[Loki will be going about the village, business as usual--at least at first. So expect to find him at the stable, the library, the Battledome, or perhaps near the item shop. But Loki quickly realizes it's That Time Of Year Again, so after that he could be anywhere, just hanging about for the amusement value of making other people feel horribly awkward, or being a jerk and refusing to help them get out from the mistletoe ensnarement, or observing them be horribly awkward with others. He also might even be running some errands for Rogue, since she understandably doesn't find this as amusing as he does.

Because you know. It's always funny so long as it's happening to someone else. But even he can't avoid the mistletoe all the time. Even so, don't expect him to be tearing down the mistletoe, since it's a good bet everyone else is way more uncomfortable about this than he is. Though he might make exceptions if there's someone around he considers it beneath his dignity to kiss. ]

[26th - 28th]

[For the first few days Thor goes about his business as usual, in somewhat dimmer spirits since Jane's disappearance. But perhaps, much like his brother, after a week she might return! As such he keeps the apartment she chose tidy and lingers there, occasionally adding another note, book, or knickknack from the item store he thinks she might find pleasing. Mornings are spent in the Battle Dome, evenings in the library. As he has still his shameful actions to make recompense for he spends many afternoons in the item shoppe, tending to the shelves and frowning at the mistletoe as it appears. It does not click until the end of the second day what it is, and how it seems to effect himself and those around him and even then, he manages to take it in stride.

Until the twenty eighth. His mood is dour, his manner curt if civil, and his frustrations writ across his stern countenance. There is no holiday smile to be found here.]

[29th - 1st]

[By the dawn of the twenty ninth, he has had it with this nefarious plant and all it's magic. Thor is without smiles or good cheer for any that happen across him. He is a man at war. It's no trick he knows how to break and for the first time since he's given his word to mind the shoppe, he isn't found in the plaza unless he is in dire need of supplies. Considering the appetite of the Asgardian and his living companions- it is sadly often that he ventures out for food. When he comes across some of that hanging herb- he wrests it from it's perch and crushes it in his fist. For every sprig he finds, he tears down without being caught up in it's spell. Or at the very least, he attempts to reach it and do so without being ensorcelled.]

[Haruka doesn't have terribly many haunts, but he's always regular about them. He can be found in the Flame building, the grocery store, the Battle Dome, or the paths between any of these locations. And while he couldn't care less about mistletoe traditions, frankly Haruka would rather kiss mackerel than whoever he gets stuck under the mistletoe with.

And while he'll definitely be avoiding the mistletoe once he finds out what it does, he won't be tearing them down or changing his daily routine any time soon; as annoying as the entire affair is, he doesn't care enough to actually make more than nominal evasive efforts.]

[Rock Lee was left somewhat concerned in the aftermath of Christmas. Sure, he and Naruto had delivered gifts to the village under the guise of Santa Claus, but unlike last year, there was no seen of the real Santa during this holiday. Rock Lee's competition was completely absent - so he couldn't help but feel concerned for him.

Still, he goes about the days normally. Frequenting areas such as Seventh Heaven, where he waits on people, as well as the Battle Dome, where he trains. Really, he can be found anywhere in the village, as his high-speed jogging routes cover pretty much the entire area plus portions of the forest throughout the week. And yes, he will run into mistletoe quite frequently. When you find him there, he may be trying as hard as he can to resist and try to 'break through' this invisible barrier without yet noticing the mistletoe. Or, he's already noticed the mistletoe and is looking up to it with dread.]

[ooc: I'm open to pretty much any effect with him! Except that with Narcolepsy, him being the one sleeping would most likely detract from the entertainment.]

[This year, Aang had distributed some Christmas gifts to a large number of his friends (okay it's incomplete but it can be assumed basically all CR received something sentimental), and now that Christmas was over, he spent most of his time at the bakery, still making some more festive treats for his friends. It was how he dealt with losing people like Sokka and Korra; by doing more for the friends he still had and finding comfort in those bonds.

