Day 1
Under normal circumstances, Riku would've moved in for another attack, but seeing Firo's arm squirm like that leaves him with a sick, twisting feeling in his stomach, and he averts his eyes for a moment. That momentary pause gives just enough time for the cultist to spring back into action, and he's forced to throw up his weapon to defend.]
You know, I think we just ticked them off.
[Then again, when aren't cultists seething with rage? Of course they're not gonna hold back.]
Day 1
Firo jumps back and kicks out at one of them, not to wound, but to keep it at bay so he can catch his breath.]
Good. Maybe if they're mad they'll get even dumber.
[Not that they're stupid in the first place, but in the heat of battle Firo isn't good at insults.]
no subject
[He snickers, slashing one of the soldiers across the chest.]
Or I could nail some of these guys with some Confuse spells. That ought to even the odds.
[At least then they'd end up beating each other down instead of them. That'd buy the two some time to do real damage.]
no subject
[A cultist spear wooshes by his ear and Firo barely has time to parry. The proximity's uncomfortable even for an immortal.]
--but if you can do it, go ahead!
no subject
[Ack, leave it to cultists to make things difficult. Well, might as well get this over with. Tightening his hold on his weapon, Riku thrusts his Keyblade over his head. Whirling, white energy bursts out around him, striking any cultists within proximity. Should the spell connect, they'll get caught in a daze and start flailing around like idiots.]
no subject
Jesus-! Where'd you learn how to do that?
[As he waits for his answer, Firo darts forward to slash at the arms of the nearest cultist, disarming it while it's confused.]
no subject
[He pauses to duck and roll beneath a swooping cultist, but rather than merely sliding across the ground, his body melts into the shadows for a split-second, then reappears a few feet away.]
So what about you? That guy sliced your arm off, and here you are, good as new. Even my magic can't mend bodies like that.
no subject
He's tried to keep it a secret for a while, but there's nothing he can do now...]
Ever heard of the elixir of immortality?
no subject
Well, I've heard stories about a fountain of youth. Is it anything like that?
no subject
[He pauses to wrestle the spear away with one decisive twist, then plants it in the ground for the cultist to run into it.]
This was made by somebody.
no subject
[He whistles when the cultist trips over the spear, flinging his weapon through the air like a boomerang. It strikes another soldier in the chest, slamming them against the wall of a building.]
no subject
[He sidesteps and incoming attack and sends the cultist to the ground with a quick elbow.]
And a crazy bastard.
no subject
[Heh, talk about some fancy footwork. Grinning, he performs another Dark Roll, slashing across a soldier's chest.]
But let me guess: you took some of that elixir, and now you've got magical, reattaching limbs.
[Maybe a silly way to put it, but hey, it's a neat trick. Riku could definitely see the perks in it.]
no subject
Don't know enough to tell. But I'd believe it.
[Szilard had enough crazy for a few people. Firo can't remember much about the other alchemists thanks to Szilard deeming them too unimportant to remember.
He stumbles back to dodge an incoming slash.]
Yeah. Not just limbs, though I hope I don't get the chance to prove that to you.
[Regenerating is super cool to Firo, but he's a-okay without the pain of getting hurt in the first place.]
no subject
[Hmm, what to do next? When two more attackers dive in, Riku thrusts his weapon up towards the sky. A swelling sphere of anti gravity materializes over his head, sucking in the two cultists and throwing them around. The good news? It only seems to affect enemies, meaning Firo has nothing to worry about.]
no subject
[He doesn't finish his sentence when he sees the two cultists getting tossed around by that... thing. Whatever it is. He has a moment of panic as he wonders if it's going to mess with him, too.]
What the hell is that?!
no subject
[And while the enemies whirl around, he'll bounce up, bashing one of the cultists in the back.]
C'mon, if we hit them enough times, they'll wind up dazed once they hit the floor.
no subject
It'll be easier in the long run to just take 'em out completely.
no subject
[That's more a warning than anything-- after all, the last thing he wants is to freak him out.]
How long do you plan on keeping at this?
[There's always the option to clean up and bail, but hey. Some people prefer to fight until they drop.]
no subject
[He glances over at Riku as he blocks a cultist's strike.]
And I'm gonna keep at it until they're all on the ground.
[He knows it's not the best idea, but, hey, he has some revenge to get.]
no subject
[He squeezes his Keyblade, eyes narrowing.]
But if you want to wrap things up, I can give it a shot. Otherwise, I'll just stick to the basics.
no subject
[No matter how much control Riku may have, the risk isn't worth it. In the heat of battle, anyone can slip up. Plus, Firo doesn't want to find out what it's like to be crushed by a meteor.]
no subject
[Whoa! Hold that thought. For a second, Riku forgot that these guys can use Filial magic, and so he's forced to block with his Keyblade, then roll to the side.]
Okay, new plan. If I can't blow these guys up, I can at least try to freeze them for a while. You up for a couple winged punching bags?
no subject
You bet I am.
[He stands back to give Riku space to do whatever it is he needs to do.]
no subject
[Grinning, he kicks into the air, slashing across a nearby cultist and then... disappears, for a split-second. The cultist stiffens like a statue and Riku reappears, delivering another slash. He across one cultist, then the next, until a whole flock of them are hanging suspended in midair, like giant, feathery targets.
When Riku lands, he takes a deep breath, brushes his hands together, and steps aside, giving Firo room to strike.]
Okay. They're all yours.
