This post is for the draftee-only portion of the Zompania draft--the day 3 death, time travel to day 1, and then the events until the arrival of the reinforcements. Be sure to use the above info post for any plotting needs you might have. Enjoy!

Please note that there is a specific top-level comment thread for:

• The day 3 arrival of the draftees and the 6 hours that follow until the bomb is dropped
  
• Death--This thread can be treated as REFERENCE ONLY. Responding to it isn't necessary.

[Firo shakes his head as he knocks one of the cultists in the back of the head with his knife hilt.]

It'll be easier in the long run to just take 'em out completely.

Well, I could just drop some meteors on them and call it a day.

[That's more a warning than anything-- after all, the last thing he wants is to freak him out.]

How long do you plan on keeping at this?

[There's always the option to clean up and bail, but hey. Some people prefer to fight until they drop.]

Wait, you can actually do that?

[He glances over at Riku as he blocks a cultist's strike.]

And I'm gonna keep at it until they're all on the ground.

[He knows it's not the best idea, but, hey, he has some revenge to get.]

Yep. The downside's that it'll probably wreck more than just those cultists...

[He squeezes his Keyblade, eyes narrowing.]

But if you want to wrap things up, I can give it a shot. Otherwise, I'll just stick to the basics.

Don't. The other people around us would get pissed off if we risked their lives too.

[No matter how much control Riku may have, the risk isn't worth it. In the heat of battle, anyone can slip up. Plus, Firo doesn't want to find out what it's like to be crushed by a meteor.]

Got it. Guess I'll just have to--

[Whoa! Hold that thought. For a second, Riku forgot that these guys can use Filial magic, and so he's forced to block with his Keyblade, then roll to the side.]

Okay, new plan. If I can't blow these guys up, I can at least try to freeze them for a while. You up for a couple winged punching bags?

[He can't help but smile at that suggestion.]

You bet I am.

[He stands back to give Riku space to do whatever it is he needs to do.]

Then you might want to stand back.

[Grinning, he kicks into the air, slashing across a nearby cultist and then... disappears, for a split-second. The cultist stiffens like a statue and Riku reappears, delivering another slash. He across one cultist, then the next, until a whole flock of them are hanging suspended in midair, like giant, feathery targets.

When Riku lands, he takes a deep breath, brushes his hands together, and steps aside, giving Firo room to strike.]

Okay. They're all yours.

[Firo obliges, unable to hide his surprise when Riku vanishes. There's a lot he's wondering about this guy right now.

When Riku reappears with the cultists frozen, Firo nods to him.]

Thanks!

[He darts back between the cultists, methodically stabbing each one between the ribs, where he can reach.]

[And as Firo lands his blows, Riku plays the part of the cautious onlooker, occasionally glancing to the sky. Good news is, Stop spells tend to hold enemies long enough to deal serious damage, so depending on how fast he moves, he might be able to wipe them all out before the spell subsides.

Whatever the case, Riku'll applaud once he's done. After all, there's something so fulfilling about watching cultists get helplessly cut down.]

[Firo goes as quickly as he can, intent on finishing off the cultists.

The applause startles him and he stares at Riku a moment to make sure he's not being mocked.]

...Thanks. I woulda' saved some for you, but... At least it's over?

[For now.]

[He waves one of his hands and shrugs his shoulders.]

Hey, I think I've already had my share of the spotlight. But you're right-- coast's clear for now.

[He takes a few steps forward, glancing around the area.]

Question is, what now? You gonna chase after more cultists?

[foundafamily]

[Firo smiles.]

I'll say. You did some pretty neat stuff.

[He runs a hand through his hair, following Riku's gaze all around them.]

Well, yeah. What else is there to do? We gotta beat these guys somehow and ignorin' 'em isn't gonna cut it.

Heh, thanks, and you weren't half bad yourself.

[His eyes go wide for a second at Firo's second remark, and a soft chuckle squirms out of him.]

Sure, but aren't you afraid you'll run yourself into the ground? I'm all for wiping out the Third Party, but everybody's got their limits.

[foundafamily]

[Firo smiles. Immortality isn't just good for repairing wounds--it doesn't totally take away exhaustion, but it'll keep him from collapsing from it. That's all he needs.]

I'll be fine. I got my ways.

What about you?

[stilldontgotit]

[He reaches for his chin, gazing up at the sky.]

Hmm... Tough call. I mean, I'm not about to sit still while the Third Party wrecks the place. And I'd have to be a pretty lousy Keyblade Master to call it quits right now...

[He shrugs.]

Guess I'll just scope out the city a bit more. Find out which places are getting hit the hardest and start there.

[He nods.]

Sounds like a good enough plan. Just be careful. Nobody wants to die twice in a couple days.

Hey, I've been in worse scrapes than this. Trust me.

[He starts to turn around, then pauses.]

...Name's Riku, by the way.

[Even after seeing that Riku's more than competent, it's still good to know he's not new to this.