Except it turns out that the teenage monk had gone this long in Luceti without learning about one of the things to avoid: the mistletoe. Aang can be found stopped by it in a number of place: the bakery (could one be hidden in a cookie?!), the Welcome Center, the plaza, the forest... He even finds himself stuck in the doorway of House 56 when a piece of mistletoe ends up hanging right there. There may even be one lodged in the nose of the Sokka head statue. Also, Aang has had the pool behind House 56 frozen over for some ice-skating practice; but one might find a mistletoe even frozen beneath the ice there...]

[ooc: Aang is good for pretty much anything except Passion. Well actually, I am kind of feeling iffy about anger too, but that can be considered on a case-by-case basis.]

[Grune has had a very good Christmas! But then again, she always does. She's delivered her presents ~~which mun needs to come up with when she isn't quite so exhausted but all Grune's CR can assume they got something~~, and now she's enjoying going about her daily routine.

She doesn't notice the mistletoe for a good long time, but when she does, she's absolutely delighted by that cute little plant! Even if she learned of its effects, it wouldn't dim her enthusiasm in the slightest. It's such a sweet little...parasite....

Places Grune can be found are the (mostly dormant) Memory Garden, the flower shop, most locations in town, the less snowy parts of the woods, House 34...pretty well everywhere, really.]

[Usually you don't move around much in an elevator, so it takes Sakura a moment to notice the seemingly innocent little sprig hanging over their heads. But as the doors slide closed to take her and Lee up to their floor, she glances up and groans.]

Oh no...

[Of all places, why here?]

[ Masaomi is out and about on the town and/or working these days like always. Linda is on his shoulder all of these days and he is working at the Convenience Store training at the Dome in his own Flame Building, all over the Square doing all sorts of things... And then once he notices the mistletoe and especially after he notices the tick marks in the journal and connects what they are for... then he decides to make a contest of it (with Gold and later with Shikamaru) and is actually seeking chances (subtly) to get stuck on it with me.

Any of the effects are valid. Any place is valid. Let's rock ]

[Rock Lee normally prefers the elevator, but he made an exception this day because he was behind on stretches. So, as cramped as the elevator is, Rock Lee is crouched down and going through some stretches right after he enters, not yet noticing the mistletoe. But he does notice Sakura's concern.]

Sakura-san... Is something the matter?

[ Haruhi . . . is counting down to the near the new years, resolving to do much more and much better with the Brigade after that. Because it definitely has not been a great year on the whole. Which pisses her off a little, but she's matured enough to not be petty about it. Just a little melancholy. Which is probably why she wears her long hair in a ponytail all of this days after her Christmas and delivering the anthologies that day. You can find her at a number of the places in the Square, her own House 10 and of course the SOS-Brigade's HQ (which is also in the Square but bares special mention).

Also she's heading to the hot springs at some point in all this, possibly inviting a friend or two.

Open to all effects, but she's not avoiding or seeking them. She's just being obstinate in trying to ignore them ]

[There's no much point in hiding it, really.]

[She's glaring daggers at the mistletoe. Really, why can't the stuff leave her alone?]

[He pauses mid-stretch, his face near his foot. And he slowly glances upwards...]

[And once he sees it? His eyes widen. And his response isn't that different from an odd, garbled cry of surprise.]

Elizabeth was still getting used to this place, sadly there were no coins to make a proper offering to the spirit of the fountains to, but she found a curious statue that was of a face that she believed was here but ascended to another plane (she still hasn't gotten the whole going home thing yet). Still it was probably best to offer sacrifices to local heroes and gods than it was to ignore them, so she was laying an offering of freshly steamed tofu and vegetables at the feet of the shrine to this local god (Or to anyone else's recognition the statue of Sokka) not noticing at all that she was standing under the nose mistletoe there.

[Yeah, she's pretty much in agreement with that one.]

... If I ever find out who's in charge of placing these...

[Fantasizing about violence is nice, but it doesn't get her out of the elevator any faster. She's going to have to.... ]

Aang has been trudging on in the snow, relatively bundled up. There's a beanie cap on his head that partly covers his tattoo. He was on his way home when he saw that odd sight by the statue of Sokka's head. It gave him pause; isn't that the lady he met at the cultural fair?

