(no subject)

Who: Frontliners, Infiltrators, Kidnappees (See here for info)
What: The attack on the base!
When: October 11th (all day)
Where: Renegade Malnosso Facility
Rating: Varies on thread!

It had been over twenty-four hours since the infiltration. The Malnosso were notorious for their long work hours, many pulling twenty hour shifts at any given time. Fortunately, each department had its share of private resting areas with beds to allow the overworked staff - or infiltrators - get some much needed shut eye between tasks. But now there allies were arriving. All the information they had gathered and sabotaged planned was about to go into play. Would they be successful?

As for the kidnapped, John's pill was finally starting to cancel out the effects of the drugs. Already brighter and more alert than before, it would soon be time for their escape and either flee or help their comrades storm the building.

The front line attackers had met with their strategist before the battle and were now positioned in the forested area around the facility, out of sight and mind for the Malnosso inside. All they needed was the sign to attack from their person inside.

----

OOC Notes: Note that when the front liners attack, security checkpoints and Shifting should be disabled. For those curious about Floor 3, there is still no access to it. HOWEVER, there is no longer a Shift protecting it. If any character is reckless or foolish enough to access it, do so while considering the possibility of your character being seriously injured (or even killed!) in what ensues.

To recap: read Albert's OOC marching orders. Security guards are armed with short swords, night sticks, and hand guns. Most have normal human abilities, but higher ranked guards in high security areas will be highly skilled and may possess some amount of superhuman strength and speed. The Malnosso droids/drones all possess superhuman strength and speed. Since everyone is at full power, they are at 'half strength' relative to what people are used to. Brute strength and strong electrical attacks will be effective on them. It's also possible the infiltrators will keep most of them from ever activating to respond to the attack. They are not invincible and with enough effort, people should be able to handle them.
Note: Thanks to the infiltrators, most of the drones have been disabled and won't activate during the alarm. A small number will be present, but no more than twenty at the most.

Finally, going back to Floor 3, there will be a separate thread within the log for that. If someone attempts to enter it after the battle, I'll setup the scenario there for people to interact with.

[And from a joining corridor, there is a sudden ruckus. One loud CLANG, a painful sounding crack, and the sound of a body hitting the floor later, there is a knight coming around the corner, spoiling for batt- oh. Oh, it's just you. What a relief.]

Don't go that way.

/deep breath: Katara, Sokka, Ami, Sig, yes?

[personal profile] markofthebrave 2010-10-13 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I--

[Whirling at the noise, stance set.

Oh, it's just you. She gives Sigmund a quick smile. Sorry, she totally didn't meant to get separated earlier. She straightens up from her stance.]
We're heading out.
markofthewise: (Constipated)

[Oh snap, it's Sigmund. Sokka was totally not being wussy and have his hand bleeding. He stands up straight.]

Oh, good. That gives us one less direction to go. [No going back, no going through the wall, not going corner-ways.] Forward it is, then.

katara->sokka->ami->sig (keep this subject line for reference?)

[On guard immediately - only to relax when the others do.]

Let's go, then.

[A quick glance at Sokka]

The wound really did disappear...
chaincutter: (determined)

[personal profile] chaincutter 2010-10-13 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
[Sigmund gives Sokka a searching look, then nods at Katara and... some other girl he doesn't know.]

I'll cover the rear.
markofthebrave: (Set.)

[personal profile] markofthebrave 2010-10-13 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
[Katara nods back at Sigmund.] Sigmund, this is Ami. Ami, this is Sigmund.

[And Katara glances at Sokka, then.] Ready?
markofthewise: (Yeah. No.)

[personal profile] markofthewise 2010-10-13 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
[Why are you looking at him?]

Of course I'm ready! Why wouldn't I be ready? Let's go. [Yeesh. Proceeding forward, taking the lead obviously, in the direction of that guard he casually tossed through a glass door earlier.]

[identity profile] no-use-running.livejournal.com 2010-10-13 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
[Ingrained habits are ingrained, and Ami gives a quick bow to Sigmund]

Pleased to meet you.

[Yes, really, in the middle of all of this. But she gets moving right afterward, at least.]
chaincutter: (vaguely intrigued)

[personal profile] chaincutter 2010-10-13 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
[He's looking at Sokka because Sokka is about as nonchalant as a bright pink narbear. But now's not really the time to comment, on that or on Ami's surprising adherence to manners, so he files it away for later.]

Without getting separated, ideally.
markofthebrave: This was recently drawn for me, so I'd appreciate if you waited a bit before taking! (The Look of Hope)

[personal profile] markofthebrave 2010-10-13 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
[She didn't mean to! It's not her fault you wouldn't ask for directions! Katara is only kept from rolling her eyes by a pang of guilt - she'd meant to keep an eye on him, in case. And she turns instead to give him a quick, assessing look.

He didn't appear to be wounded. And so she just nods.]
Let's go.
markofthewise: (Go snickersnack)

[personal profile] markofthewise 2010-10-13 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
[And onward they go. Once they're at the exit, there will be several guards waiting for them. Sokka goes into the fight wielding the night stick, because he's not particularly concerned if he breaks that. Some of them may end up getting tossed around like rag dolls. This is a very new and unusual way to fight for Sokka.]

[Mercury fights hand to hand, landing a few sharp blows that hit her opponent but don't seem to do too much damage; she lacks physical strength, however much her mobility starts to make up for it.]
chaincutter: (hero time!)

[personal profile] chaincutter 2010-10-13 06:55 am (UTC)(link)
[Sigmund is holding his sword in a reverse grip that it was really never intended for, and alternately smashing the pommel against guards' skulls or using the flat of the blade like a baseball bat. The ones that don't get that get battered with his shield. It's an unwieldy way to fight, but thankfully it doesn't take many hits from him to knock a guard out. He still keeps an eye on the others as much as he can, although he isn't really all that concerned at this point.]
