Mass-Interaction in Desset

Who: Draftees.
What: FIGHT FOR YOUR LIVES... or wander around. idfk.
When: Anytime this week.
Where: Desset City
Summary: Mass-interaction post in the city for the poor souls who've been drafted.
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R.

[With permission from the mods, I've gone ahead and put up this... post... for everyone who was interested in actually threading in the city. You can either prose or write in first-person; totally up to you. Actually threading a fight with the Third Party is also optional. Just keep in mind that if you do you'll have to be the one controlling the enemy's actions and whatnot. If you're not sure how to go about that, just remember the information they've provided us with. They're not very tough, but if you still need an idea with how they fight, just read up on this a bit. Please do remember that the enemies we're fighting are weaker compared to the ones previously fought, though. |D;

But yeah. Mass-interaction, guys. YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO.]

I could. He provides decent transportation at times. [Another wry look as he considers what Ted is saying.] ...Yes, we can certainly leave him behind. [If the bird doesn't try to follow.]

[identity profile] 300yrswandering.livejournal.com 2010-03-19 08:20 am (UTC)(link)
Not now. [Since they were all out here, and he supposed the owl was an ally.] I was thinking he might be safer in the quarters at least, but if he can be used for transportation... I suppose it's a good reason as any here. [Definitely not a bad reason to bring him around at least.]
chikaidestroyer: (Glance)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-03-19 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose if we did not need live steeds, we could do without the owl. But as it is, this isn't the time to learn how to use a "jeep." [Referring to Derek's relatively large vehicle.]
chikaidestroyer: (Glance through a fringe - darker)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-03-19 08:53 am (UTC)(link)
That metal contraption that somewhat resembled a wagon. [He gestures vaguely, not knowing how else to describe it.] Probably more efficient transportation, but it's technology we don't know of.

[He stops talking as he sees shadows overhead.]

[identity profile] 300yrswandering.livejournal.com 2010-03-19 09:01 am (UTC)(link)
[Ted would have complained about these weird contraptions other worlds possess (like that stupid movie which was actually a television with a dvd set he didn't know how to use anyway) when he notices Albert looking away. He turns to the direction he's looking at, trying to see what was wrong.]
chikaidestroyer: (Ice cold)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-03-19 09:20 am (UTC)(link)
...Turn down your light. [Albert turns over the sunstone he's carrying in a hurry, shoving it in one of his pockets. He keeps his voice hushed.]

[identity profile] 300yrswandering.livejournal.com 2010-03-19 09:32 am (UTC)(link)
[Ted quickly turns the flashlight off, trying to adjust his eyes in the dark as much as he could.] What is it?
chikaidestroyer: (Overseer)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-03-19 09:42 am (UTC)(link)
[The owl clacks a comment about "flying not-foods." Albert tries to shut up the bird by pressing its wing before speaking.] ...Cultists.

[Up above, a light shines. And then another. And another.]

[identity profile] 300yrswandering.livejournal.com 2010-03-19 09:44 am (UTC)(link)
[That pretty much sums it up. Ted readies his bow almost instantly, one hand holding an arrow from his quiver, ready to pull it out and shoot should they need to fight. Damn, here he was hoping he had avoided them too.]
chikaidestroyer: (Serious glance)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-03-19 09:59 am (UTC)(link)
[Albert isn't all that sure what to do. Now that they've suppressed their own lights, their field of vision is limited. But they can definitely see the Third Party troops overhead.]

...We should quietly find cover. I don't think they see us yet.

[identity profile] 300yrswandering.livejournal.com 2010-03-19 10:03 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds like a plan. [His voice is hushed, his attention quickly turning from the troops to their surroundings. A small area nearby catches his attention, hidden enough not to be seen overhead for now, at least, from what he can make out from the very limited lighting.] How about that one?
chikaidestroyer: (Looking out)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-03-19 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
[Albert nods, though it might be difficult to see in the dark.] Let's go.

[Unfortunately, even as he's moving towards the shelter, Albert can hear the scrape and creak of metal.

It sounds close. And very heavy.]