Hesitantly, he draws closer. Just before he enters the mistletoe's range, he hesitantly asks, "Hello?"

[He hops to his feet, glancing around madly. Mistletoe? Sakura? Mistletoe? Maybe the red already touching his cheeks could be passed off as being from the cold weather.]

Then - then what would you do?

Not looking up from her preparations she nods slightly, "One second, I am leaving an offering to this local god's shrine."

As she finishes and looks back the curse takes hold, her eyes going wide.

"You are... THAT PERSON WHO I AM FAIRLY CERTAIN IS NOT ONE OF MY SOCIAL LINKS FROM THE FAIR! HELLO!"

With that there is overjoyed and overdramatic waving.

[It's December 26th, nearing the afternoon, and Marco has yet to realize that a Shift's taken over the village. His morning was just like any other, after all, and nothing of interest was being talked about on the journal network. It isn't until close to lunchtime when he finally leaves the apartment, wandering towards the shared kitchen of the Flame Building's second floor. He doesn't notice the mistletoe hanging in the doorway until he's passed right under it and something compels him to stop in his tracks.

...What's that weird plant hanging above his head?]

December 26

[ Kakashi spends most of December 26 being foiled over and over by mistletoe, as it usually will appear far too high for him to notice. You can find him walking around Luceti in the beginning of the day, but towards the end of the day he's more or less hiding in Flame Building. ]

December 27- January 1

[ Kakashi spends the rest of the time dodging as much mistletoe as he can. If you can catch him under it long enough, maybe something interesting might happen... He'll be at his apartment most of the time, but he might sneak out for coffee and also to the Battle Dome.]

((ooc: Open to all effects, though kisses mask-down will be rare, unless Kakashi decides to blindfold/cover your character's eyes. For threadtracking, Kakashi also has appointment mistletoe threads: Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Minato))

[ Gintoki can be found anywhere and everywhere throughout Luceti, especially Ice Building, where he lives. You might also find him at the convenience store or the nearest bar or coffee shop.

All effects are more than welcome, but if you'd like a particular dose of comedy or violence, meet your number one punching bag. ]

[This is Jean's first Christmas in Luceti...actually, his first Christmas ever. The holiday and its affiliated religion are among the many facets of life before the walls that have long since been washed away from public memory back home. While he's heard a little bit about Christmas here and there over the past few weeks, the month has been low-key enough that he's not expecting the Malnosso's trademark celebratory mischief.

Catch the poor bastard around town - in Flame Building, the Battle Dome, or running errands around the plaza.]

[Quinn's obviously going to be spending "family time" with Daria, but she'll mostly be out and about! Leaving little presents for friends (except one that she wants to give In Person), little cookie or candy baskets for random strangers...all in the name of good holiday spirit! Feel free to approach her if she doesn't approach you first. Holidays are heaven for social butterflies! And yes, she's noticed the mistletoe so if any cute guys ~~or pretty girls WAIT NO SHE MEANS YES~~ wanna pucker up...~ So far she's completely naive to what it does aside from making people kiss.]

[Hikaru discovers the mistletoe itself fairly early, but, silly him, he just expects it be traditional. Sure, the first time he gets caught under it, it's no surprise he can't get away until there's a kiss. That seems like totally the sort of thing this place would do.

If he were alone, he might just hide in his room and wait for it to be over. But... Kaoru's been here long enough for him to pretend to be social again. He's even out on his own at times!

He can be found at the Item Shop, Clothing Shop (being way too picky as usual), Seventh Heaven, the Grocery Store, All Passions, Celsius Tear, and other assorted places around the village. Sometimes he's with Kaoru, sometimes he's alone.

...And they may or may not have noticed the boards on their door and turned this into a competition.]

Elizabeth was still somewhat unaware about the mistletoe, but she was at the battle dome, fiddling with the controls near a piece of it hanging high above.

"Hrm, program it says but how does one put a titan into a box?"
