IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the nature of this situation, basically people are encouraged to make suggestions or openly mingle. I'll be posting what Raine wants to address, and then other people are encouraged to bring up other suggestions. Maybe flag them as a [Raises hand] or something to broach discussion on. If someone raises a point that you wanted to bring up, perhaps reply to it or supplement it somehow, to reduce the possibility of spam/people getting overlooked. Feel free to mingle before and after.

[Wherever the meeting is actually held, it would have been set up for a group of people to either sit or stand at their convenience at some point, depending on the volunteers available. Some people are welcome to act of ushers of a sort, making sure that things don't get out of hand. Regardless of the number, it'll probably be very crowded.]

The barriers are used to protect against the Third Party, yes. I doubt they're inside this barrier, though.

If there's other barriers out there, does that mean there are other villages just like this one? Experiments included.

Yes and no. Supposedly we're the only village that's subjected to the experiments, since we're the Organization's project. We are not the first group to be in this position; there have been many before us. We have been told that those groups did not make it when they faced the Third Party.

We've been told that others are taken to towns for protection against the Third Party... and likely are trained to fight them, in some manner, or simply go about their lives as they can. Although according to our Observer, they are considerably weaker than our group trapped in here.

If our group is stronger than the rest, ans it comes to an attack against the Third Party, then we're the ones who're gonna be dragged into this mess. Can't say thats a reassurin' thought.

And if they Malnosso put us in a barrier to protect us from the Third Party, why the heck are they experimentin' on us? [He sighs.] I'm not sure who's worse.

They're trying to use their experiments to find a method that would procure a "safe" way home. It hasn't exactly been effective, and their treatment of us persists. It's probably just easier and eases their guilt if they don't think of us as being actual people, given the tendency to refer to us as mice with no say in any matter.

Huh so that's what the experiments are about... Then they go a weird way about accomplishin' that. But they must care about us, if they go through the effort of makin' sure we're brought back after bein' killed. Even if that caring is nothin' more than just lab rats.

Could be they're trying to find the right Shift to send us home and keep messing up. [Don't mind her jumping in.]

Raine, how long were people here for before the Third Party attacked Luceti?

If that's the case, then how are people gettin' sent home ta begin with? Is it just an accident or dumb luck?

Hm? It took place toward the end of August last year, which was six months ago. It was a few months before the two year mark for the people who have been here the longest.

That's a bit odd. If this sort of thing has been going on for so long and the Third Party has attacked people before this, you'd think they would come here and try to kill us all much earlier than that.

It's my understanding that they're usually trying. It's because of the barrier that they aren't successful. In most attempts, anyway. [There are other things that bother her, but now's not really the place for theories.]

And you mentioned something that went over the journals about ritual sacrifice. Whose journal? The guy that was being killed?

That's right. It was one of the traitors to the Malnosso who began talking to us about these things in the first place. He's referred to as Jacob.
