[Quinn's at the item shop, picking up refills of certain health and beauty items! She's pretty distracted by the mistletoe, though, wondering if she'll meet anymore cute guys under it...]

[Frederic was shopping for a late Christmas gift for Poland and completely oblivious to the mistletoe as he makes his way over to where Quinn is.]

[Yes, he'll do...no, he'll more than do. He's handsome in a foreign kind of way, Quinn thinks, like a hot exchange student. Maybe he even speaks French! She waves as she sees him approaching, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as a flirty gesture.]

[Frederic quirks an eyebrow at the young woman waving at him. Is she one of his students or is he imagining things? Nevertheless, he approaches her and is a bit oblivious to her flirtation mannerisms. So he'll respond in his usual almost formal manner.]

Did you wish to speak with me, young lady? You were waving at me as if you wished to discuss something.

[Maybe now Quinn will get the message this guy is much older than his appearance lets on.]

I'm Quinn. [tosses her hair a little] I noticed you heading in my direction, so I thought maybe you were going to flirt with me. It's okay, though, I'm used to it! [All she can tell is that he talks like one of those weird educational shows about England. But other than that oblivious Quinn is oblivious.]

Flirting? [He ponders on that for a moment and then remembers.] Oh, it's one of those modern terms for courting. I apologize I'm not that type of man. If that is all you wished to discuss, I'll be on my way then Miss Quinn.

[Unfortunately he's stuck and looks up to see the mistletoe. Not this again. He only lets out a sigh now.]

Oh. [Pout! And he was so cute, too. He must be married. Drag.] Well...all right, then.

So shouldn't you actually be going?

[No dear Quinn, he's in love with another dude. But he turns towards her.]

I'm afraid we might have to kiss as there's a mistletoe above us.

["Have to". Well, he wouldn't be the first guy who didn't want to kiss her.]

[He puts a hand on her shoulder because he can see she's rather upset.]

I'm so sorry if I've hurt your feelings. But my heart is for someone else.

No, it's okay! It's not like...I mean, I don't expect you to cheat on your wife or anything like that.

[Well that took him by surprise.]

...My wife? I don't know if I'd call him my wife per say. Though I do wish to marry him one day.

He?! You- oh. [She's not really exposed to that many gay people in Lawndale. It's not a horribly closed-minded place but 90% of the school is straight. Maybe. Sometimes she wonders about Brooke.]

Well...that's sweet. We don't have to tell him this happened.

[He smiles a little at Quinn before leaning in to give her a kiss on both her cheek and forehead softly. It's the least he can do for her.]

[Oh, this is how they do it in Europe according to the movies! She smiles, clearly placated. He's still a cutie and she wishes he were single (and straight) but...at least he didn't call her shallow. Right?]

[And after the kiss, he's able to walk off.]

Yeah, you too... [And Quinn smiles, reasoning that this is not like the David situation. David had called her shallow, this guy had just explained he was already taken. And Quinn may have had no qualms about homewrecking in the past, but maybe she'd learned something from Daria's anguish over the Tom situation. Maybe...]