[identity profile] 300yrswandering.livejournal.com 2010-03-20 11:07 am (UTC)(link)
[Ted frowned at the sound, trying not to look around as much as he wants to in order to pinpoint where exactly they're coming from. He has a feeling their vision is a lot better than theirs right now, and the moment he starts looking around might just be the moment they strike.]
chikaidestroyer: (Surprise)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-03-21 09:29 am (UTC)(link)
["Strike" is definitely the word to use in this case. The ground underneath them abruptly rises up, twisted metal shooting through the concrete and up about three feet.

Albert stumbles backwards with a hiss, and it's only through some small miracle that he doesn't trip over the cracked concrete.]

[identity profile] 300yrswandering.livejournal.com 2010-03-21 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Albert! [He was about to help him when the flap of wings catches his attention. Did they spot them already?

Damn, would going for cover even help now?]
Are you okay?
chikaidestroyer: (Frustration)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-03-21 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Fine. Don't raise your voice. [His voice is sharp as he tries to regain his footing in the semidarkness. He looks up at the lights overhead, noticing them growing larger and brighter as the cultists descended.]

We need to get out of here. [He reached out to feel along the metal spires, working his away around them to continue in the direction Ted had pointed out.]

[identity profile] 300yrswandering.livejournal.com 2010-03-22 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
[He promptly shuts his mouth at that. He tries to make sure that at the very least, Albert could get to hiding safely. He was still, after all, a non-combatant, and from the looks of it, they weren't exactly going to be safe for too long at this rate.

Making sure none of his clothes gets accidentally snagged onto anything, as well as keeping an eye on Albert's movements in case he needs assistance, Ted slowly led them through the rubble.]
chikaidestroyer: (Looking out)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-03-22 08:41 am (UTC)(link)
[Albert pushed his satchel behind him as he followed after Ted, steadying himself as he ran into more cracked concrete. The roof ahead was still in one piece, and he pressed against the wall once they had made their way over to it.

Meanwhile, the lights had reached ground level. The cultists were now searching on foot.]

[identity profile] 300yrswandering.livejournal.com 2010-03-22 03:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[He frowned, keeping silent as he watches the movements of lights, making sure not to be seen whenever they moved it towards their direction.

His hand went back to his arrow though, still not pulling it, but ready just in case.]
chikaidestroyer: (Keep the silence)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-03-23 08:35 am (UTC)(link)
[The lights are lingering at that same distance several yards away, as if the cultists are trying to decide where to do. They eventually split up, two of the lights growing larger as the cultists move closer.

Albert sinks back against the wall, trying to look around in the dark. They could duck down a nearby alleyway, but there was no telling how long they would be in the dark there and what was on the other side. For now, he just keeps low and watches the lights.]

[identity profile] 300yrswandering.livejournal.com 2010-03-23 08:45 am (UTC)(link)
[Ted frowns, annoyed at the fact that they came this way, since he had hoped to avoid battle. He didn't want to move too much in case they notice him shift in movement, but he was wary since he wasn't sure just how they fought. Hopefully they don't have some strange ability that makes them appear all over the place in one go.

The lights getting bigger was not making him feel better.]
chikaidestroyer: (Ice cold)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-03-23 04:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[Albert keeps an eye on Ted, trying to judge what the boy was going to do in this situation. He carefully reaches into his satchel for a scroll, glancing out at the approaching lights warily.]

[identity profile] 300yrswandering.livejournal.com 2010-03-24 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
[When the light turned to another direction for a brief moment, Ted took advantage of that to pull an arrow out, positioning himself a little better so that he can aim properly in the dark, though his weapon wasn't actually focused on them just yet. With the lights, at least, he can see a better outline of the enemy.

At least he is grateful for small wonders. His eyes were finally adjusting to the dark.]
chikaidestroyer: (Looking out)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-03-24 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
[The light definitely helps in that regard. Unfortunately, the light also catches the glint of a blade. The hiss of a blade leaving its sheath is definitely audible. Another blade leaves its sheath, even quicker than the first.]
