Who: Frontliners, Infiltrators, Kidnappees (See here for info)
What: The attack on the base!
When: October 11th (all day)
Where: Renegade Malnosso Facility
Rating: Varies on thread!
It had been over twenty-four hours since the infiltration. The Malnosso were notorious for their long work hours, many pulling twenty hour shifts at any given time. Fortunately, each department had its share of private resting areas with beds to allow the overworked staff - or infiltrators - get some much needed shut eye between tasks. But now there allies were arriving. All the information they had gathered and sabotaged planned was about to go into play. Would they be successful?
As for the kidnapped, John's pill was finally starting to cancel out the effects of the drugs. Already brighter and more alert than before, it would soon be time for their escape and either flee or help their comrades storm the building.
The front line attackers had met with their strategist before the battle and were now positioned in the forested area around the facility, out of sight and mind for the Malnosso inside. All they needed was the sign to attack from their person inside.
----
OOC Notes: Note that when the front liners attack, security checkpoints and Shifting should be disabled. For those curious about Floor 3, there is still no access to it. HOWEVER, there is no longer a Shift protecting it. If any character is reckless or foolish enough to access it, do so while considering the possibility of your character being seriously injured (or even killed!) in what ensues.
To recap: read Albert's OOC marching orders. Security guards are armed with short swords, night sticks, and hand guns. Most have normal human abilities, but higher ranked guards in high security areas will be highly skilled and may possess some amount of superhuman strength and speed. The Malnosso droids/drones all possess superhuman strength and speed. Since everyone is at full power, they are at 'half strength' relative to what people are used to. Brute strength and strong electrical attacks will be effective on them. It's also possible the infiltrators will keep most of them from ever activating to respond to the attack. They are not invincible and with enough effort, people should be able to handle them.
Note: Thanks to the infiltrators, most of the drones have been disabled and won't activate during the alarm. A small number will be present, but no more than twenty at the most.
Finally, going back to Floor 3, there will be a separate thread within the log for that. If someone attempts to enter it after the battle, I'll setup the scenario there for people to interact with.

When the others arrive, he takes the time for a brief review (http://community.livejournal.com/lucetilocked/5183.html?thread=419647#t419647). After all that's taken care of, though, he'll just sit back, giving the others a chance to discuss things with each other before they head out. Of course, until then, anyone on the frontlines unit can still approach him if they have questions, need advice, or anything else before they leave.]

Floor 3
Floor 3
He was just headed up from the second floor via the stairway when he runs into something peculiar where the entrance to the third floor should be. There's an outline of what may have been a door at some point, but it's been filled with steel and concrete. So for now, he'll just stand there and stare. Having been in a detainment cell for most of the time here, he hasn't heard the nasty rumors about the third floor.
Will someone join him as he tries to decide whether there's anything beyond the blockage worthwhile?]

[Sheena, Jennifer, and Guy - also seeking escape]
You guys awake?
[Sheena, Jennifer, and Guy - also seeking escape]
{Not too long after the fighting starts, they can hear someone at the door. There's a short scuffle, a thump, and then the muffled beep of an access card being used.
After a moment, an older man, blonde, blue eyes, in a tan jacket, peers into the room. He seems to sniff the iar for a second, frowning, and then looks at Sheena.]
...Have your cards. Here. [And he tosses them, neatly bound together, to her.]
Out, to the left, second elevator to the right. Guards are taken care of already.
[And then he's gone again.]

