[Where there once was a blue disc that stood as the "Gate" through which Lucetians could pass through, there is now a blue figure that has the appearance of a poor-quality hologram or a ghost. It's a little old man, and he's very eager to talk to anyone that passes by.]

Hello? Hello! Excuse me, could I ask you some questions?

You're really... blue. [He is a master of observation!]

Your head is very spiky! [So's this guy, apparently.]

[OTP.] It is! [He proudly ruffles some of his hair for extra poof.] It's good to meet you, Blue Guy! I'm Daisuke. [He's trying to shake the hologram's hand, and is fairly bewildered at the impossible-ness of the task.]

[The hologram mimes it anyway.] My, and exceptionally wonderful to meet you as well! I'm the maker of the gate.

[His mouth drops open] You made that thing?? You must be CRAZY smart!

Oh I am a bit! Though most of my thanks must go to the person beneath which I studied. He's absolutely brilliant.

Maybe, but he's not here and you are! That makes you way cooler.

...oh my. I've never been cool before!

Well I guess there's a first time for everything!

You got a name? Something I can call you by?

Oh gracious me, I fear I don't have one at the moment. Well, I do but I don't like it and it's terribly long and I hate saying it so I was attempting to find a nickname for myself. But it appears I can only think of ladies' names! So I must consult someone else.

Isn't it terrible having a name you don't like? I don't get why we can't pick out our own names in the first place! It's a really personal thing to be letting someone else decide, don't you think?

Young man, you speak the truth! Why, I would have loved to be called "Catherine" but alas, that name is not meant to be mine. What tragedy!

Who says it can't? I'll totally call you Catherine if that's what you want!

[The hologram pauses. Looks at Daisuke.] Young man...you would?

'Course I would, Catherine! You should get to be called whatever you want.

Gracious me, but you're a dear! What a lovely spirit, what a giving personality, what a heart!

That's me! [Daisuke grins; he likes this guy a lot.] So how come you're hanging around here anyway?
