair. Hold on, Rapunzel, it's taking a minute for Pilouette to fully comprehend what's just been said.]

[gleamed]

Oh - yes! I can heal people. By singing to my hair.

[ribbonbon]

Oh! Okay! Yeah, that um...Huh? I'm not sure I really get it, but...

[She's not sure if Rapunzel is being serious or if it's some kind of slang or what.]

[gleamed]

It's quite simple. I just sing a healing song to my hair, and then it starts to glow and heals whatever it's touching!

[ribbonbon]

[Pilouette is starts to realize that Rapunzel isn't kidding. Not to mention that magic and the like is pretty common in Luceti.]

Omigosh you really do have perfect hair. ...I-I mean, that's like, totally amazing!!

[gleamed]

[ Rapunzel blushes at the compliment. ]

It's just something I've always been able to do.

That doesn't make it any less amazing, though! With something like that you'll like, totally be able to help lots and lots of people!

[Pilouette is genuinely excited, though it does make her feel just the teeniest bit more mundane.]

[gleamed]

[ Rapunzel chuckles softly. ] I...I hope so.