Floor 3 - Part 2
Looking inside, the walls are covered with thick meaty flesh. It seems almost human in texture, but old and worn. Some parts are stretched, others are wrinkled. Even more so, other parts contract and expand, almost as if it was breathing. Other parts merely twitch, as if the sudden movement outside had been noticed. Along the edge of the ceiling is more flesh, but curious tentacles hang from it. They are strong, quick, and eager to grab anything that comes close to them. Worse yet, they regenerate frighteningly quick. Even the tentacles that are cut will still attempt to seize anything near it until it eventually withers away from being cut off. Protruding from other sections of the floor, ceiling, and walls are large orbs that seem curiously like eyes. They dart around, as if tracking some unseen objects. Others, however, remain fixated on the humans outside and will follow their movements.
Worse yet, near the door is not bones, but corpses half integrated into the fleshy walls and floor. Curiously they seem to have not yet been consumed, as if their death was only just recent. In fact, the flesh seems to be slowly drawing them in. They are clearly Malnosso scientists. Looks of horror are frozen forever on their face, even as they are consumed. This should seem extremely odd, as the walled off door that was just blown appeared to have been untampered with for months. Should they dare to go in further, the sounds of whimpering can be heard. There's a man inside, lodged inside one of the walls with only his chest and head still free. A pool of blood runs from his chest, though he seems oblivious to that as he struggles to free himself. His ID tag identifies him as "Islor", a low level scientist.
His cries and rambling is almost impossible to understand. However he seems to indicate that there was an accident and that he tried to stop 'her', but she wouldn't listen. Among his incoherent babbling, he mentions a "powerful shift" and "temporal freeze", for whatever that means. He will beg for them to just kill him. Any attempts to free him will end in his death and he is far beyond even the most powerful healing magic. What happens to them is their decision, as he has nothing more meaningful to offer beyond meaningless babble and sobbing. If they do nothing, he will be absorbed like the rest of the corpses.
Beyond them, an entire floor awaits them shrouded in darkness. The foul stench goes deeper inside and the sounds of strange unearthly creatures can be heard.]
(frozen comment) OOC Notes
The large eyes along the fleshy inside are very sensitive to light and will react violently to it, shaking the entire room and the tentacles from the ceiling attempting to pull them in. The deeper inside, the more dangerous it is. In fact, lingering in there too long will almost certainly end in your character's death. So hopefully they have some sense of self preservation!]

OOC: Room for one more?
[Tail end of the assault] [Basment Level 3 (previously captured people area)]
His evoker is one hand and in the other is a short sword he took from an unconscious Malnosso security guard near the beginning of the floor. The few workers still remaining in this area don't seem to care though, not paying attention to anything except hiding or trying to escape. One who does question him runs off as soon as he points the gun at her. It may not be real, but it's still a good bluff.
When he reaches the cells, he starts checking each one through the one-way windows. Feel free to run into him, if you happen to be in the same area.]
*moves this here*
He makes finding the people that he's carrying things for priority; Sokka, Albert, Sheena. Once he finds all of them, he's gone again, this time to a different floor. He'd found what he'd personally come for, and with Bats and others clearing the other floors, well, at least he had the excuse of making sure no guards came from this floor either.
Raphael. He'd seen his housemate during their recon. He hadn't said anything then...but now, it was time to act.
...The two guards coming down the hallway towards the elevator had a sudden, nasty surprise as Derek walked past them, and then turned on a dime, taking the first down with a blow to the face, and then turned on the other, punching him in the throat.]

Disabling the Shift machines
Three employees entered the elevator with them, talking animatedly amongst themselves while they waited to descend one floor. Albert was as cold as ice by comparison, silent the entire while.]
[action]
The elevator stops on the sixth floor, but the doors don't open. ... For half a minute, anyway. One of the researchers mutters something about inferior technology still being primary in the building, while another mentions just how expensive it would be to Shift from one place to the other. Only one of them heads off of the elevator at the sixth floor with Albert and Raine, however, while a couple of others move past them to step inside. Time to swipe in and keep moving.]

INSIDE, MID-BATTLE who wants to fight two droids with Kamina
[ CRASH CRASH CLANG craaaaaack ] ...alright, so your heads are a little tough!
I'LL TAKE YOU BOTH ON, ANYWAY!
[ The narrow hallway is working to his disadvantage. Kamina figured this out after the first couple times he was smashed into the wall; debris is scattered up and down the previously pristine-interior and at least two holes have been punched through to adjoining rooms.
The droids themselves are looking battered but functional and Kamina is pretty much in the same boat, breathing hard and bleeding.
That grin, however, is still plastered on his face. ]
Come on!
[ FOR REFERENCE: he is on the ground floor! ]

Are you alright? [he shouts - already, the droid is starting to move again, jerky movements and flying ice chips as it pushes against the ice.]
