What: A field trip for the entirety of Luceti!
When: October 27th, until the end of November 2nd
Where: The Happiest Place on the Moon, Malnosso World!
Summary: So you remember all those times Luceti was transformed into Luceti Land? Welcome to Malnosso World, Luceti Land's bigger, cooler brother. Be sure to keep all hands inside the rides at all times, and refer to your map if you get lost. Trust me, you'll get lost.

[Someone apparently thought it'd be funny to stick Shikamaru in a villa with a depressed Rock Lee. Shikamaru's not sure he's done anything to deserve such punishment, but Lee is a friend; he wants to help cheer him up. He's just grateful two others got put into their villa so he doesn't have to suffer handle it alone. Most of the time.

From October 27-31, after satisfying that his friends are safe, Shikamaru spends what time he gets to himself exploring the area and gathering information. At one point or another, he's in every part of the park at some point. He congratulates Tyrus residents on the "good news", and tries to talk to as many other people who seem willing. He even manages to hand out some of those Brigade Badges of Haruhi's. By the end of the second night, he has a new list of known enclosures, among other things.

When not occupied with that, he'll probably be wherever someone sees fit to drag him too. He's very draggable, and such, to friends and villa-mates. Given the choice, he's much keener on Thrill Land. Roller coasters.

On the night of the 31st, Usopp gets Lee drunk and wrecks their villa. 8| It's repaired the next day thanks to Shifts, but feeling bad for the fuss he spends the last two days (November 1-2) at Casino Land, winning prizes on behalf of the Malnosso workers who had to deal with them or anyone else involved ((ooc: though whether such a thing is doable is yet to be determined; he's trying nonetheless))

He loses more than he wins. Seeing as he still has a considerable pile of tokens by the end of it, that says something. It doesn't really matter to him though. Soon as he found about it, his true goal has been to get into that secret backroom, after all.]

[That guy looks vaguely familiar, actually. :|a It takes her a moment to place him as the guy who spoke to her on her first day here. She may as well say hi, especially as he didn't strike her as the gambling type.]

[There's a girl with long brown hair pulling up a chair next to you wherever you are. Though Shikamaru is a pretty perceptive guy, so.]

Depends on-- [He looks away from the cards long enough to get a glimpse and brown hair and frowns, eyebrow raised.] Is that a wig?

'fraid so. [Gettin comfy in her chair, before she props her chin on her hands.] Not the most fashionable thing in the world, I know. It was all I could find on short notice.

Who'd you kill?

No one, yet. Why, do you think I should?

You needed a disguise on short notice; you had to have killed someone or pissed someone else off.

[Okay there's a lot more options than that, but those are the funny ones.]

[AT SOME POINT AND TIME Shiemi gets separated from Rin due to cut offs in lines, and eventually will end up aimlessly getting on rides hoping to meet back up with him. Instead she ends up getting shoved in line causing her to bump into Shikamaru.]

A-ah! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be so rude.

[There's actually two lines here, the one they're now both in the shorter of them. Oddly, no one seems to be complaining about cuts.]

Hey, you're that girl... Shiemi, right?

Y-yes, that's me! And you're Shikamaru.

[He flashes her a thumbs up - got it in one - before looking to see if anyone else is with her.]

Do you have somewhere to be, right now?

[shamelessness]

Not really? I got separated from Rin, but it's all right. I've just been getting on rides. Maybe I'll meet back up with him.

[Excellent.]

[Joining Shikamaru in Casino Land is a head of blue hair and a quick smile. Gambling at such a subtle pace that it's hard to notice how well she's winning, they end up at nearby tables and as soon as she gets the chance, Mia turns to his. To wait until he's finished, and then to talk to him.]

Shikamaru! [The Real Casino is no place for shouting, but she sounds very energetic.]

[Shikamaru is humbly accepting a share of tokens, giving off the impression of someone weary but satisfied to have this much, when Mia calls out to him. He has to blink and double take, to ensure he's seeing things right.]

Yo. You seem happy.

Thank you. I suppose I am, a little bit.

[All at once embarrassed, she looks at the floor for a second.]

Actually, I wanted to really thank you for what you did for me.

[A hand comes up to brush at the back of his head awkwardly, not good with accepting 'thank yous'. Instinct is to brush them off, but when trying to think of what she might be thanking him for... Well he had been trying to help her then, and to deny it would be lame.]

Yeah? [He gestures for her to sit, and continue.]

[Oh, she surprised him. Even better. She sits, the edges of her simle shifting into more of a grin.]

I don't know if it's the nature of living here, or...or just what was going to happen to me anyway. But I forgot about some of the things that are most important to me. You helped me remember.

[Then, as if trying to salvage his embarrassment somehow, she looks from her tokens to his.]

If necessary I can pay you back in fake gold.

[He did help her. The inklings of genuine happiness creep up on his face as Shikamaru shakes his head.]

I don't need to be paid back for something like that. I won't say no to a team-up, though. Did you know you can win more prizes that way?

[Anya hasn't spent that much time in Thrill Land, but she decides to give it a go just to see what's there. She's not a fan of the long lines, but something here has to be worth her time.

Hm.

And then she notices Shikamaru.]

This place is so big, it's almost a surprise when I pass by someone from our good old bubble. Find anything good here?

[He waves, from where he was about to step into line.]

Yeah, but I might be biased.

Oh? Have you been hanging out here this whole time?

[endgames]

Not the whole time, no. [He leaves that vague, nodding in the direction of The Shadow Dragon.] But I learned I really dig roller coasters way back, when a theme park showed up in Luceti.

Oh, yeah. Someone mentioned that. If they could just bring the theme park to us, why did we get dragged out to the moon?

[He skips the tedious explanation that Malnosso World is much bigger.]

Convenience, would be my guess. They have a second motive.
